Very fun place! The music was great! Loved the DJ. However it was SO hot in there. A lot of people, myself included, were fanning themselves with menus. The food was also good. Such a fun spot to hang out at with friends. The lounge style atmosphere is cool, amplified with the light show by the bowling lanes. Service wise, they've got some work to do. All the employees are a bit abrupt, and the women's restroom was an absolute mess, coupled with the cloying smell of weed permeating through the walls. I've been here a few times. A little expensive on Fridays and Saturdays but a really good deal for Mondays thru Thursday. They have music and 18 lanes. On the weekends if you go past 9, everyone needs to be over 21 and they have bouncers at the door. On Thursday the shoe rental is 6$ and then 5$ per game per person! Fun & happy music! read more

We have not been bowling in a few year. We decided to meet up with one of our daughters recently and settled on bowling. After looking online for places to try, we wanted to give Revolutions a try. The bowling side of the busy consists of a large number of modern, well kept lanes with automatic scoring, a variety of different sized balls and comfortable seating. A number of sports and TV shows are shown on the many screens and music is played . Looks like there is a dj set up for night time. Behind each lane is a seating pit with tables to enjoy a meal at. Also readily available are paper plates,to go containers and napkins. There is a service bar with a variety of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic. We glanced at the menu but we had dinner plans elsewhere. A large number of patrons were eating and the food looked good. Everything was clean and well maintained including the large restrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. On the other side of the building is an arcade with a number of games. You have to purchase a card to use the games and prize tickets are automatically added to the card. All in all, we had a nice time and will return. read more

The atmosphere in here is very nice here on a Saturday night. No kids allowed and need to have a 21 + id. There's a live dj playing the latest hits or he takes request. We came here last weekend for a surprised 40th bday party with a group of 20 adults. They let you have alcohol and order food while you play. The vibe is almost luxurious and it was a good night. The drinks were decent, I didn't have a speciality drink just beer. We ordered chicken wings, buffalo chicken dip, and sampler for our group to eat. The food was decent but I could have not ordered the dip since we barely touched it. It was good, it may have been we were full from the other food we ordered. We had fun! Until our second game was cut short. We figured if we wanted to bowl more we could just go back to the front. Unfortunately when we did that in frame 4 of our second game, we were told there was a waitlist, so we couldn't finish our game- bummer! So then we sat at the booth behind our lane to see that.. for 40 minutes NO one came onto our lane. Upon leaving, I made sure to voice my disappointment in their system of taking waitlist customers over present customers, and was met with what I'll call attitude. "There was a waitlist.. it's not usually that way..." etc etc. I explained I'm not from the area and wouldn't be a repeat customer anyways, but it was just disappointing to sit there and see no one come to the lane we were kicked off of. Let me start off with saying, the food is great. Everything was cooked as I ordered it and had a great taste for the price. A band was playing and we were having fun! But when I went to order food the bartender was a little rude. Apparently they gave me the wrong burger (someone else's). When I went to get my drink at the bar the bartender poured my drink with a dead look in his eyes. I smiled back at him but I guess he always in a bad mood. Came here to bowl with two groups of friends two separate times. The first time it was during a late night with a live DJ during a cosmic bowling event. The layout is pretty club like with leather couches below the major bowling area making it easy to have food and drinks below and bowl and chat up top. The place is pretty much up to date with easy to understand computers to input bowlers and bumpers that can automatically come up for those that need it on your team. We usually go through two games in about 2 and a half hours which is a good time between everyone chatting, bowling and grabbing food/drinks. There is a separate section for the bar behind glass walls that does it best to separate the noise from the bowling alley which is nice. There you can get your typical drafts, mix drinks and other items you would want. There is a separate arcade on the other side with many different arcade games and ticket games. Food is pretty standard with pizza, wings, fries and sandwiches. There seems to be different specials for different days of the week. All in all not a bad bowling alley for the Manchester/Windsor area that doesn't really have much in terms of bowling. read more

