"So come here baby My honey, cutie-pie So I can tell you that I love you" (Jewel) Q: How many cupcake flavors can Cutie Pie whip up in their kitchen? A: Would you believe over 200? How amazing is that? I picked up a package of six assorted cupcakes and was delighted to unexpectedly discover that the frosted cupcakes were all filled cupcakes! Yup, there is a groove carved into the top pretty much all the way down to the bottom and its filled with plain or flavored buttercream, cream cheese, or whipped cream frosting. Some are topped with drizzles, nuts, berries, or ganache toppings. The thing that struck us as we enjoyed their cupcakes (carrot cake and cherry were our faves) was that the frosting wasn't crazy sweet at all. This is a very cool store to visit and explore all of the goodies in their showcase. Not in the mood for a cupcake? Well, Cutie Pie has a big product line that also includes whoopie pies, trifles, cheesecakes, pies, tiramisu, cookies, frosted pretzels, and some seriously gorgeous custom cakes. read more

Upon walking in you immediately notice the soft modern, yet vintage opulence, with the touch of sweetness in the air. The lavender macaron is a must try, along with the lavender lemon cupcake. (Huge lavender fan) The cakes/cupcakes are always perfectly moist, each having great flavor, and a crumb never gets left behind. With the lightness of the buttercream, it's a perfect combination and not too heavy. Cupcakes, macarons, cookies, Tiramisu, cannolis, cheesecake, scones, key lime pie, brownies, macarons...an endless variety of delicious treats, perfect for birthdays, weddings, backyard bbq, graduation parties or just because you want a sweet for yourself. Highly recommended especially for a girls date and Mothers Day! The owner is so pleasant and truly takes pride in her business and is so friendly & warm. read more

We had ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from this bakery in 2023 and they were great. We're now expecting and wanted a gender reveal cake from the same bakery. We had our friend order for us as our "secret keeper" and told her all the details (size and flavors we wanted) but she was informed that the cake needed to be vanilla only for "food coloring purposes". Fast forward to the reveal, the cake wasn't even colored. They added small about of colored buttercream which absolutely could have been the flavor we wanted. In addition, the price on their website for the cake was one thing and then they charged us DOUBLE because it was "custom". Called to explain our frustration and upset and they said there was nothing they could do. Very disappointed and will not be ordering anything from here again. read more

Not super thrilled with the new owner/management. We got our daughter's 4th bday cupcakes from here and the quality was 180° the opposite of last year. They were misshapen, sloppy, and we had to have them redone. Definitely disappointing. Thankfully, the owner refunded us but the whole situation was just super frustrating read more

Had the pleasure of visiting this adorable bakery recently, for several orders. From their cupcakes to their cheesecake, outstanding, both in presentation and taste!! My new personal favorite, their oreo cheesecake, was a family hit!! will absolutely be back!! read more

Have ordered from here in the past. It is pricey and has gone downhill in quality. Cakes and cupcakes are mediocre. They aren't bad but just seem to be inconsistent. The service is friendly enough but they always seem confused. read more

A delightful shop located at the back of a strip mall! The entrance is shared by a health care provider, but just take the next door to the right and you'll walk into a delicious smelling bakery. They have cookies, brownies, and cupcakes to go (and on hot days, cold drinks in a cooler), and their samples of customs cakes are immaculate. The cupcakes are moist and have a filling surprise under the icing. They travel pretty well, and I'd recommend getting a full six to make sure everything balances! read more

I can't say enough about this bakery. The cakes, cookies, trifles, pies, you name it, they have the best around. Tanya the owner is so friendly and accommodating for all my needs when ordering, as is the rest of the staff. Huge fan of the fudge brownie, confetti cake, whoopie pie's, cheesecake and love the key lime pie! The cake is always so moist and fresh, as is everything. And I just love her cake designs! This bakery is a gem! It's hard to find a cake bakery that not only makes beautiful looking cakes but fantastic tasting cakes, and this place does both with style. I've been getting cakes there for several years and they never disappoint. Found them originally when checking out local places to find great cupcakes for the kids. Most recently they made a two tiered masterpiece for my mom's 80th birthday party. Tanya worked with me and my daughter by email for two weeks to come up with the design and the result was breathtaking and delicious. I have to say that I think their prices are very, very reasonable given the quality of their product. I can't wait to have another reason to go back. By the way, they make great pies too !!! read more

