I love trying out new coffee shops around the state and this one takes the cake. The staff were super nice and friendly. It's a small spot but convenient for to go orders. They have so many yummy coffee options I def need to come back and try more, but can confirm my blueberry cinnamon crumble tasted just like a blueberry coffee cake and I wanted to swoon with happiness. This place is good for the only local bagel shop around but it's extremely unorganized. There is never a clear line to order food and not a big enough area to wait for pickup. The wait for food and coffee is always at least 15-20 minutes even if you call ahead. They have a large selection of coffee flavors on the wall but every time I've come they never have 3/4 of them and the hot flavors are not the same as what they have for cold flavors. The people who work here....some are nice, some are rude af, some are just weird. I just left here and after asking what two different flavors were like the guy had no idea...nothing to tell me about it. He said I'll just have to find out. My order has been wrong here plenty of times as well. I will ask specifically for a hot coffee and get a cold. I will ask for butter and get cream cheese. Simple things but easy things to just get right. I've also never been to bagel store that runs out of bagels but then I realized that they don't cook their bagels on site here. They get them shipped here from another location. I come here just because there is no other bagel store in town but they could do much better. read more

Today I visited Tony's Coffee for the first time. I ordered a sandwich with cream cheese, lettuce, tomate, cheese and ham. You can customize your own sandwich and coffee. It was good and the price was great. The service could be better because I didn't understand how it worked and the woman that assisted me was not really helping. I think if new people come, they should be nicer. There's a lot of free parking outside. read more

Came in here for a coffee and a donut. My boyfriend asked for his coffee black, and when we got in the car, it was made regular. I would've understood if it was the morning rush, but it was mid-afternoon and we were basically the only people in there. It's nice that they serve Ami's bagels, which are my personal favorite. Based on my experience every time I visit tonys coffee! I will give this place a 5 Star, though i would only give it 4 and a half only because their call ahead isn't like what it use to be like. Wait time can vary on the time of day but for the most part it isn't bad, the staff is extremely friendly, Always being asked if we have been taken care of which is a huge plus in my book! The different flavors of coffee are amazing! Their bagels are to die for! Always fresh, and if it's not they always reassure they can make us a fresh one. Twice I've come in here and I'm invisible. So I decided to tell someone "i was here before the 2 other people that walked in after me and this is the 2nd time this has happened to me in here" and instead of a simple customer service apology, he gives me multiple reasons why they PROBABLY thought I was being help. There was only 1 other person before me already being helped and 4 people behind the counter. 2 which were just talking to each other. It was not busy. A friend of mine recommended Tony's and I was in the area yesterday so I figured I'd give them a shot. I'm not usually a big fan of flavored coffee but I tried the chocolate peanut butter as an iced flavor and I was more than impressed. I even went back this morning for another coffee even though I live 20 minutes away. This place is certainly worth the drive! My fiancé got a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and he said it was very good. Prices are low and very reasonable. Everyone was welcoming and service was extremely quick even though they were busy! Best iced coffee in the state of CT! This is a family owned business that serves Omar's coffee (served at almost every diner) and also offers a wide variety of bagels, donuts and other scrumptious desserts. I recommend an iced cinnamon hazelnut coffee with a monstrous apple fritter...the combination is outstanding. Keep in mind, this is a cash only establishment. The first time I ever went I did not have cash on me, but the owner gave me a FREE iced coffee and since then I go whenever I'm in the area and often drive out of my way. This place is FABULOUS. Every single time I come here, I order 4+ coffees for myself and coworkers. The staff are SO accommodating. They always work fast and diligently to fulfill my order. They're always friendly and eager to support customers. Their coffees are literally unlike anything I've ever tasted, anywhere else. The good: Ami's Bagels huge & chewy. Perfect for the breakfast sandwiches. Lots of flavors to choose from. Great flavored cream cheeses. The bad: So disorganized. I've been here several times, and for some reason, it is impossible to place an order, be rung up, and then receive your order. Employees skip around getting half orders from different people and then moving on before you've completed your order. Then people behind you in line are rung up before you. There's been times I was waiting at the counter for food with my money out, ready to pay, and 3 people behind me were rung up. Sometimes they don't even know if I've paid yet or not when I've already been given my food or coffee. Lots of delays when there's no reason for it. My boyfriend usually gets too frustrated by this to even come here. The OK: service is hit or miss. A few employees are always friendly. There's one who's consistently short, borderline rude. I get this is a local spot with repeat customers, which I think is great. The thing is, I've been coming here for 2 years, and it is just so inconsistent. Coffee, while certainly better than Dunkin, is just OK. Tons of flavors, hot and iced, but quality is so so. Pastries are the typical huge creations that some people like, but aren't for me. Tony's has iced coffee that will blow Dunkin Donuts right up out of the water. Great little place in Thomaston that doesn't get as much recognition as it should. They have freshly brewed coffee, breakfast sandwiches and pastries made daily. I spend a lot of time in NYC and I consider myself a bagel afficionado, but this place has the best bagels in New England as far as I'm concerned. Hands down. Their italian pastry platter is also very tasty if you're in a pinch and need something for a get together. I've been here 3 times and this place is flawless. The coffee is fresh and delicious. I always get the cinnamon hazelnut. The breakfast sandwiches are the best. This place has the BEST coffee in Connecticut (imho). Besides using Omar coffee, I really believe it is their water source (private well) that makes their coffee as unique and flavorful as it is. I never get the flavored coffee, but they do have tons of it;. and it's made from beans that have the flavoring (not the stupid syrup shots other places use). They recently started taking credit cards, so have no fear drastic plastic people (I'm one too): no need to go looking for the nearest atm machine anymore (btw it's across the street at the Thomaston Saving Bank ;) If you get there before noon, you might find the Mount Everest of all Apple Fritters in the case. Try and give it a climb (easier if you try and tackle it with a friend), you will not be disappointed! They have breakfast sandwiches, awesome bagels, cannolis, eclairs and more. If you look on the counter, you will see a long paper menu (ask if you don't see it) where you can order some of the more special pastries and pick them up at a later date. One of the items to get from that menu is Sausage Bread and it is YUM (get it with cheese too)! I've traveled all over this state and have never found a coffee shop that is as good as Tony's. I wish I lived a bit closer, but I stop by there every time I'm in the area. read more

Stopped on our way to visit family. Needed a coffee and a snack for the drive. Tony's is now our go-to spot on our dive up to visit family. We both got coffee. I got coconut, so good!! We also Had to get a donut. Husband got the cinnamon. It was rich and moist and everything you would want. I got the glazed jelly stick. First time there today. I ordered a cappuccino. The woman behind the counter had a huge scowl on her face and said, "With nothing? Okay!" I asked for whole milk and she rolled her eyes at me. That should have been my cue to leave. When I got the cappuccino, it tasted like over -milked hot chocolate smothered in honey. I returned it. Another worker laughed and said, "Well, if we make it again, it'll taste the same." I asked for my money back, and she rolled her eyes and reluctantly gave it to me.
