    Sausage patties (two)

True I did a delivery of them overall I got a sense that if they not only do breakfast as well as I got likelihood that lunch/dinner will be in identical category. I had to do a couple of orders because first I thought was whole but however when I called they informed me I didn't exactly & so I put a second part for completion (wise play) and I know it's from CT (Suffield) but still a good spot. Food is really good & being I filled myself with three pancakes & have two sausages patties plus home fries for later plan anyway & my intuition informs me when you actually go there you're gonna to very well taken care of plus if the food is good likely will be the beverages like coffee, juice etc... & also serving those who come I suspect service/ambience is going to match. And now you know.

Most reviews are for breakfast, but the lunch is pretty good as well when I stopped by. BBQ chicken wings & brisket are almost as good as bear smoke house, although not quite. No body beat the bears on BBQ meat yet, but this place has more comfy seating & more relaxed feeling for lunch. Friendly service, a glass of hot water goes a long way when I didn't want cold soda or coffee. It's a better value as well, the two meat combo for $21 is similar to bears but comes with 3 sides including my fav. Brussels sprouts not available from bears.

We were just cruising around during the autumn season when we got really hungry, so I looked up nearby places and decided to stop here--and I'm so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious; I haven't tasted anything this good in a long time. It took a little while for our meals to come out, but it was worth every minute. The service was attentive, and the place was clean and welcoming.

Fire on the Mountain in Suffield, Connecticut, not only serves up a breakfast connoisseur's dream but also gives you those classic East Coast historical vibes--like you'll get well fed and then have to gear up to fight the British! The combination of BBQ with breakfast is smoky goodness that will have you feeling ready for anything. The staff is incredibly friendly, but trust me, this place gets *busy*, so arrive early to claim your spot in this Revolutionary-era-inspired feast. You'll leave feeling like you just won a delicious battle!

If I could eat here every day I would. Great food, tons to choose from and very friendly staff. Love the small cozy feel. Will be back soon

Meat lovers omelette with hash browns

I was traveling though the upper woods of Connecticut (which I think is Native American for "he who pays too much taxes and wears shirts of polo and pants of beige") when I stumbled on "Fire on the mountain smokehouse." The place is lively and fun, the ambience is country diner meets bed n breakfast meets Irish pub? The outside does need more signage. The food: Smokey like the bandit. Spicey like my women. And hearty ...like Paul Bunyan getting ready to chop down some living trees cause F those trees we need paper plates and napkins! I tried the Courry eggs Benedict with home fries, and a sausage egg cheese, as well as the meat lovers omelette. Each dish was large and filled with smoky bits of meats and egg. Very very satisfying.... like finding that extra $20 in an old winter coat pocket. This place was great and close to the airport, so it made a great pitsop on my way to Australia.

We came here with a fairly large group of 9 for breakfast. Such a cute area! (We live about 25 minutes away and it was recommended). The staff was very friendly and our party was seated quickly. Interesting menu options! My favorite was wings over pancakes ( someone ordered them - looked good) and bacon pancake strips. I went more traditional and ordered an omelette with bacon and American cheese. I was disappointed they didn't have Swiss. The omelette was over stuffed with bacon and cooked perfectly. Home fries were seasoned potato cubes and delicious. Rye toast was thicker than normal. Looking at other fishes (and 1 pic) and hearing reviews from my family, combined with amazing service for a large party and my excellent meal earned them 5 stars. No Swiss and all! I'd like to come back and try one of their more unique breakfast dishes.

    Mountain hash

Hubby and I stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Small place but we got a table. Staff was very pleasant. After getting water to start, we ordered the crispy pork and waffles and the mountain hash. Food took a while to come out (however there was a steady stream of door dash orders being picked up, which I can only guess slowed things down for seated customers). The pork had great flavor, but small portion for $15 (maybe 4oz of pork if I had to guess) and the plate doesn't come with anything else (for the price, a side or an egg over the top would've been nice and would add to the presentation of the dish). I also had to flag someone down for maple syrup and butter for the waffle. The mountain hash was a better value but still a bit pricey... the brisket hash and gravy taste great. I think the smokehouse addition is nice with breakfast but if I return, I'd order more carefully.

