Homefries, Breakfast Burger, Ham Egg & Cheese Pannini! All Excellent!!!
    John C.

WoW! Excellent flavors! Generous portions! Fair prices! Really good stuff! I had the breakfast burger and my wife had ham, egg n cheese on a painting- big with lots if melted cheese. We shared a huge side of amazing home fries! This place is set up more like a fast food style, order at the counter n take it to your table kinda thing. Heads-up there's No bathroom. Nevertheless, the food is definitely worth it!

Good, cheap dogs but not pretty. Wandering around the state, saw a hot dog spot right off the highway. Decided to detour and give this place a try. The outside is nothing to look at. It's very much a hot dog bodega. It's a place to get a quick meal. So quick you don't focus on anything else around. We got to the counter and called over a worker. Got a couple dogs and some fries. Food came out quick and we dug in. I really am not a fan of all beef hot dogs. They are too small for the buns and too salty. They did grill the bun well though. So that's good. Fries were basic, dogs were cheap but too small for the buns. They did have a very spicy chili though. Very often chili doesn't have spice. This time it did, and it was greatly appreciated. Overall, for a quick stop it was good enough. Not a place to track down, but good enough

View from the street. Honestly, the first time I noticed it, I thought it was a biker bar or similar.

Ok... This is my kind of joint! I'm not sure if it qualifies as a "dive," but it sure looks like one from the street! There are only a couple of seats inside but plenty of outdoor seating. I ate at one of the picnic tables and everyone else seemed to be carrying out. It was early Sunday afternoon and they were doing a good business. I got a delicious double burger (2 quarter pound patties), an order of curly fries, and a fountain beverage. There was also a cooler with bottled and canned options. My food came to $14.86, plus optional tip in the jar. Interestingly, this location started as the home of State Line Potato Chips in 1919. The Junkyard Dog! And curly fries of course!

I've been eating here since a co-worker dragged me in over 25 years ago. It is a quintessential dive. It's a dive's dive. It's far from spotless. It's the genuine article. It is exactly what it is. The guys behind the counter are basically the same crew I've always known to be there. The food is awesome. Prepared right in front of you. Once again I dove into the depths of The Junkyard Dog, curly fries and a root beer. Mmmmmm so good! The place satisfies my hunger and my desire to connect with something completely unchanged by the world around it.

    Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich
    Ian L.

Stopped by for a cheap and easy breakfast after the gym. Quick fact about me, I am supposed to keep eggs, cheese and bread out of my diet as much as possible as instructed by my dermatologist. Well I came here and had a sandwich that had all three. In other words, I have not had a simple Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich in a very long time. Considering the price and how quick it came out, I had no regrets. After taking a bite, as simple as the ingredients are, this was one of the best Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwiches I've ever had. Usually with simple meals with basic ingredients, it is very easy to pick out any imperfections. For this sandwich in particular, look out for soggy bread or bacon, overcooked or undercooked eggs and excess grease. Found none of that with this one. Bread was toasted nicely and dry in a good way, eggs were cooked nicely and had good form, bacon was crispy but not burnt, excellent. Guys up front were nice, not much seating so I reccomend you take your stuff to-go. This is an excellent spot if you need a quick breakfast that you won't be disappointed with. The atmosphere and area is not ideal for people who use Yelp but what's the problem with that when you come in, grab you food, pay and get out within 5-10 minutes? No problem at all. Solid spot for those looking for a quick and quality breakfast without hurting your wallet, I honestly felt like I didn't even touch my wallet it was that cheap.

    Steak wrap
    Tiffany G.

So I've only been here twice but judging by the business they do and the food I've had this is a solid spot to swing by for lunch! I've had a steak wrap, buffalo wings and barbecue wings and I've enjoyed them all! If you call in advance the food typically takes 10 minutes. The food is fast, good and reasonably priced! There are a couple of picnic tables outside if the weather is nice enough to enjoy lunch outdoors. The parking lot is a decent size and the line moves fairly quickly. They accept credit cards which is always a plus!

    Lunch

Awesome for what it is- great place for foot long dogs, tons of different toppings (hot or mild chili) and 2 dog, rings and drink were only $12!

Mon to Sat they open at 5am. I was only 10 minutes away from 6 but I figured they look like a place I'd want to eat at anyway and fate brought me to this awesome establishment. Upon entering it's not too bright and not too dark especially for this hour. The place looks immaculately clean. It's your typical diner feel just a little more modernish with the color scheme inside. Two breakfast bars and the rest booths and tables. Round stools at the bar for seating. The waitress greeted me and I just sat at the breakfast bar. I got a a coffee to start, nice med - dark roast. Not burnt and tasted freshly made, good quality Java to wake you up. Better than Dunkin could offer lol. For my breakfast I decided on the Crazy Good Hash and a side of sausage (they offer links or patties, I love my patties so that's what I chose). First bite was just amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect .. I low key was just thinking it would be the stuff from a can like other diners use but no.. you will not get that here. It was legit fresh corned beef... griddled with hashed potatoes .. it was light and flavorful, crispy crust and soft interior. Not drowning in sodium like the can stuff. The corned beef really just melted in your mouth, so juicy and tender just like a properly cooked corned beef should taste. It was just amazing and I was completely blown away. Paired together with high quality eggs and perfectly toasted with butter toast, there was not one bite left. I couldn't stop eating it. I was almost sad with my last bite .. but I was about to explode anyway since it was a very generous portion. I'm just a glutton when it comes to good savory foods. The sausage patties were great too .. nice crispy and juicy, good flavor profile, not herby like some .. I don't like those but these were great. Please come give this place a try and go for the Crazy Good Hash and Eggs. You won't regret it.