The manager Patrick W is very rude and disrespectful and bragged about the fact that he get to hit customers if he feels the need to . He serves cold uncooked French fries to my table and told us that he will do what he want when he wants and if we have a problem to do something about it . The workers were also assisting him in being rude but I only feel they did it so that they wouldn't have to deal with a mean boss them selves. Drinks are decent price and the food is okay . I had another great time at Revolutions Bowling! It's a cool location for all ages, during the weekends try to go early especially on Friday nights. The scale is rather small compared to other places so the lanes can fill up quickly. I like that they have also included arcade room. The small bar/restaurant provides lots of options. If your finding yourself in the middle of any games the polite and courteous staff walk around getting drink and food orders while delivering them to your lanes. Although Its very loud with the music you can still sit comfortably in the lounge or play pool. It's a nice ambiance here (club meets bowling lol) and great for date nights. They also do ID after certain hours. The four stars are due to the lack of lanes. I called before going to ensure we could get a lane and was told they should have some after 11:00pm. I recalled we got there close to 11:30 and were informed we couldn't be allowed in since they're closing early due to all the lanes being filled. Revolution's has been a continuous place I've enjoyed going so that is why I'm always persistent to phone ahead. The second day we went back but extremely earlier. I came here for a league for about 8 weeks, and have never been so continuously disappointed and infuriated by an establishment. The food service is horrible. The food itself is decent for bowling alley bar food, but they have one waiter serving 20+ lanes so you don't really ever get served. If you want something, you have to walk up to the bar, and there's only ever one bartender, so if you're on a fast moving team, it's quite annoying. The lanes themselves suck. Five out of eight weeks they moved us in the middle of our game because the lanes broke, after not offering to fix it. We tried to personally reset the lanes numerous times, and they never offered to fix it, just moved us. I will not be rejoining my league unless they move bowling alleys. Since about the last 3-4 months, I have been trying to get more active. So for my outings with friends and dates with the husband, we try to do anything that doesn't involve sitting down and eating. Revolutions is one fun way to do just that. The cherry on this cake was a recent deal where we had 2 bowling games and some points to play arcade games with. Let's talk about the bowling alley first. The alley was clean, and there is a nice lounge-like area right by the lanes. The lanes were clean, and the balls were relatively new. The crowd was mostly comprised of families or teenagers out for an evening with friends. There is a standard selection of food and drinks available, nothing new to report really. The bar area is separated with a glass panel, so it's nice and quiet in case you want to bring your teenager or kids and enjoy some time separately or just sit around to keep an eye on them while they play. The arcade is small but it has a fun selection of games. Again, not exceptional, but clean, and it has enough to keep you entertained for a while. Pac-Man, racing cars, ice hockey, spin the wheel etc. I had a good time. The staff who served us at the reception as well as the arcade, were both really sweet. I would go back happily. read more

My friends and I were looking for a pool hall. We weren't able to go to a billiard hall because they were filled to capacity so we ended up coming to shoot pool at Revolutions. It wasn't a bad venue especially considering bowling is more of their primary focus but they had a limited number of tables and there was no bridge stick available. We checked out the bowling lanes and there was a DJ there and the lights were dimmed and was a great fun looking atmosphere. We are planning on going back to go bowling soon. read more

If I could rate this place less than 1 star I would. This was the worst bowling center I have ever been to. As league and tournament bowler and having been lanes up and down the entire east coast, I would not recommend this center to anyone, for fun or to get some much desired practice. The sitting area had not been cleaned for what looked like several days.. There was crumbs and dust on the floor and table. There was dried soda stains on the console and floor around it and the approaches had not been mopped. The lanes had not been dressed and from the night before (if not longer). I paid for (2) hours to get some good practice in and the attendant put a birthday party right beside me, when the entire house was empty. The people from the party constantly walked across my lanes and kept crossing into my lanes even when I was on my approach and ball delivery. The lane attendant, never said anything to them even when he noticed it. Needless to say, I left long before my (2) hours was completed. I think it actually bowled four games total. I went to the desk to inform the staff but no one was there and I was too frustrated to wait. If you're a serious bowler and looking for a place to practice, this is not the center to go to. I hope this is not a sign of all the centers in the Hartford. read more

