Shrimp scampi and cajun pasta
Yamu l.

The atmosphere was very nice, and the staff were all friendly. Our waiter was especially attentive, which made the service enjoyable. The food we ordered was good overall, and the drinks were delicious. The only downside was the calamari, which wasn't great--but the waiter kindly took it off the bill. While I appreciated the service and some of the dishes, I probably wouldn't come back.

I am ASHAMED of myself for living so close and taking so long to check this place out. The chefs have a lot of pride in their craft, which is evident in quality ingredients. Many components are made in house! My suggestion is to check out the specials board-- twice i have ordered dishes off the specials board and been blown away. On this occasion, I had the grilled swordfish-- absolutely perfect (when everyone at the table is jealous, you know you picked a winner). This is a total gem in town. Service is excellent, bartender makes great drinks and the space is excellent for date night. Highly recommend!

Chocolate souffle with vanilla gelato

A hidden gem... it was all amazing. Warm bread, lovely drinks, tenderloin cooked to perfection, chef was flexible with a few diet accommodations... garlic shrimp was best scampi ever... and the dessert... chocolate souffle was a gift from the gods. This place is special. PS - waitress was amazing too... people skills, knowledgeable, and knew the menu.

Metal rivet

Our Anniversary Dinner -- A Complete Disappointment What was supposed to be a special evening turned into a major disappointment. While enjoying what started as a delicious Bolognese, I suddenly bit down on a metal bolt or rivet that had somehow made its way into my meal. I immediately called our server, Matthew, over and showed him the object, saying, "We've got a problem." His only reply was, "Yes, we have a problem." After that, he did his best to avoid our table for the rest of the evening. He only acknowledged and apologized for the incident when he presented the check. Although the restaurant did comp my Bolognese, no one from management ever came by to check on me or to apologize for serving food with a metal object in it. When we asked the server if he had reported it, he said he informed the chef and gave him the object -- yet we heard nothing further. The lack of concern and accountability from management is unacceptable. Finding a bolt in your food is a serious safety issue, and the indifference shown made it even worse. Unfortunately, this experience makes it clear that food safety and customer care are not priorities here. Eat here at your own risk.

Swordfish special - A dish with grilled fish topped with microgreens, served with roasted vegetables and a creamy sauce.

Always a good meal here. Just pick anything on the menu. I'm not a huge pork fan because I don't like barbecue sauce but this is not your bbq pork chop, it's marinated overnight and cooked medium and ughh..perfection! The sword was grilled to perfection too! I've had it elsewhere and I keep coming back here for it because I've never had a better sword cut and cooked where it's so tender and juicy. The oysters were also A+

Cajun pasta - A bowl of pasta with a tomato-based sauce, topped with grated cheese, placed on a white table in a dimly lit setting.

Very nice restaurant for that special dinner. You'll find some special dishes here that you don't see everywhere. My wife enjoyed the scallops over couscous, and I had the Cajun pasta and both were excellent! Make sure you save room for dessert because the crème brûlée is special, and the maple bourbon, pear with meringue is out of this world.

Specials - A printed menu featuring a selection of cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and desserts, with descriptions and prices, including a special cocktail of the week.

First visit but been dying to try this place for years! So thrilled to say there was zero disappointment. From the outdoor seating, entertainer, delicious margarita to our 4 different appetizers everything about Tosca was perfection! Can't wait to go back for another meal.

Pepper smoked swordfish, special with risotto

Absolutely amazing every time! As someone who lives for food I can say everything on the menu is amazing 10/10! The service is fast and always friendly. I have gone back 3 times in the past month the food is that good. If you go you absolutely have to get the truffle mac and cheese and make sure to get one for just yourself cause you won't wanna share. If you're looking for a fruity cocktail I recommend the "be here now" definitely become one of my favorites to order. They do offer outside seating, the deck is lovely but inside is also very nice. Dim lighting with red walls a little small but definitely good for a date or romantic dinner. 100% would recommend checking out this spot for your next outing with friends or a partner.

