Love this place. Great food. Only downfall is they are always busy and jammed packed on weekends but thats great for them and tells you alot about this place. Highly recommend

Service with a smile and my breakfast was lightning quick and delicious. What a fantastic way to start my day's hike. Will always come back here for the experience.

It was so busy! But the food was good. Personally I didn't like my waffle and felt it was too dense but other people in my party loved their meals. They all looked delicious. Service was fast despite our large group and how busy the morning was of course. The ambiance and vibe was quaint and homelike, I liked it a lot.

Half order of biscuits and gravy, their famous thick cut bacon, which is cut in house, and their western breakfast sandwich.

My family and I moved to the area from a place with amazing food and have been trying to find a good to diner. This is it. Food was out fast, correct, and not to mention everything was delicious! We will be back (a lot)

Great little greasy spoon! Delicious breakfast burrito and it didn't feel heavy either like you'll be would be in a food coma afterwards. Kudos! When you walk in you see wall to wall police and fire fighter patches honoring the locals who served. This little diner is a staple for gathering for the community.

Used to love this place, not anymore. Years back, went every weekend. Went in this morning got the Yukon Cornelius (2 eggs, potatoes, thick slab bacon, toast). Got my daughter a chocolate chip pancake and a flimsy side of bacon and a chocolate milk. $25 before tip Pretty steep. $4 for one pancake, $1 to add chocolate chips. Bacon was barely cooked. She didn't touch either item. Asked for my home fries deep fried... they surely were not. Have always ordered them there that way. The thick slab bacon was SO gross. There was like skin or fat or something nasty on half of the pieces I couldn't even eat it - I used to order it all the time there. Only thing that was good was the Italian toast which honestly you can't mess up. Many better options around, wouldn't waste my time. Food came out in like 3-4 minutes flat - fast is awesome, but that's too fast to me, something is off about that. It wasn't busy but I feel like they wanted us out of there urgently. Really weird.

I love Country Diner- I used to come every weekend with my group of friends. I love the weekly specials that they put out that have all kinds of fun and different twists on breakfast meals, so you don't run the risk of seeing the same menu every single week. 99% of the time, their food is so I am not rating them on my most recent experience. This specific special was... not good. The triple berry French toast was super sour and the strawberries were mushy- the French toast was soooo soggy it was hard to eat- I ended up picking off my boyfriends plate. Will be avoiding in the future.

The place was packed when I got there, lots of locals all enjoying their company and their dishes. Got a seat at the counter right away, grabbed a menu and checked through their offerings. Decided on French toast with real maple syrup and biscuits and gravy. Food came out quick especially with the crowd. Everything was cooked, the French toast was okay. Not soaked enough, toasted with butter but not a lot of cinnamon in the dredge. Not great, but very functional. The biscuits and gravy were very much a northern take on the southern classic. Grands biscuits grilled on the flat top with grey goopy gravy on top. Very lackluster. The staff was very friendly, and the price was very cheap. Even with the golden delicious branded syrup upcharge the bill was only 12 dollars. Which is very affordable given the quality was not so great. As a generic diner, it does basic dishes well enough. There's not a ton of breakfast spots around, so it does well as that local greasy spoon. Doesn't need to be fancy, cause it's one of the few places in town and they are serviceable. I wouldn't drop by on my travels, but if you need cheap eats then this place will fit the bill

Perhaps their other food is better than what I ordered, which was a combination grinder, but I have to say compared to others that I've had in the area, this seemed more like a 7-Eleven convenience store hoagie with its limited amounts of meat and cheese. The other thing that I'll mention )just because it seems to be a theme at every restaurant that I've been to around 8 PM in this town), everybody seems to be far more concerned about walking out the door two minutes before they're supposed to close is the impression they leave on guests now walk in 20 or 30 minutes before closing time. This will be the third time I've been to some quick family dining establishment in the area that I've had this experience-- I'm gonna offer management the same advice that I've offered to other establishments nearby: If there is a time of day that you want to leave work, you should close your business in whatever time it takes for you to clean in order to make that happen as opposed to risking guest walking in and being made to feel as if their inconveniencing everybody who works there for making the decision to go to your establishment to spend our money.

"And there's fire on the mountain Lightening in the air…read moreGold in them hills and it's waiting for me there" (Marshall Tucker Band) Fire On the Mountain has one of the most unique menus I've ever encountered. Seriously, where else have you ever seen breakfast quesadillas, catfish and grits, cheesecake cornbread waffles, smoked brisket hash, deep fried pork ribs, catfish, mushroom, and alligator tacos, and a Puerto Rican Rice Bowl all happily living in the same menu's neighborhood? And then, the icing on the cake was our server - a charismatic and uber-friendly gent named Bromwell who lights up the room with his personality. He made my list of the five greatest servers I interacted with this year. The restaurant's location is as unusual as its menu. You'll find it occupying the front space at the Suffield Commons Senior Living Apartments! Yup, as you walk through the restaurant and out their back door, you actually enter a common space for the housing complex. The restaurant itself has two dining rooms with booths, tables, and chairs and a bar with dining room chairs. That eclectic menu is chock full of breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices with Mexican and barbecue flairs. We were there for lunch and ordered two things. The first was an enormous Cheese Quesadilla ($9.35) with pork ($3.12) on a grilled flour tortilla served with sour cream and pico. It was a thing of beauty, cut into five thick wedges loaded with smoked pork. Our second item was a Caesar Salad (Half size for $6.23) with a side of smoked brisket ($9.36). I passed on the croutons and Caesar dressing in lieu of barbecue sauce as my dressing. I gotta tell you, the brisket was GREAT, a big serving of tender and juicy smoked beef cut into four slabs that must have totaled close to a half pound. We loved everything about Fire On the Mountain and agreed that we need to return for a proper breakfast when we are out that way or making a morning airport run. PRO TIP The restrooms are located in the housing complex's common space I described earlier/ Just exit the restaurant by the door in the rear dining room, and you're just about there.

Made the trek to this little diner to give them a try. The space is small but spacious. Lots of two seat tables and a small bench. Place is cash only, so make sure to hit up an atm before going. Servers were very attentive and friendly. Made multiple coffee refill runs. The coffee is diner coffee, functional but not great. I opted for their French toast bake special, cause I'm a sucker for a good lost bread. No ice cream, so had to do with whipped cream. Had real maple syrup at an upcharge, but could get a half sized version for cheaper. Food came out quickly, took pics and dug in. The bacon was crispy, only a couple lighter spots towards the ends. Whipped cream was from a can, functional. The actual French toast was very well done. Custardy, not very sweet but consistency was on point. Berries were good, but not very noticeable in a full bite. The syrup really helped in getting that true French toast bite of savory, sweet, and warm custardy tastiness. Needed a little more cinnamon and nutmeg in the egg soak to give it flavor throughout, and coated the fruit in sugar or lemon juice to amplify the fruit sweetness. Price wise, was pretty affordable. Everything came out to about 17 bucks which was a good price for the quality offered. As a meal, it was a rather tasty dish for the price. It knows it's a diner style place and they take the same corner cuts that diners usually take. But this makes them a very good choice for locals to get a good breakfast. So I don't trek here for their offerings, but for the area they are a great choice.
