I absolutely love this little coffee shop. It is decorated so nice and cozy . It's handicapped accessible and they have breakfast and lunch fresh baked goods as well . I have had muffins and I love the turkey sandwich w the roast beef panini. The chai tea is really good a variety of flavors and smoothies , Frappuccinos . Wet reasonably priced and just a an overall great place. The staff is all wonderful . The only thing I wish is that they stayed open a little later than 3pm . I am a HUGE fan of this place. First and foremost, this coffee shop has a lively and welcoming vibe. The people who work there are always smiling. It's refreshing! The space has great light and is cozy and comfortable year round. The coffee is really, really good. I prefer their lattes and love that they not only have lots of different flavors, but also several that are sugar free!And the pastries...OhEmGee! They are to die for. My last visit to Main Street Caffe was on September 3rd. I went there for a quick lunch with a friend. We both ordered the grilled chicken Cobb salad. There is plenty of seating either indoors or outside. We opted to eat outside because it was a beautiful day. The grilled chicken was tasty and moist. The salad as a whole was scrumptious! I actually inhaled mine. In the past, I've also ordered the Honey Bear (GF) which is toast, peanut butter, bananas, with honey drizzled on top. Great with a hot cup of coffee. This place would be nearly perfect if it had more parking. The parking lot is on the small size therefore it feels tight. Also, you might be waiting a bit to pull out of the parking lot if your trying to take a left. I recommend this coffee shop. They have a pretty wide selection of coffees, teas, baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and more! read more

Is it possible to drive by the cutest caffe weekly and have no clue that it's a hidden gem, yes!! I came to the Main Street Caffe to purchase some baked goods prepared by the Cheshire Baking Company and much to my surprise the caffe was jammed packed and everything looked delicious that was being served. The parking lot was full so I parked in the back, I was told a little tip that they rent spaces from the gas station next door so you can always park there. The staff that helped me were both very friendly and super welcoming. I'll surely be back! read more

Strolled in this rainy Tuesday morning and had no idea what I want but heard so much about this place so I decided to stop in and check it out. I ask the server which was better between the white hot chocolate or the Peppermint hot chocolate amd she said well I can combine the 2 and I was like ok cool. What a cozy little cafe! Felt like I was in a vacation spot, with a little gift shop surrounding me. The lobster bisque was outstanding, and the sandwiches and wraps were delicious and full of fresh, crisp ingredients. Also have a wide variety of drink options including, espresso based drinks, different flavored hot chocolates, smoothies, and boba tea. Additionally they have a good variety of pastries that are (according to another reviewer) from Cheshire Coffee Co. I got an egg sandwich for breakfast from here and it was very basic (just egg and cheese on bread), but the egg was a great quality. The bread was very basic, but they had a selection of different types of bread you could choose from. The space itself is very cozy, and they have a few tables outside as well. I would much prefer to sit inside during normal times however, as the area the cafe is in is not the most scenic. 8/10 read more