I just got back from a fun-filled night here with a group of 7 other friends. I had been there two times before and had fun, but this was probably the best time I've ever been here so far, especially considering there were some neat renovations and changes I liked. The bowling alley is not your typical bowling alley, it has comfy couches to lounge on, I like this setup better than in other bowling alleys I've been (Bradley Bowl, Spare Time) where you have to keep going from the bowling lanes to the tables and chairs in order to eat and drink, but here, it makes it more convenient and easier to be able to enjoy your food, drinks and the games. Speaking of food... The food was delicious, I ordered a burger and waffle fries, and not only were the drinks now free instead of having to cost money (with no free refills) in the past, but our waitress offered to replace whatever regular fries that would have come with the burger with the waffle fries so I wouldn't have to pay for the fries separately, she definitely was a highlight of the experience. We bowled three games, costing in total $18.50, decent price for it, and during the third game, round about 6 PM, the lights went out and they put on disco lights, lit up the lanes and pins so they changed with rainbow colors, that was an awesome effect. Other two great things include a digital music machine that can let you choose whatever song you want, with only $1 a pop, can't beat that, and an arcade that's been around for six months. The only reason I'm giving it a four star instead of five is because the arcade, while cool, isn't as spacious as the ones at Nomads nor Dave and Buster's, and it mostly consists of the same games you could play at those two other arcades (minus the other events Nomads has). This is a great place for the family, but not after dark! After dark this is singlespalooza or network-o-rama!! This is a great place to mingle with your friends and also meet and network with others and let your hair down with some great drinks! I went to a work event here and really had the greatest time! The pizza is not so good, so you may want to eat before or bring in your own food (there is some good food up the road if you like sushi!!- Mei Tzu). What a cool bowling/lounge scene! I went late on a Friday night for a friend's birthday and it was a blast. There were party lights, good music, fully equipped with a DJ! He took requests and was happy to oblige to keep the mood going. The food was fast and great. The only downside is that the bar was outside the building within a patio area, far from where the bowling lanes were. This place has horrible service, they told us the kitchen was closed at 9:24p when on paper and online it says 10p. Online they claim to be open until 11p but they stopped our game half way at 10:30p then tried to charge us for the half game. Explained to the front desk and they couldn't care less and caught an attitude and called the manager where the manager had to explain to her that we don't get charged for an incomplete game. I had high expectations going into our evening at Revolutions. The inside of the venue looked very nice and I had hear a lot about the place so I was excited one of my friend's was having a party there. These expectations failed quickly. Our reservation was for an 8-10 slot, in which we arrived an hour early to have a beverage while waiting for our lane. We walked over to our lane at 7:55 and waited, and waited some more until asking the front desk about how they enforce the reservations. We were told that someone would be going over to the group and tell them to leave. We then waited, again, for some time until finally getting on our lane at 8:30 (half hour late). At 10PM our lane shut off, a half hour short of our two hour reservation given the time we were finally able to start bowling. The manager came over after we complained and told us we would get an extra half hour. The lane didn't light up again nor did the screens come on for at least 10 minutes. The "bouncer", for lack of a better term, came over to us a few minutes later and told us we had to leave. We explained to him that the manager was allowing us more time given we started late, but he didn't care and told us that our games were done (The funny thing was that he actually was the one who ushered us to our lane after the original delay...guess his memory faltered). This review is based solely on the customer service and experience of the usage of the bowling portion of the business, which I believe is the most important part. We had pizza and the garlic bread from the menu to snack on, which weren't terrible but nothing special (similiar to a store-brand frozen pizza). To put it short, there was nothing redeemable about the experience to ever consider going back, let alone recommending it to another to check out. read more

