One of the best breakfast sandwiches! Get the special for a treat. Anyone that adds a hash brown within the sandwich is genius.

They make a fantastic Philly and the "Sausage Special" breakfast sandwich is something that I would love to eat every day.

Service was acceptable, but lacking in level of personality or engagement. For me, these characteristics are memorable and would help inspire me to come back. The food was as described on the menu, but equally lacking in pizazz. My Mexican Bowl was lukewarm and my friends' burgers were both well-done, despite only one of them asking for it being this way, and the fries were overcooked. I like crispy, but not to the over-the-top degree to which they were done. Bottom line: Eat here if you are hungry and your needs will be met, but this place could use a lift in sparkle and quality.

It's okay but pricy…read more I've been to this location a few more times since my last review. The last couple of times the place was very busy and getting seating was not possible. During my last visit it was relatively quiet, so I took a seat and went through the menu. My server was very friendly and professional. I took her recommendations and got the churro crepes and peppermint latte. Latte came out quick, same with the crepe. The latte was very sweet, lots of sugar and mint. Coffee flavor was obliterated, and was a bit much for me. Informed my server, offered a drip coffee as a replacement but I opted against. The crepe was going to be a lot of sugar too, so just sent it back. She communicated with her team to watch the syrup pours for future drinks, which is a good proactive move. The churro crepes. Conceptually is a good idea. The cheesecake filling was tasty and a reprieve from the avalanche of caramel syrup and sugar. The churros were warmed up but the server was very honest that they were not made on the spot. Outside of the churro was crunchy and inside was stuffed. The crepe was not warm, so I don't think it was made fresh to order either. When I asked the server, she insisted it was made to order. The price was 21 for the latte and crepe. The price of the crepe was high for the quantity and quality. The latte was reasonable for price, but might want to ask to go light on the syrup. Given the location, it's one of the few breakfast spots around that area. It's not bad, but they do price accordingly for the lack of competition. It's not a trek place, but it's one of the few options around without driving 15 minutes. If you need breakfast in that area, then it works.

So decided to give another go to some places that need another try. The space inside is decorated well, it's very homey and plenty of tables. The server was very nice and had recommendations when asked. I opted for the raspberry beignets and the bananas foster French toast. Food came out quickly, and I took my pics and dug in. The raspberry beignets were pretty much donut holes covered in raspberry and vanilla sauce. The raspberry filling was there, but wasn't very pronounced. For 3 bucks a beignets, it's very expensive. But it was sweet enough and fried fresh. The observant will note that the French toast looks a lot like pancakes. They specify on the menu that you can choose either, but either I was never asked which I wanted or I failed to advocate for my preference. I decided to roll with it, since it could be a mistake from either end. Pancake batter was overworked, bananas were slightly warmed up but done so on the griddle. Picked up the onion funk from their home fries, leading to a rather unpleasant bite. Quality issues can be overlooked if the price is reasonable. For 28 dollars for two dishes, the price is way too high for what I got. As a local breakfast spot, there's not many around that area. If you need breakfast and are unwilling to drive another 5-10 minutes for other options, the food is okay and portions are reasonable. It's pricy, stick to the savory, and don't expect more than the basics.

Service was a bit slow, took a while to get water and get my order in. Didn't have big expectations, so I opted for bananas on French toast with brown sugar on the side. With real maple syrup and a dish of vanilla ice cream. The idea was a type of bananas foster style French toast. Something I didn't expect to get to my expectation of a dish on a whim, but enough of the raw components to make a version of it. It also took a while to come out, but eventually got to eating. The French toast was cooked well. Seasoned and soaked to make a nice custardy bite. Maple syrup was real but not a great brand. But they didn't charge by the Dixie cup full so that was nice of them. Ice cream was of a good quality, and the banana was nice and ripe. The only major detractor was the French toast was cold. It was cooked and died on the pass, which messed up the hot-n-cold play between the French toast and the ice cream. Still tasty, but would've been better warm. The price was okay, with all the add ons the French toast came out to 13 bucks. It's clear that the kitchen knows how to cook, but there were issues with execution this time around. Not bad, but still some tweaks needed.

I ordered two poached eggs, bacon, and home fries. The bacon was fine, a little chewy but some people like that. The home fries, again, fine. But, the eggs we cold and disgusting. Poached eggs, by their very nature, are cooked uniformly. Unlike fried eggs, they are submerged in water and cooked all the way around. These eggs came back with uncooked whites that resembled mucus. I'm sure the eggs were sitting there, waiting on the other orders to be fulfilled. Not wanting to be a hassle, I plowed through, scooping the cold uncooked whites to the side and discovered a piece of not so small egg shell in it. I told the waitress there was an egg shell in the eggs, they were a bit undercooked and cold. Instead of receiving an apology or accommodations, she said she'll share the info with the owner. I was then given an excuse as to why there was an egg shell in the eggs "we use farm fresh eggs and they're very fragile". I use farm fresh eggs at home, they are fragile. It doesn't take more than a moment to remove the shell before cooking and serving it to a customer. She didn't remove the meal from the ticket or discount it and she never apologized. Like I said, just an excuse. All that being said, the place is beautiful, indoors and outside. My wife's pancake was delicious. I'm sure many things on the menu are delicious. They also seemed short staffed. And I won't wright a place off because of one meal and one server. Could be an off day for the chef/cook. The server isn't a always an indicator of the restaurant's values. I do wish she was more accommodating - especially at those prices - but it could've been a perfect storm of being short staffed, rushed cook, and a server that doesn't care.