She was nothing short of perfection s as nd working the entire front by herself!! Food: everything was tasty, a little more kick in spice in every dish even the vodka rigatoni had an after bite. I didn't take away a star, but I personally look forward to the after taste of the food rather than a kick. Price: about average with the amount of apps and food we got with wine too! There also appears to be extra seating at the back of the restaurant. The menu is small but has plenty of selections, both small and large bites as they call them. Our server, who was very friendly and pleasant as well as the other staff, took our drink orders and let us know what the fish was for the evening. We decided to order the sourdough bread, French onion soup, and two burgers with fries. This is a very relaxed atmosphere, a little in the dark side, and the seating was very tight between tables given the size of the restaurant but we adjusted the table and made it work. The bread arrived hot from the oven with their house butter which I couldn't quite figure out was in it. Almost seemed sweet as if it was a maple syrup base but can't say for sure. The bread was incredible and didn't last long. The French onion soup arrived in a large bowl with a number of crispy croutons and plenty of onions. The soup was very tasty with a little bit of a bit to it. The croutons were a very nice touch as they stayed crispy ti the soup was gone. The burgers arrived hot off the grill with large baskets of very crispy French fries. The burgers were large, cooked medium as requested, with nice slices of Grafton maple smoked cheese, bacon jam. Lettuce, and Dijon mustard. The burgers are very thick and the roll is soft and grilled nicely. The fries, which were right out of the flyer, stayed crispy through the whole meal. There are a couple of steps up into the restaurant so if you have mobility issues it might be a little bit of a challenge. All in all a great little restaurant with incredible food and great service. The next time we're in the area there may be a return trip.

We went on a Thursday evening and street parking was easy to find. Service was great! Here is what we had: 1. Drinks: EASY TIGER- coconut rum, overproof rum, horchata, amontillado, sherry, lime, aromatic bitters. BLOOD, SWEAT, & ROSEMARY (mocktail)- blood orange, lemon, rosemary, soda water. My boyfriend had the easy tiger and found it more tropical tasting than horchata but still liked it. I had the mocktail, which was great! Refreshing drink. Just nice they offer mocktails and tasty ones too! 2. Raw bar: gotta have oysters while in the east coast right? They were from Jamestown and of course yummy. They had a mignonette which was good but since the oysters were so good not needed but a yummy addition option 3. Shared plates/appetizers: CHARRED OCTOPUS- Castlevetrano olive & cannellini bean, frisee, shaved red onion, piri piri, EVOO. This was one of my favorite appetizers. We try octopus everywhere and have had lots of overcooked ones. This was not that! It was soft, buttery and easy to cut and not rubbery. The tail was crispy and yummy. The char was perfect and flavor was on point. PAN ROASTED SUNCHOKES- herbed ricotta, hazelnut, chervil, Calabrian compound butter. What a tasty spin on the sunchokes. I love sunchokes and appreciate a great presentation and different ways to have it. 3. Entrees/Mains: BRANDT FARM 14 OZ RIBEYE- crispy potatoes, onion jam, bravas sauce, haricot vert. My least favorite dish of the night but doesn't mean I have love everything. I still appreciate a really good restaurant and concept. I know this is not a streak house so I understand not being the best steak. It was a bit of a tough steak, but the cooking temp (medium rare) was made to perfection and flavor was simple but perfect (I love love a simple steak without all the extras). The sauce was my least favorite of the dish and could definitely do without. The potatoes and veggies were good except it was somewhat less tasty with the sauce. We made our own surf and turf and had their special for the day. HALIBUT- not sure what was all in for the specifics but this was a winner. The fish was charred yet the moisture was preserved and tasty! Loved the flavoring and sauce. All mixed harmoniously. Dessert: BASQUE CHEESECAKE-fresh whipped cream, brown butter salted caramel, strawberry. We had a hard time deciding between the pistachio tiramisu and the cheesecake. I'm sure both are tasty. I like my cheesecakes more simple and asked for this without whipped cream and strawberry. The consistency of the cheesecake was great! Taste was point on. Although I don't care for caramel with it I tried the caramel and mmmmmm. Cheesecake was a great way to end. Overall fantastic experience. Our waitress was lovely. Staff was wonderful. Food was delicious. The ambiance was cozy and cute. If you are in the area recommend coming here for a nice dinner.

