Another fantastic meal at CafeADAM this weekend. So good! I had a tasty mocktail, great salad and a delicious dessert. Make your reservations now!

Why I'll go back: Really flavorful dishes in a warm, classic rural atmosphere. You HAVE to order: One of the bread choices. Healthy? Maybe not. But a decadent way to start the meal. Tony's Tip: Save room for dessert - it's worth it. Just gonna add my kudos for this spot. We have been here twice (when visiting friends in the area). The food is always farm fresh and bursting with flavor. The restaurant feels early 20th century in nature, with wooden floors, multiple modest-sized dining rooms and lots of decorative items that give it a cozy feel. Twice I've had the pork belly lettuce cups, two positively scrumptious creations accented with pickled cabbage, a slightly spicy mayo, and dressing w/ peanuts, topped with a few chunky slices of avocado. These can work as an entree if you're not that hungry, but certainly also as a starter. Salads are fresh. The calamari is good, but nothing unexpected. As for the bread, this time around, six of us shared the BMB (garlic) and Truffle-Honey. Bread is toasted and served warm. One is fine for a snack for four, but I could see a table doubling up just to explore another option. Our entrees were varied, my choice being Spaccatelli Pesto pasta. I was expecting a classic wine/olive-oil based pesto but this one was creamy. I enjoyed it, though I felt it was swimming in a bit too much of that sauce for my liking. Other dishes that received accolades at our table were the linguine and baby clams, bouillabaisse, and fettuccini primavera. FWIW, our "local" friends say the Ramen is excellent. We were pretty stuffed, but I can often be easily arm-twisted into dessert, especially at a new restaurant that I may not visit again for a while. I am also a sucker for key lime pie. So in this situation, I was pretty much helpless. Served to me was a generous triangle covered edge-to-edge with whipped cream atop a quite tart (this is good) pie and a graham cracker crust with perfect consistency. Amazing how a finale like that will find room in my stomach every time! We felt the service was attentive and our server was helpful with our various requests. As for the price, it's not inexpensive, but still fair IMO for what many would say is one of the best restaurants in the Berkshires. For many in the area, it's a long drive to eat out in general. I would certainly make the trip for a meal at Cafe Adam.

Cafe Adam is a unique restaurant with some quirky, artistic decor and vibe to it. The menu had a range of different dishes from tacos to Korean pork ribs. I loved the tuna special I got. It had crispy potatoes, olives, and sun dried tomatoes that all went really well together. Super flavorful dish. Service was great. Felt very attended to.

    I ate the whole thing!!

I can't believe I haven't found this place before in the Berkshires!! There was so much festive energy inside and out. The staff is so accommodating. Our group kept growing and they were nimble and helpful to make a perfect table for us. Two of us had the bento with tuna. Yum. The wings are made from real organic chicken, and very plump. I had the linguini with white clam sauce and honestly it could be the best one I've ever had. My friend had a Negroni and the glassware was this classic old world, beautiful vessel. My other friend, who really cares about the wine, he chooses felt the wine list was excellent. I want to go back and try some more things on the menu asap!

stopped here on the way to a performance at jacobs pillow and it was delicious. we started with the truffle honey bread which was truffle butter, local honey and fresh grated black truffle. the combination of flavors was great and everything complimented each other well. For an entree i decided to go with udon noodles which was an explosion of flavors, only thing i wish is that there was more pieces of pork belly because it was so yummy. my girlfriend got the smash burger special which even tho delicious was not really a smash burger. service was great and attentive and willing to explain any questions about the menu. we sat in the bar area which was great. they have a nice selection of craft beer and cocktails as well. will definitely be back

Was solo traveling in the area and decided on this spot. I sat at the bar and had an amazing bartender who provided great service. I ordered a salad with added salmon for a nine dollar upcharge, which was fine. However, I was surprised to find that it was salmon lox instead of cooked salmon. The portion size was quite generous, but I was anticipating cooked salmon on my salad. Despite that, it was tasty and I finished it. Something to keep in mind if you plan on adding to a salad - make sure you know what you're getting.

    You get the vibe now!