I've come to the conclusion that I prefer Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines cupcakes over ones from a bakery. Not that the cupcakes I picked up yesterday at Cutie Pies were awful, but honestly, they just didn't do it for me. Very similar to the ones you get from the Sugar Cupcake Truck in New Haven (and that is quite popular). So, for anyone reading this review, just wanted to let you know it's just a matter of preference. You might very well love the baked goods found at Cutie Pies. Certainly the place is very clean & presentable, and the product is fresh tasting. read more

We ordered from Cutie Pies because they had amazing reviews and a good variety of sweet treats. We purchased a cake and a pie from them for Thanksgiving and the cake was delicious! No complaints there. The pie however, was a bit of a let down. It was severely undercooked on the bottom. It tasted like raw dough, which was sad since the filling was so good. I think this place is worth giving another shot to, because the flavors of everything, besides the undercooked pie shell, were delicious. read more

Let me begin my review by saying i've been a loyal customer to this business for the past 12+ years. Every year i've ordered the same flavor and style of cake: chocolate with oreo filling - their oreo filling is truly the most delicious. Both my extremely picky sons & guests alike have grown to love & look forward to it. This year i opted for break apart cupcakes as opposed to a full cake like i usually get. The break apart cake included 24 cupcakes - 12 would be funfetti & the other 12 would be chocolate with oreo filling inside. For this I paid $130. I picked up my order and headed to my son's birthday to assume business as usual. To our surprise, when it was time to eat - none of the cupcakes had been filled with oreo filling. & as such, no one - including my son - chose to eat the plain chocolate cupcakes. I quickly wrote Cutie Pies & informed them of this, to which someone responded that they would give me 6 free cupcakes (even though the cake was supposed to include 12) following Tuesday or week later. I wrote back that even though she offered 6, the 12 cupcakes that were made incorrectly were for a birthday party that would be over by then. I preferred to be compensated for the incorrect order. Cutie Pies continued to fight me on this & said on their end the order was fulfilled since the picture i asked for was included in the cake. Completely disregarding the fact that we wanted to EAT the cupcakes, not LOOK at them. They wanted to provide a discount should we ever place a future order - assuming that I would even be making another order without doing what they should have to make things right for THIS order. Ultimately i was offered a mere $10 for our troubles, in spite of the $130 i paid. My family called to inquire afterwards how much a dozen cupcakes with oreo fillings would be as a stand alone & was quoted $42 - this WITHOUT any designs or pictures, which my cake included. What was even more upsetting was having to go back and forth with the owner Tanya on the phone & hear her laughing at me for even questioning them or their business or the fact that my hard earned money was wasted. All I was asking was for them to make things right for the money that I already spent. $10 isn't reasonable by any standards and the unprofessionalism was a slap in the face after all these years. Finding great food is lovely, but being treated with respect and integrity in this day and age means a whole lot more and I pray the staff there never have to find themselves in the situation they put me in. Needless to say due to the experience over the last few days, I absolutely do not recommend this business. read more

Amazing place and very friendly staff. They do create great and delicious cake. I want to give Kristina the well deserved credit for such an amazing job with both my wife's 30th bday cake (the show FRIENDS design) and my son's 14th bday cake (basketball design). Her exceptional work was beyond my expectations. She communicated every step of the way with me and I wanted to express my appreciation on behalf of my family smiles for their special bday celebrations. Both cakes were very delicious and our guests also loved them. Too bad there weren't any left overs for us to keep lol. Thank you so much Kristina for all your great designs and hard work. I highly recommend this business and their awesome staff services to everyone! read more

