This is such a cute little bake shop in East Granby. The showcase is quite tempting... lemon bars, muffins. croissant scones, stuffed muffin croissants...cookies the options are endless to satisfy those morning sweet cravings. Our department at work does potlucks every once in a while and one guy is solely responsible for bringing a box of cookies from The Craft! He brought in a box for one pot luck and now his contribution is secured to solely cookies. These cookies are not only delicious, but vegan!! I'm not a vegan but to have a cookie taste that good without the need of any animal products is incredible! I kept hearing great things about this bakery and decided to check it out while in the area. I was happy to see such an awesome variety of baked goods/pastries. They definitely have something for everyone. After perusing the display case I opted for vegan sugar cookie, vegan chocolate chip, apple turnovers, Pain au chocolat and a croissant. Each item tasted amazing but the apple turnover was my favorite. The staff is helpful and kind. And in conversation it came up that they offer baking lessons. It seems like The Craft is closed more often then it's open. I've tried coming here a few times, but they were always closed. I finally arrived at the right time. The Craft is such a beautiful space. Their natural wood countertop is eye catching and an organic piece of stationary decor. They make sandwiches and drinks. The seats are comfy and beautiful. There's a little pumpkin on each table. I got a small iced Dulce de Leche latte. As I was ordering, the lady first put it as hot in the computer, after I told her I would prefer it iced, the price jumped from under $3.00, to over $5.00. Why is an iced latte so much more expensive? Am I really paying extra for a few ice cubes? I understand there's a bit more to it, but I digress... I waited a few minutes for my latte. It was so delightful, sweet, frothy and delicious! I'm not usually someone you're going to find working on my computer at a coffee shop. The Craft might be a possibility. "She's crafty, and she's just my type" (Beastie Boys) Our first visit to The Craft was excellent for three reasons -the space is beautiful, the baked goods were excellent, and our customer experience with Olivia was out of this world, The baked goods are irresistible -turnovers, bagels, cinnamon rolls, croissants, muffins, cookies, and being Friday -even freshly made challahs. We had a hard time picking out what to get and this is where Olivia shined. She described everything with such detail and enthusiasm! She proudly told us that everything is baked from scratch on premises every morning. Literally, it was a joy to interact with her. We ended up with two chocolate chip cookies, a cinnamon roll, a chocolate croissant, a coconut roll, and a vanilla bean scone. We had the cookies with lunch and they were as good a chocolate chip cookie as I've had in recent memory. Can't wait to dig into the rest for breakfast tomorrow! read more

So, it's been about a year since I last reviewed. All I could talk about were the vegan chocolate chip cookies! Needless to say, they were not the same. The last time, they were almost chewy-like and soft. This visit, they were more crunchy, like they were maybe left a minute or two longer in the oven? I finally got to try the chocolate croissant! It was tiny for the price, but it had a nice flavor, and the pastry was super flaky! Now, what confuses me is the pricing on some items. We also got a bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was $2 and to add the cream cheese was another $2. We expected an upcharge, but that much for a shmear? Crazy. This is also the first place I have ever been where they charged you to add half n half to your coffee. I get the charge for alternate milks, but half n half? One last thing. I was looking forward to trying the turnovers again, to see if reviews were taken to heart about how under baked they were. Not once, but on 2 occasions for myself. So glad I stopped in for the full experience. I went to get a box of assorted cookies as a special treat for a social gathering. All I can say is, hands down, those cookies were the star of the event. Everyone was floored by them - oatmeal (gf), snickerdoodle, blueberry/lemon (what dreams are made of) and caramel. I simple can't rave enough. I also grabbed a sourdough bread and I think it may be the best sourdough I have tasted- so flavorful and airy. Sat for a bit with a breakfast sandwich and able to get some reading and writing done very comfortably. Outstanding. My new go to. There must be a lot of love poured into each option. The Craft opened recently and its a wonderful new addition to the area! They have wonderful baked goods and an expanding variety. I love their chocolate croissants, they are great to take home and have as a treat the next morning. They also have quite a few dairy free options, as well as gluten free items as well. In addition to their baked goods, they have some solid coffee including lattes and mochas. What makes them really stand out to me though is the atmosphere. It is SO peaceful inside with lots of seating. I have yet to find a better spot to have a coffee, grab a pastry, and get some work done (or read a book)! read more

After a quick trip to the airport, I made my way towards The craft. Very spacious and gorgeous inside. It's a great location to work or just chill out. If you prefer stale food, cold and dirty cafes and mean staff, then I wouldn't recommend this spot because it's the direct opposite! But if you are looking for the freshest baked goods, a beautifully designed and decorated cafe and super friendly staff then put The Craft at the top of your list and you wont regret it! We had egg sandwiches that were so tasty and - I can't say this enough - fresh, as well as some baked goods. I bought my son a Nutella donut bomb and he devoured it and my husband said it was one of the best donuts he's had. I'm also a picky coffee drinker and thought the coffee was excellent! It's a little "far" (22 mins) for me but worth it so I will definitely make plans to get back as often as I can! read more

Excellent. Just excellent. I used to live in France and I've always been on the hunt for the perfect croissant (and other baked goodies). These are the best I've had since I came back in 2018. The chocolate and almond are my favorites. Their bagels are also delicious- chewy!!! I think I'm officially a regular! p.s., baguettes are also great. they should be crispy on the outside and chewy inside, just like these. I had a great lunch experience today at The Craft. This is an artisanal bakery - think breads, bagels, cookies, muffins, turnovers, cinnamon rolls etc. Everything looks and smells terrific- freshly baked on premises with TLC. My wife had the smoked Turkey bagel sandwich two weeks back and was jonesing for another. I accompanied this time and tried the Smoked Salmon with onions, tomatoes on an everything bagel and it was excellent! The bagel was delicious- crunchy and yet chewy. Very satisfying with a nice mix of cream cheese (not overly done). Brussel sprouts, capers and a lemon dill Mayo that put it over the top. Arnold Palmer to wash it down was excellent as well. Just a handful of sandwiches to choose from but they are top notch. Definitely a less is more approach. Can't wait to go back to try the delicious pastries. This is a first rate bakery and by far the best in the (wide) area. Naima (Owner) and her team were delightful and attentive! Yesterday, I went to this bakery for the first time. From the time I walked in to the time I left, the women who helped me treated me like family. They were so wonderful and all of the baked goods looked so wonderful. I scooped up breakfast for the office, my original intention was to pop in just for one breakfast pastry. I don't know what kind of magic this place has, but I was totally under its spell. The people at my office were in heaven, bagels, cinnamon rolls and cookies!! Not to mention the delish breakfast muffin. I will definitely be back, I need to visit on a weekend to try their coffee cakes. I am sold, even before trying them! This place is extremely cute. My husband and I stopped in after working out to treat ourselves.The staff and owner are super friendly. We felt welcomed. I ordered the croissant loaf and it was amazing. I took it home and made a veggie sausage and egg sandwich for my husband and I. I also tried the vegan sugar cookies they were definitely the best vegan cookie I've ever had thus far. It was soft, not hard like the vegan cookies I've tried in the past. The cinnamon rolls have an amazing whipped topping. The consistency snd flavor is unmatched. I wish their was more cinnamon swirl inside of the cinnamon bun. I love croissants and have had them in many different places. I did not expect the ones at Craft to be as wonderful as they turned out to be: delicious, buttery flaky and perfect. My wife ordered palmiers and I had a bite of one. It was equally good. Food is expensive, reflecting that it is handcrafted, but worth every penny.