I can't speak highly enough about Cafe Adam!! I've been in The Berkshires for 4 months now and this place is my favorite! After 20+ visits it never disappointed me in fact... nothing but excellence lies inside!! Casually upscale with zero attitude, plenty of deliciousness & an ambiance that'll embrace you

    Is there a dress code?

We have been there twice, once to celebrate Cara's birthday and once for our anniversary. Both times we've dressed up a bit. Most people there are casual, some men wore blazers, but it is basically casual.

Belvedere was the best reviewed but we found the total experience disappointing despite some bright spots. First off, Little Poland has a reputation for food not warm, chatty service. Even with a reservation, the Belvedere staff seemed unprepared and almost disappointed we showed for our late reservation. We waited an inordinate amount of time for a larger table to fit us was cleared, without anyone taking a drink order or doing much of anything. Drinks were small and watery. Things perked up with the best borscht we've tasted, although it's served warm not the traditional cold. The Caesar salad was huge and tasty but not sure why it's on a polish menu. The pierogis were just ordinary; light on filings and served with absolutely nothing else; they were also lukewarm. The Galumpki was more generous and tasty but the potato pancake with goulash was a complete miss. The pancake while large was over fried and acrid at the edges and you were hard pressed to find a decent chunk of beef or piece of carrot in the meager drizzle of goulash on top. $26.95 for this? The atmosphere was a bit sterile and didn't have that old world feel we were looking for; Miami vice and 80's music videos on the bar TV didn't help. We can't really recommend this spot to others.

There were just a few things that were a touch off. The restaurant is divided into at least two parts. I never made it into the second room. The first room was fairly nice. High ceilings. Red brick walls. Large-tiled floor. There was movie related art. I ate a quick lunch alone, but there was a table of apparent business colleagues dining there as well. Service was good. I don't usually do this because I feel like there are better ways to order in a Polish restaurant, but I ordered the Polish sampler. It was fairly typical. Hunter's Stew. Stuffed Cabbage. 2 Potato Pierogi. Kielbasa. And Potato Pancakes. The flavors of the Hunter's Stew and Stuffed Cabbage were good, but both dishes needed to be hotter IMO. The large potato pancakes were really crispy and enjoyable in parts, but they could have been more done towards the middle. They were cooked through, just not ideal. The pierogis were about average for a nice Polish restaurant. The kielbasa was good quality, but could have been a touch less done on the outside for me. I'll definitely return to Belvedere. I'll order one dish next time, as the various components of a sampler like this require great coordination so that everything is peak. Side note. They had amazing bread that you could buy for home use. I don't know the names of Polish breads, but it was nice-crispy on the outside and soft and fresh inside. 4 Stars

The tapas menu looked interesting offering Brussel sprouts, tuna tartare, mushroom & squash toast, chicken liver mousse & garlic confit, just to name a few. I stopped by Isola late evening after driving all day to see the foliage. I sat up at the bar and was given a menu. For this posting, I stuck with food and got a glass of water. I picked out two small plates including the Sardine Toast ($15 plus tax) and Eggplant Caponata ($15 plus tax), which came out together in 10 minutes. Both plates were nicely presented. The Sardine Toast (2 pieces) served cold had sliced sardines with sundried tomatoes & whipped sweet ricotta on thin toast strips. The Eggplant Caponata served hot was comprised of chopped eggplant, tomato, peppers & pine nuts with a long slice of toasted buttery ciabatta bread. This was just enough food for a light meal. The check with Toast QR code was brought over which was $32.40 with tax and before tip. Overall, Isola seems like a great place for couples night out for wine and tapas. The owner's love for the Italian islands shines through in the decor, ambiance, hospitable spirit of the staff and of course the food and wine selections. We tried almost everything on the menu - and I went back for a second ham and cheese croquette with a delightfully spicy pepper sauce. All of the food was perfectly prepared with creative and delicately balanced flavor combinations. My husband thought all the seafood dishes were fantastic and the chocolate torte for dessert paired with a bright sherry was amazing. The service was so upbeat and ontime, and the atmosphere, while cozy, quiet and intimate was also somehow bustling and we continually discussed dishes as they came out with the guests to either side.
