We've gone to Center Perk several times for breakfast. It's a small cute space with about maybe 10 tables total. We've never waited long to sit, and the food comes out pretty quickly. The waitress have all been very nice to us and our orders have always been accurate. Today we had eggs Benedict with spinach, and egg and cheese on an English muffin, the special strawberries and cream oatmeal and the special cannoli French toast. The servings aren't overwhelming huge which I like and the prices are decent. My eggs Benedict was great. The eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise tasted good. The English muffin was delicious as well. The oatmeal (although scorching hot so be careful lol) was really good. I love a good oatmeal, this was kinda like a dessert. I would go back just for the oatmeal some that's how much I liked it. It's just good, simple and priced right. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend! read more

Aside from Shady Glen, this is our other favorite place. Be ready to wait during busy breakfast hours but know that it's well worth it. I usually stick with a simple sausage, eggs, and toast breakfast so can't speak to their fancy French toast but I've seen the plates and they look divine. read more

Cute establishment on Main St in downtown Manchester. Decor inside is cute with different mugs and cute telephone salt/pepper shakers. Restaurant is pretty tight with counter seating, booths and tables. Street parking is available. I went on a Friday morning and there was a 15-20 minute wait. Food is mediocre at best. Homefries were very dry. Sausage was burnt. Corned beef hash was okay; I loved that it was crispy but it was bland. Server was very rushed. Had to ask for Splenda multiple times. Thought I'd review one of my 'go to' breakfast places again. It's a wonderful local breakfast & lunch place - now open 7 days a week. The food is really good. I had the Irish Benedict & my husband had an omelette. Note- breakfast potatoes are an upcharge. Service is wonderful- always someone to refill coffee or get a glass of water. The restaurant is cute - lots of manchester history/photos/etc. Today was crowded & people were waiting, however we noticed a couple of tables where patrons had finished their meal & continued to sit & chat regardless of others waiting. Perhaps in situations like that, management could post signs asking customers to be courteous of others waiting? 1 more comment - lots of cold air enters the restaurant when the door opens. I know it's a small place, so I don't have a solution that would help keep tables close to the entry warmer. I know I'll be back (often), just won't sit at a table near the door on a cold day. read more

Service - this is my 2nd time coming here and I'm glad i gave this place another chance. The first time i could tell the waiter was overwhelmed and wasn't fully present. But my 2nd time was wonderful, our waitress was patient, kind, & kept checking in on us. Even though they were closing in 30 min she made sure we felt comfortable. Ambiance - small space, outdoor seating available in warmer weather. The inside seems to be decorated with specific items from the family owned business. I wasn't too sure what was the meaning behind it all, it seemed like a bunch of antique items. Food - the food was good, for the price they had options from $-$$. It was a nice place to have a quick bite. I enjoyed their seasoning on the garden eggs Benedict & home fries. Drinks - we had chocolate milk and orange juice. Reopened not too long ago, Still great. This place is one of my favorite breakfast spots. The attention to detail when it comes to their food has always been spot on and very tasty. When they closed, it was some not great news. But now they are back open, and they haven't lost a beat! They have a few more people on staff, and service was quick. The decor has not change since the last time i've been here, but that's fine since this location pretty much feels like a nan's kitchen. Little old, little new, but very tasty eats. If you have yet to give this place a try, I still recommend it as one of the strongest breakfast spots on main street manchester. It's really good food. read more

A small but cozy gem on Main Street in Manchester that is filled with character and charm. There was a small wait to be seated because of how popular this place is on the weekends. Lining the walls were images about its history and origin and different paints and art from back in the day. The staff was very friendly and courteous and did their best to ensure you enjoy your meal. As usual, it's always hard deciding what to get but 2 sandwiches stood out and my husband and I decided to give it a try the Holy Cow and the Big Texas breakfast sandwiches. These sandwiches are so good and huge. After a few bites, I was already filled and felt like I couldn't move. My bacon was a bit too crispy but it blended in which the eggs and the cheese perfectly. The pictures do no justice for these sandwiches and the menu was affordable. The only advice is not to go if you are really hungry as they may have a wait time since the area is so small, but overall a great experience. read more

We went here for breakfast the other day and were pleasantly surprised by how great our breakfast was! It was a Thursday morning around 830... at first only a few tables filled and seemed like mostly a regular crowd. The waitress (Shelly I think her name was) knew all their orders. Some times you don't get great service when it's a very regular crowd but this was not the case. Within 10 minutes of us sitting every table was filled and there was a wait list. It is a small place but there are about 8 or 9 four tables, a 6-8 person bar plus take out. Shelley was doing IT ALL! With a smile on her face too. She was running her own food and bussing her own tables too! She was WORKING. I hope management appreciates her hustle ... because that is hard to find! Food: we tried a lot. All was so delicious. We had the biscuits and gravy, a side of house made corn beef hash, a breakfast sandwich (can't remember name) that was on Texas toast with onion jam, onions, cheese, bacon, ham and egg - so good, and a small size of the blueberry buckle oatmeal. Also you HAVE to have the sweet potato homefries ... so freaking good! The food was truly awesome and we can't wait to go back. Didn't try the coffee. Got a Veggie Tale Omelet (egg whites, spinach, mushrooms, peppers ' onions) with no cheese and multigrain toast so I could get their home fries, which are crispy fried diced potatoes and very tasty. I'm embarrassed that I have not written a Yelp review of this location. The town of Manchester has several great breakfast/lunch restaurants. What makes this place stand out is the weekend specials menu. Every weekend the specials menu has 4 items that are quite unique. I have been eating here for several years now and the specials menu has not had a repeat item. It is a rare weekend when I do not find something on the specials menu that doesn't appeal to me. If you don't find something on the weekend specials menu or it is a week day, try one of the Benedicts or oatmeals or (something rare in the north) grits. I particularly like the Caribbean oatmeal or the farmers grits. You won't go wrong with anything on the menu. I could also go on about the great staff and service here. I was in the area and decided to try Center Perk for breakfast. I called in my order and arrived shortly thereafter to pick it up. When I arrived (approx. 8:30 AM), just about every table was occupied. Good sign. The two young ladies in the front were very poilte. I paid, received my order, and headed to work. It took about 15 min. to get to work. I ordered the Traditional Breakfast with 1 egg (scrambled) and bacon. The scrambled egg was cold and the potatoes looked overcooked and were barely lukewarm. There were 3 nice-sized strips of bacon and 2 slices of wheat toast. I should have taken a picture, but forgot. I warmed up the food a bit and ate it. I would be willing to try Center Park again. But if the food experience is the same, it'll be a wrap for me. read more

