Gluten free Fish-n-Chips

This was my second trip to Wood-n-Tap and it was just as enjoyable. I have a gluten allergy so I tried the gluten-free fish and chips. It was excellent. Light and fluffy. The french fries were very good as well. The service was excellent at lunchtime. There was a good crowd. I recommend!

Big fans of WnT but this location was a bit of a letdown. The patio is GORGEOUS with a full outdoor bar, but that's about where the dazzle ends. The food was lackluster compare to other locations. The buffalo chicken wrap is my favorite (possibly my favorite from anywhere) and it was super dry, not enough buffalo, and no ranch. One of my favorite things about this wrap is they use crumbled blue cheese and ranch dressing and it's perfection! Definitely a bummer... maybe it was an off day. Server was very sweet but everything took long to come out, and my friend added vodka to a mocktail but it didn't taste like there was any.

Great food. Cool atmosphere. Good service. I don't know why this place gets three stars. We come here a lot.

Will not be returning to this location. Unfortunately even with the beautiful patio- time and time again we are left disappointed. I waited to update this review after my 2nd bad experience but this latest one was absolutely horrendous. For one- in the middle of the week in the afternoon we were waiting to be seated out on the patio for over 25 minutes. I'm really not sure what the hold up was at all and not one staff member came up to us to let us know any updates. Once we were seated we ordered drinks. My coworker is allergic to triple sec so she ordered the skinny margarita. When it came out it looked so syrupy she was afraid to drink it thinking it had triple sec in it. She asked the waitress and she just said this is what you ordered and walked away. (Mind you it looked exactly like a regular house margarita another coworker ordered- usually skinny margs are lighter). She was still hesitant so another waitress walked by and she asked her about it and she was very nice and said she would have it remade for her. Now this is the worst part. Another coworker had to leave early so he asked for his check. His bill on the check said 19.99. He handed his credit card with the bill to our server and when the waitress came back the bill now said $358!!! And his last four digits were on the slip so it was definitely his card that went through. Where did that number even come from?! He waited for our waitress but due to how long everything took she never came around while he was freaking out. He went to the manager inside and all they did was return the $358 and STILL made him pay for his meal. This is crazy to me. This was not a measly $10 mistake this was over $300! How dare management not give him a discount or offer a gift card or something. Now he will never return and neither will our 15+ person party! On top of this- our food took over 2 hours to come out. Again this is in the middle of the day in the afternoon! Not a weekend!! It is so unfortunate because we always liked to come here for the patio, food and drinks. But seriously never again will I dine here. Absolutely disgraceful!!

Recently started going back and gave them a second chance. Love the chicken nachos! Tricia is super sweet and whenever I come in she always remembers my order! (I am now a regular) The food is always fresh and if you go there during happy hour, the nachos are half price which is amazing. The music is always great. I've had other servers who are just as kind. My new obsession is their pistachio smash cheesecake.

By day, Bumowinski is a math teacher at RHAM High School in Hebron while Gelinas is an engineer at UTC Aerospace Systems. The two home-brewed for several years before starting their own brewery. They set up shop in a space that was previously home to Broad Brook Brewing Company before they moved to a larger space in Suffield. The brewery has a mathematical theme, which is a nod to the owners' day jobs. Bukowinski and Gelinas try to keep their beers rotating consistently. They usually feature at least two hoppy offerings, a "middle of the road, easy drinker" type of brew, and at least one dark beer. My wife and I first visited Problem Solved Brewing in October 2019. I had previously visited the space when it was still home to Broad Brook Brewing, and it was nice to see that it was home to a brewery again. My wife and I both loved the mathematical theme; there were framed beer-related patent drawings and protractors mounted on the walls of the taproom. We decided to order a sampler flight to share. The five beers we picked were: "Parabolic Split" (Milkshake IPA), "Conductivity-Centennial" (New England IPA), "Second Root" (Cream Ale), "Coarse Threads-White Chocolate Raspberry" (Imperial Stout), and "Coarse Threads-Pumpkin Coconut" (Imperial Stout). We really enjoyed all of the beers! The Milkshake IPA had notes of banana, chocolate and coffee, which is not what we were expecting. The Cream Ale was made with Sumatran coffee beans, which gave it nice hints of coffee and chocolate. Problem Solved also had an adjoining game room filled with games like Giant Connect 4, Darts, Ring Toss and Pass the Pigs. My wife and I enjoyed our flight with our favorite brewery game: Giant Jenga! We had a great time at Problem Solved and would definitely stop again if we're in the area.

Chicago Sam's has an amazing beer selection to choose from and a fantastic menu. The chicken wings are always delicious. They taste like a slice of heaven. Moreover, they recently have upped their standards hiring a new chef. his homemade soups are on par with any of the areas higher price's restaurants. Powder Hollow Brewery - Interior

Powder Hollow Brewery is a craft brewery that opened in Enfield, Connecticut in November 2014. It…read morewas founded by Michael McManus. He graduated from Vermont Technical College with a degree in construction engineering and soon began working for a large commercial contracting company. Since his teenage years, McManus had dreamed of opening his own company. Home brewing had been a hobby of his since he was 19. Eventually McManus joined forces with head brewer Lance Boylan to open his own brewery. A circa-1929 building in the Hazardville section of Enfield was obtained to house the new brewery and taproom. The property was once home to the Hazard Powder Company. The company (and the neighborhood) were named for Colonel Augustus George Hazard. They were one of the largest producers of gunpowder throughout the 19th century (producing 40% of the Union Army's supply during the Civil War). The company closed down in 1913 after a major gunpowder explosion. McManus named his new brewery "Powder Hollow" as a tribute to the history of Hazardville. A secondary taproom opened in downtown Middletown in November 2019 but closed this past March due to the effects of the pandemic. Another taproom opened at the Yankee Candle Village in South Deerfield, MA in September 2020 and continues to do well. I first visited Powder Hollow in 2015 when they were still fairly new. I remember really liking the Civil War decor around the taproom. Recently the brewery invited me back to taste some of their newer brews that have debuted in the past year. There have been some changes since my last visit. In 2018, McManus' sister Michele McAuliffe and her husband Mark opened R Dee Winery right next door to the brewery. They removed the wall separating the two businesses so that now it is one larger taproom. During my visit, I was helped out by the brewery's Marketing & Events Manager Kenzie. She was very helpful and discussed the different brews that I would be sampling. Some of the offerings I sampled included their Honey Brown Ale, "Spring Ahead" Pale Ale, "Josie's Pale Ale", New England DIPA, "Lift Your Kilt" (Scottish Ale), New England Citra IPA, "Bayonet Blonde", and West Coast Style IPA. The "Spring Ahead" and the Citra IPA were my two favorites. I purchased some cans of the latter to take home. I would have liked to sample some of the wines at R Dee as well, but they were closed during my visit. Just another reason to come back. I enjoyed my visit to Powder Hollow as well as the history lesson. I look forward to returning!