It was full seats so I sat at the single stools. I walked into Windsor Farms @ 9:42 at 9:50 am I had a sweet waiteess who seemed to be the only one waitressing. The owner didnt show up until 10:10am at this point still no food in front of me. This was the kicker i was giving my check for food I hadn't recieve. The waitress handling my breakfast stated to me, would I like to wait another 10 or more minutes or cancel. I stated to my waitress that I wanted to speak with the manager. He refused to walk over to me. My breakfast plate made it out to me. The fried whiting was on a seperate plate by itself. I realize quick that the fish wasn't fresh, previous frozen, just disgusting. When my waitress comes and give me my bill $16.45. I stated to her that the manager never came over , she stated that he doesnt give back refunds. I informed her to let her manager know that I've been sitting here observing everything and his attitude , refusing to come over to me was unprofessional and extremely rude. More and more ppl were coming in and they were being told it's really busy are they ok with waiting. I informed a mother of 5 kids that I arrived here at 9:41 and didn't get my food until 10:55am. She asked her kids if they wanted to Dunkin Donuts, they all agree and they left out. Another lady and two men walked in and was like damn. I said if you want to enjoy a good breakfast, it wont be this place. Thry left as well. My waitress informed me that her boss was going off on her when all he needed to do was be professional and show everyone he has some customer service skills. I will admit I love the way the owner scrambles my egg soft w/cheese and their grits is banging. When your in the Windsor area don't be starving because it gets really crowded fast. There hours are Mon thru Sunday 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. The decor is all 50's from the chairs, walls, food, etc. Here's their story: "September 11th 2001 changed my life forever. After 19 years as a flight attendant, I decided it was time for a change. Thanks to my dearest mentor and friend, my dreams have come true. Actually, this all dates back to the year of 1952. My friend had a wish, too! Naif Makol, Jr. loved to eat his burgers when he was only knee high to a grasshopper, at which time, he asked his daddy if he would buy him a hamburger store. "Bah" astonishingly honored his son's request, and the family was in Burger Business. We dedicate the vision behind our concept to an exceptional man, Naif George Makol, Sr., without whose foresight and extraordinary business sense this could have not been possible. Our country was a great place to live in back in the 1950's American families enjoyed simple pleasures like drive-in movies, cruise nights, and car hops. Much has changed today except the memories of a time gone by. Naif Jr. has never let those joyous memories fade so in saying that here we are today. Naif and I wanted to create a place representative of a time when families gathered together listening to Dion or little Richard on the radio or cruising into their favorite soda shop for burgers or dogs. Skooter's took on a life of its own once we collaborated about the open kitchen concept and sit-down counter service. We've created a warm, family atmosphere which we hope you will enjoy. Our goal as proprietors is to provide you quick in-and-out service in an upbeat, happy environment at an affordable price. We want to be your home away from home. With Jonathan Karas as a key part of our family and the central force of our operations, I'm sure you will enjoy what he has to bring to the table (pun intended). We hope you delight in the simplicity and of course the great tasting yummy food." For my drink, I'm having a black coffee. It's my first caffeinated drink in a long time (no decaf available). I'd have a milkshake, but they're extremely heavy. Ah! REAL coffee! For my soup, it's Sausage, Pepper and Onion. Rice too I see. It's very good! An unusual soup, I'm also trying the chili. This is good! I got the last of it! Peppers is an odd ingredient. I can't leave here without trying a hot dog (Frankfurter) with sauerkraut. This is good! I liked the buttered bun. No shortage of sauerkraut. For my entree, I'm having a Grilled Lemon Chicken sandwich. This is really good! Notice the square lettuce leaves. For dessert, I'm having a slice of blueberry pie. This is a HUGE piece of pie! It's nice and chilled. I haven't had this in decades! It's delicious! What a great meal here! Those onion rings are freshly battered and are huge! One of them was 4 inches across! Oh yeah! This is great!

The still tastes good, with some exceptions. The frier oil seemed burnt, so the pickle chips we had just had that little bit of carbon taste on them. The pickle chips batter was very thick, and the mayo was the only respite. The sandwich, still tasty, seemed much smaller than normal, the meat still had good flavor, but the portion was lighter in comparison. The prices are also a bit high. The sandwich coming out to about 15 bucks. The bargain is very much gone now, and the portion is okay for a sandwich but pricy because of this shrinkage. Not shown are the overcooked onion rings. We returned those and the server promptly removed them from the bill. So really good customer service. I opted for a brownie for dessert, and the brownie was a disappointment. Too sugary, no flavor, gummy, and disappointingly small and thin. A detractor for sure. As a deli, it feels like it's on the decline. I know things are pricier now, but what you pay vs what you get doesn't match up. I'm hoping they pivot from this path, but right now it's no longer my go-to. It's still tasty, just pricy