I am sold ... while the atmosphere wasn't my favourite, the food here is as good as any restaurant…read morein Rhode Island I've eaten in. The menu here seems very Spain and Italy centered ... maybe more so Spanish. I was thrilled to find Potatoes Bravas on the menu ... as a frequent traveler to Spain, this is one of my favourite simple dishes. This might be among my favourite versions that I've tasted, which is saying a lot! We also had the Bouilliabase ... quite a heavy dish loaded with octopus, muscles, clams, shrimp and a small piece of cod. The only complaint I've have about this is that it was an absolute salt beast ... both in taste and the fact I could not drink enough water after having this. Overall, I am not sure I'd order it again but am glad I tried it and two people could easily share this. The salad with salmon was fantastic ... a nice, thick piece of salmon cooked perfectly and the salad was also fantastic ... dressed well and very flavourful. We would order this again for sure. We also had the pizza, which was alright but we'd probably stick more towards the entrees and less towards the pizza when we come back. The basque cheesecake for dessert was tasty but way too small a piece for $12. When in San Sebastian, traditional basque cheesecake was much different tasting and a bigger portion. The wait staff and front of house was amazing. I don't think I've had a better waitress anywhere. Great with suggestions and not overbearing while being helpful. The only knock about this place is the lighting is way too bright. There isn't much atmosphere for romance ... the lights would be perfect if they were 25 - 30% dimmer. Other than that, it's very clean and fresh feeling. There is a gas fireplace, a big bar and two rooms ... one of which faces an open concept kitchen. Both are too bright ... but the room in the front with the booths would be my choice if I had to pick. Overall, this is our favourite of the Newport Restaurant Group restaurants from a food perspective. They can be hit or miss but this place is worth coming back to. Sure, Coast Guard House is right next door with water views ... but it can't come close to matching the food quality and menu variety here. I can see why it's so highly rated.

We arrived at 1:45 and walked into disarray. No one to great us, no host or hostess, just a lot of confusion. There was no record of my friend's reservation. We learned there was a 2:30 seating and that took us by surprise. We waited at the bar and had a few drinks. This had me feeling anxious. We heard them discussing table seating for different parties, but when I asked, my friend's name was still not added to a seating list. It seemed there was no one in charge. As 230 approached, we were told we can follow them into the seating area and while other tables had the parties names on small placards, still there was nothing on the two open two-seaters tables. We sat, and waited. On a positive note, we were the first table to be told the food was ready and we could go into buffet. No complaints about the food, it was pretty good. The final irritation was when our bill came, and I handed my credit card to the server. She seemed to be taking a long time to return with my card so I got up and went looking for her. I approached the bar and found her discussing an issue with a co-worker about another diner's bill. All the while holding my card in her hand. I stood at the bar, be ignored until I politely asked if there was a problem with my credit card. They snapped out of their daze and apologized to me. We wrapped up the transaction, and we left. As I said, the food was good, but maybe because it was a special holiday buffet everything was messed up?? Not sure. Not a pleasant experience. Good food can't make up for the ridiculous absence of good service. Doubt I'll return.

Belvedere was the best reviewed but we found the total experience disappointing despite some bright spots. First off, Little Poland has a reputation for food not warm, chatty service. Even with a reservation, the Belvedere staff seemed unprepared and almost disappointed we showed for our late reservation. We waited an inordinate amount of time for a larger table to fit us was cleared, without anyone taking a drink order or doing much of anything. Drinks were small and watery. Things perked up with the best borscht we've tasted, although it's served warm not the traditional cold. The Caesar salad was huge and tasty but not sure why it's on a polish menu. The pierogis were just ordinary; light on filings and served with absolutely nothing else; they were also lukewarm. The Galumpki was more generous and tasty but the potato pancake with goulash was a complete miss. The pancake while large was over fried and acrid at the edges and you were hard pressed to find a decent chunk of beef or piece of carrot in the meager drizzle of goulash on top. $26.95 for this? The atmosphere was a bit sterile and didn't have that old world feel we were looking for; Miami vice and 80's music videos on the bar TV didn't help. We can't really recommend this spot to others.

There were just a few things that were a touch off. The restaurant is divided into at least two parts. I never made it into the second room. The first room was fairly nice. High ceilings. Red brick walls. Large-tiled floor. There was movie related art. I ate a quick lunch alone, but there was a table of apparent business colleagues dining there as well. Service was good. I don't usually do this because I feel like there are better ways to order in a Polish restaurant, but I ordered the Polish sampler. It was fairly typical. Hunter's Stew. Stuffed Cabbage. 2 Potato Pierogi. Kielbasa. And Potato Pancakes. The flavors of the Hunter's Stew and Stuffed Cabbage were good, but both dishes needed to be hotter IMO. The large potato pancakes were really crispy and enjoyable in parts, but they could have been more done towards the middle. They were cooked through, just not ideal. The pierogis were about average for a nice Polish restaurant. The kielbasa was good quality, but could have been a touch less done on the outside for me. I'll definitely return to Belvedere. I'll order one dish next time, as the various components of a sampler like this require great coordination so that everything is peak. Side note. They had amazing bread that you could buy for home use. I don't know the names of Polish breads, but it was nice-crispy on the outside and soft and fresh inside. 4 Stars