I HIGHLY recommend this place on Friday and Saturday nights after 9pm they got a live DJ and it's the only bowling place I know that has more of a lounge feel. The billiards room was under renovation when I went last night. A little tip, they have a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert but it's not on the menu when you get there for some reason. It's their only dessert but I love chocolate, so I didn't need any other option! Another little tip, don't get too hung up on the little things here and there logistically m...they got some work to do as far as process efficiencies with managing the bowling/restaurant/bar cashing out process. Why aren't more people yelping about this place?! After hearing all of the buzz I decided to try this place out for myself to celebrate my 27th birthday. I Reserved 3 lanes (I wasn't expecting a bunch of people to come but turns out over 20 people showed up making me wish I reserved 4) Let's start from the beginning. $50 to reserve the lanes (not $50 each) and once I got there they allowed me to use the $50 to pay for myself and one other person to bowl ($20 for 2 hours of unlimited bowling and shoe rental) then put the $10 extra towards food and drinks (nice little surprise!) Food was EXCELLENT!!! I ordered Revolutions Wings and BBQ Fries! The fries had BBQ seasoning on it not sauce but they were so good!!!! And the price of the food was not expensive at all. I got about 8 wings in total and a nice size plate of yummy BBQ fries. Decor made me feel like I was in NYC. Huge TV's to cover the back wall at the end of the bowling lanes plus club VIP couches for the bowlers to sit. Also who ever came up with the idea to have shelves under the tables for people to put their shoes is a genius! Now if only there were some place to hang our coats........Then behind the actual lanes are little lounge areas for people waiting to bowl to sit and the bar is in a separate area with seating and lots of TV's there as well. Music was house music which always puts me in a good mood! We went after 10 pm but before 10pm it was more like Pop and R&B music. If you are going with a party of more than 10 people I would suggest going to get your shoes at least 30 minutes before your reservation. When we first came the counter was completely empty but by the time I went to get shoe rentals it was congested and a bit confusing. Also, if you are going with a large party make sure everyone that is bowling is there on time and set up who will be in which lane to make things quicker once your reservation starts. I had a great time and so did everyone that came with me. The place was crowded but it didn't feel like people were breathing down my neck. I will absolutely be back! Some suggestions for the owner: (if they read these reviews) There should be a 15-30 minute break in between reservations that way parties won't have to stop 20 minutes before their 2 hours are over to make room for the next group. Also, that will give the waitstaff a chance to clean up the tables. When people first come in they should be told which lanes they have reserved (I had no idea which lane my party and I were supposed to go to) It would be helpful if the amount of time each party had left would flash across the screen during the game. I was having way too much fun to keep an eye on the time. Or perhaps you can put the person who reserved the lanes name on the screens where they will be playing. For a bowling alley, it's good. There's nothing lacking here. It's dark, there's cute videos for strokes and gutter balls and of course a plethora of used shoes to wear. The food, however, is terrible. Not that you go to a bowling alley for fine dining but I think there is a perception this is a new design of bowling alley with bowling, cocktails and apps delivered to your "table." Went to Revolutions yesterday and was very unhappy with the experience. There was a ball stuck in the machine. When I had asked them to check it out they never did. Bowled an entire game that way. Charged $7 for a micro cup of Juice bomb. The bartender then proceeded to charge me $16 for two, apparently adding her own tip?...The manager kid tried to tell me it was a small pour because it was a double IPA. Straight up lied. I had a birthday celebration here, and it was phenomenal. I hit a few kinks during the planning phase however, the manager Denise went above and beyond to meet my needs. What started with an initial count of 50 people for the evening turned into 75. They did not miss a beat. The staff were so accommodating and none of my guests were aware. All my guests raved about the great time they had. I would definitely say, if you're looking for a party venue, a date night or just a place to have a good time...this is it.