So you walk farther upward to the bar. Small dark. Limited seating. Cozy and quaint but somehow still awkward. Yelp shows pizza, Steak and other great food. However, I was informed they no longer do pizza. Okay. So, I ordered the steak with red wine. A few minutes later I was told they were out of steak. (6:30 on a Wed). Ok. Np again. The baked scrod sounded good and I flipped my red wine order to sauv blanc. A very good house salad immediately came out. Fresh and full of good lettuce. Not cheap iceberg as well as plum tomatoes and cucumber and red onion. Nice! But it went down from here. Tick tock. Tick tock. Time goes by. The barteneder spending time talking to her favorite guests seemed aggravated that I interrupted after 15 minutes and asked if my dinner was arriving anytime soon? Just as she went to check it finally came out. And was not worth the wait. A $6 piece of cod sitting on mashed potatoes and soggy spinach just saturated in butter. A fish soup almost. $25? Ah not. I was just about to try dessert and the guy next to me ordered another drink for he and his girlfriend. The bartender said no. "We have a three drink max rule." Rude. To the point. Ruined their experience right there and mine too since i already had a martini and a wine. So, I wasnt going to rish an espresso martini with dessert and add more cost to be cut off. Anyway, i decided to skip dessert and just go. I left wanting an underwhelmed.

Food: plating was perfect, presentation excellent and taste was very good as well. Cost: for the area I think it was good, about 30-40 per person and for the quality of food, is on point. Overall: I was impressed with the restaurant and food though a drawback for me was even though I can be considered a great family restaurant, seeing people in tank tops at the bar turned it more into a corner place with great food rather than the upscale restaurant I was expecting. I would go back for the food if in the area.

Sole server was hospitable. Lots of items were unavailable when I tried to inquire about them. Drinks were self-serve, but they did deliver food. I opted for the stuffed French toast and tried their home fries to see how they prepped them. Food came out with a little wait. Took my pics and dug in. The French toast, they did try but it was not the best. Cream cheese was as advertised, sweetened and smeared lightly between lightly dipped bread pieces which were grilled on a griddle. Lots of blueberries and a few sliced strawberries. And some powered sugar for decoration. Taste-wise was okay, but was way too bready and not enough seasoning. If I were to advise on how to fix this, make a cream cheese filling with the cool whip and cream cheese, and make it a substantial layer of filling. Macerate the strawberries, and soak the bread a bit longer so the custard can seep in. The home fries were lightly seasoned, cooked through but lacking flavor. I like my home fries to have a bit of a sear to them with crispy browned bits. I also like them to be seasoned a little heavier, or else all you get is a bland potato. Pricing was about 18.50. So not bad for the dishes I ordered. Portion was right, just the quality was lacking. As a little local diner, it fits the bill just fine. You can get eggs and omelettes and the space is nice. Just know it's very basic and you'll be just fine.

Mon to Sat they open at 5am. I was only 10 minutes away from 6 but I figured they look like a place I'd want to eat at anyway and fate brought me to this awesome establishment. Upon entering it's not too bright and not too dark especially for this hour. The place looks immaculately clean. It's your typical diner feel just a little more modernish with the color scheme inside. Two breakfast bars and the rest booths and tables. Round stools at the bar for seating. The waitress greeted me and I just sat at the breakfast bar. I got a a coffee to start, nice med - dark roast. Not burnt and tasted freshly made, good quality Java to wake you up. Better than Dunkin could offer lol. For my breakfast I decided on the Crazy Good Hash and a side of sausage (they offer links or patties, I love my patties so that's what I chose). First bite was just amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect .. I low key was just thinking it would be the stuff from a can like other diners use but no.. you will not get that here. It was legit fresh corned beef... griddled with hashed potatoes .. it was light and flavorful, crispy crust and soft interior. Not drowning in sodium like the can stuff. The corned beef really just melted in your mouth, so juicy and tender just like a properly cooked corned beef should taste. It was just amazing and I was completely blown away. Paired together with high quality eggs and perfectly toasted with butter toast, there was not one bite left. I couldn't stop eating it. I was almost sad with my last bite .. but I was about to explode anyway since it was a very generous portion. I'm just a glutton when it comes to good savory foods. The sausage patties were great too .. nice crispy and juicy, good flavor profile, not herby like some .. I don't like those but these were great. Please come give this place a try and go for the Crazy Good Hash and Eggs. You won't regret it.

The Polish Dish has pierogi, kielbasa, sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage and a side of rye bread and sour cream - we got this one with the optional mustard and horseradish.