Neat and cozy little diner hidden away. I would recommend calling ahead to set up a reservation if possible. As the place is a little small and has limited seating inside, usually a waitlist. Food was good for the price point. Service was a little slower due to a full house. However, the staff made up for it with their hospitality and friendliness. I drive by this breakfast place very often and I always wanted to try it. I finally did!! I do enjoy the homey atmosphere it has and it's very cozy. We went at the right time before it got busier. We were seated right away. The menu had a very nice selections of sandwiches and pancakes and omelettes. They even offer vegan meats as a side or in your omelette. I ordered an egg white omelette with mix vegetables and the morning star sausage. The food was decent but I wasn't over the moon on the quality but still a good breakfast. The only thing that didn't make the experience was the waitress. She was so busy that I constantly had to look for her, call for her. We had the Irish Benedict and the Farmer's grits. Both hit the spot. The only negative was the coffee. It was just dark, hot water. Absolutely no flavor. The only disappointing part. There are lots of comments regarding the service. A few of which are concerning. We were in and out pretty quickly so our interactions with the waitstaff were brief and limited. We love their homemade hot cocoa talked with their homemade whipped cream. We've had the cheesy grits with poached egg and avocado which is delicious. The Challah French toast with cranberry, overnight French toast with apples and veggie eggs Benedict all delicious! Sweet potato hashbrowns are to die for. I have no idea what they season them with but it is perfectly seasoned, crisp on the outside pillowy on the inside chunks of sweet potato. Absolutely love the food here. I've come here on multiple occasions and each time I never had anything to complain about the food. They know what they're doing! And the happiest surprise was how good the oatmeal is here. Normally I hate oatmeal because it usually ends up tasting like cardboard. I've attempted to come to this location prior to the pandemic and after... the service has been the same.. CRAP! They are soooooo slow. I literally sat down and waited 20 min before asking for a menu from a waitress whom passed by 10x and never offered one. Then attempted to place an order and the wait time was longer than 45 min in getting, no communication as to its coming out, no check in NOTHING! I simply walked out in frustration and hungry! Fast forward to today, call in to place an order and the girl on the phone just places you on hold 25min wait.. never came back on! This was my first time visiting Center Perk but I absolutely loved it. The pancakes were bigger than my head. The short stack and side of bacon were absolutely perfect. We finally gave this cafe a try on Friday It was busy but we only waited ten minutes or so for a table. The cafe is cute but small. The menu had a lot of variety. I finally settled on the hash Beni after overhearing they make their hash from scratch. I requested scrambled instead of poached eggs which was no problem. It was super yummy and the sauce was light and not overwhelming with the hash. My hubby had the biscuits & gravy which were also a hit. We definitely will be back to try more items. Center Perk is a simple, casual, and comfortable cafe. It gets pretty busy on the weekends. My friend and I had to wait about 10 minutes for table. There's not a lot of seating because the place is pretty small. There's not even much of a waiting area. We awkwardly waited around inside trying to stay out of the way of the servers until a table was available. The menu offerings were pretty typical for a diner. I ordered these yummy sliders. They had avocado, egg, and bacon on them. My friend ordered an omelet, which he enjoyed. Overall, the place was pretty enjoyable. A cute little stop for breakfast. Good place for breakfast or brunch. It was crowded on sunday. You won't be able to reserve a table and its first come first served basis. Luckily we didn't have to wait longer. Their menu comprises of variety of omelettes, sandwiches, burgers, french toast and pan cakes. Since we didn't plan to have meat, we figured they do have good veg options too. Garden benedict - was well made with poached eggs on slices of tomatoes. At 1$ extra, you can replace your home fries with sweet potato fries. Speedy Gonzalez - Veggie omelette with fried beans inside it. Served with tomato salsa, avocado and home fries. It was average dish with nothing special about it. Caribbean delight - texas toast dipped in coconut milk, with banana slices as toppings. It was interesting option with traditional syrup. Overall, food was good. This place has a traditional look from the inside, with many interesting pictures about the history of Manchester. Service was very slow and attentiveness of waiter was questionable. Even coffee was delayed and food was served super late. It is understandable that they were busy and the delays are expected. But it has to be acknowledged by the staff. We were not informed about the delay and were kept waiting with no status. If they could be more interactive with their customers, it would help.