My fiancé and I were recommended this bakery by a former co-worker when we were on the hunt for a place that could produce wedding cake(s) for our big day. We ended up going for a tasting just to get an idea of how they were and HOLY CAKE were we impressed. First off, the bakery is adorable. Bright and fun. Like a little old fashioned candy shop with a modern twist. The woman we met with was bright and bubbly and ready to go with ideas for all different possibilities. We sat down to a phenomenal spread of fillings, buttercreams, and cupcakes that were quartered for easy mix-and-match tasting. Every. Single. Flavor. Was. Amazing. Not one cake or filling disappointed. We were so extremely impressed. My fiancé, who doesn't even eat cake; tasted (and finished) every flavor combination that they had. As we chose our combos, the woman was creatively coming up with names of different cakes that perfectly expressed the contents so our guests would know. She even came up with unbelievable decoration options for each cake that are images straight out of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. The best part is that her pricing is beyond compare. SO reasonable; you couldn't even consider anywhere else. Very fair for all of the love and work that is going into your dessert. We literally cannot wait for our wedding and to see all of the guests enjoy this wide variety of amazing flavors. Would highly recommend the products and the experience of working with Cutie Pies! read more

I'm honestly not sure why, but for the 4th of July, my mother-in-law was SET on getting a lemon meringue pie. She had heard of this place and took the trip out the day before the holiday. While they didn't have any lemon meringue, she got a blueberry pie and a key lime pie. Ok, so while blueberry isn't my favorite type of pie this one was amazing! It was so good, I had a second slice with some vanilla ice cream. Key lime is my favorite and its hard to find a really good one. Well, I've found the most perfect key lime pie, ladies and gents. Cutie Pies does it!! Perfect consistency, tart to sweetness ratio, dollop of cream and perfectly moist crumb crust. I WILL be getting this again. MIL will be ordering ahead a lemon meringue for a birthday party in August, and I can't wait to try it! read more

Cutie Pies - Cake tasting. This place is awesome! !! Wedding 60 days out. - Desserts Near Me - Thomaston, Connecticut

My husband and I live in Thomaston and have had cutie pies cupcakes many times, all of which have been more than excellent. When we went to get married, we shopped around, and then recalled that cutie pies makes amazing cupcakes, so we were sure their cakes would be just as good. We were thrilled when they quoted about $300 less than most wedding cake shops in the area. We went in for a tasting, and everyone was friendly and accommodating. Our wedding was in Sept so we ended up going with a very autumn apple cake with pumpkin mousse filling. Our cake was amazing looking and the best wedding cake I've ever had. The guests raved about the cake, and my husband and I, having just celebrated a year of marriage got to revisit it on our anniversary. We loved everything about our cake and would recommend Cutie Pies highly to anyone looking to purchase a delicious and affordable wedding cake. read more

I can't express how much I love this place! We went through them to have a cake and a smash cake done for my daughter who was turning 1. It was Minnie Mouse themed and it came out exactly how I pictured it and it tasted really good. Everyone at the party loved it! I ordered my son's First Holy Communion Cake from Cutie Pies. It was recommended to me by a restaurant we were having our event. At first I wasn't pleased with the fact that they didn't have much decorations as far as Communion stuff, but no big deal. I looked around and purchased my own. When I went back to give them my decorations, the girl who took care of me said that they can actually print anything I wanted, on an edible paper, and put it on the cake. Perfect! I found an image online, emailed it and the cake came out great! read more

Cutie Pies is amazing! Their cupcakes are incredibly delicious and their cakes are not only delicious but look amazing. The people who work there care about their customers. I've gotten their cupcakes a few times but my favorite are their cakes. I had them make my sons 3rd birthday cake. I gave them a few pictures and told them what I was looking for - dinosaur theme. As you can see they surpassed my expectations! I then ordered 2 cakes for my dads 70th birthday party. Again I gave them a theme and they ran with it. All of the guests at both parties took so many pictures and complimented the taste of the cake. I had people come back for a 2nd piece! I can't wait to order from them again for my sons 4th birthday. read more

Cutie Pies is an amazing bakery located in Thomaston, CT. If you have an idea for a cake they can make it happen and the owner has great ideas on how to elevate even the simplest designs. I often buy cookie, brownies and mini cupcakes for clients and they always love them! Cutie Pies also made my wedding cake which was so elegant and perfect for my rustic theme. They made my son's 1st birthday cake and smash cake last year which was a Mickey mouse Halloween theme and it came out so perfect that it's going to be hard to top it this time around.