Definitely the most reasonably priced and delicious cafe around i never spend more than 10$ on myself no matter if i get a sandwhich, bagel, or bakery item inside has a cute little gift shop too variety of breakfast and lunch items and everything is stellar better iced coffee than dunkin for sure and better price for the size of small :) pumpkin spice coffee all year round too which is amazing for me inside seating and atmosphere is super nice, if you eat in they bring you the food and in the winter sometimes they light the fireplace by the sofas!! the ladies that work there are super nice, some lunch sandwiches comes with a cookie and chips too :) what more can I say? Main St Caffe is a hometown hero of sorts. It's a cute spot nestled in the center of Cheshire CT. Their offerings include everything that a coffee, breakfast, and lunch spot should. The staff is so friendly, it's owner operated and just a delight to visit. There are local merchants who showcase jewelry, mugs, and other local faves. This place has a sitting area with roughly a dozen tables. Great place to study when your looking for a comfy nook to hide in. All good is made to order, so be patient. I literally sat here staring into space for a solid 90 seconds thinking about middle school days. This cafe is SO adorable (BUSY AF) but just precious. I ordered a egg salad sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes and picklessss mmm and they put that sucker in a plastic lunch box with chips and a freaking lemon cookie lol It was like my childhood years eating breakfast on a sunny summer day in the camp i never got to go to. I can dream though right? I must say the muffins looks incredible! It'll give me a stomach ache for a fact and I will feel like crap after BUT it may be worth the hurt. I miss my Sunday morning cafe tings when I lived in downtown New Haven but this may be the new spot for me although i cant walk to it the drive isn't so bad. Lets not pretend this is an actual sit down restaurant like Waverly or vic house linda... you serve thomas brand bagel (which are awful) and microwaved eggs. Your best food is purchased from Cheshire baking company, not made yourself. This was the first time my wife wanted something other than your poor quality food and you gave us a nasty comment about not overpaying for store bought food. BTW we have brought your coffee into chefs (which is FAR BETTER FOOD) and the owner thanked us for coming, asked where we got our coffee, if we knew which brand it was and knows us by name as well. He didn't insult us, or make some nasty comment about how a business makes money. btw they make money on keeping customers coming back, not by pushing poor quality food on them. I met up with a group here, and there was constantly a flow of patrons. Clearly, this spot is popular with the locals. The space definitely has a cafe, order your food and bring to your table vibe, but it also maintains a cozy feel - the type of place you could stay a while. The space is large enough to accommodate groups, and with the ebbing and flowing of people, there still always seemed to be seating available. I got an egg and cheese on a bagel. I wish the bagel flavors had been a little more visible, and I just opted for plain. However, I appreciated that the sandwich was well priced and not greasy. I was very tempted by their baked goods, which are at the front where you order. Menu also includes some sandwiches and salads options and a many coffee concoctions. Parking lot can get busy. There's a guy there each time though who WAS NOT NICE to customers and gets pretty confrontational out of nowhere. Only deducting points because of that guy's customer service. Charming cafe right around the corner from the downtown district! The interior is comforting, trendy, and squeaky clean. We walked in and felt at home, especially sitting at the comfy couches placed about a fireplace. Plenty of tables and high tops spot the left half of the restaurant, while the right side is occupied by a huge deli and counter service. The menu boasts some excellent items at a low cost, including a five dollar sandwich menu that comes with small sides. The desserts and baked goods were extremely enticing, while the fair priced salads looked big enough to be an entree. They have an extensive menu of drinks as well, and the baristas are prompt. Off to the side is a quaint little boutique that sells accessories, which adds a nice small town touch. When I was in high school, my friends and I used to come here often to study and hang out. This is back when it was still called Cheshire Coffee! So naturally, when I came back to town, my friends and I decided to come back so I could reminisce. We went here this morning for breakfast. We got four egg sandwiches, two coffees, and a chocolate croissant to share. When I looked at the price, my jaw dropped. It was $18 for all of that!! I did a double take and asked the cashier if she was sure she added everything in. Boy, do I wish I had one of these near me in Avon. My sandwich was delicious. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a hard roll. Apparently they microwave their eggs, which I'm fine with (especially for $3). The egg was fluffy and the hard roll was soft but crispy on the outside. Yum! The chocolate croissant was not as good as I had hoped. It was a bit chewy; I like it more flaky. I would love to come back again and try some of the other pastries. read more

I have gone to this café several times before. But I actually ended up catering with them this past week for a local school. The teachers at the school loved the food. Owner Linda has a hidden nasty streak...having had order errors in the past but always ordering the same things, my wife and I provided a written order to help...the owner Linda threw it away stating she didn't need it...next time, my wife was placing an order, and after the first item was mentioned, Linda whipped around while my wife was mid sentence...we were stunned. We stayed and we said later on paying we would appreciate the courtesy of finishing an order before one turns their back on someone. Later, after we sat down, Linda comes over to our table and starts yelling at us how many years she has been in business and that she doesn't need to be 'lectured to'! How obnoxious! I've been in business for 30 years miss and I never have treated my customer base rudely even if I thought they were wrong...and I would never treat someone's spouse the way you did. Recommended soliciting Southington Coffee up route 10...much nicer people and environment. Shame on you Linda for being so rude and having such hostility underneath...no reply can ameliorate how we were treated, regardless on how you may try to answer this review, other than to admit you were wrong and having a bad day or whatever....take a note from your husband who has always been a gentleman... read more

We found this place after a 2 hour ride on the Farmington Heritage Canal Trail. We had wraps. They were delicious! Everything tasted really fresh. The hot and iced coffees are excellent as was the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere. Very clean. Reasonable prices. And they have a comfortable outdoor set up. We'd definitely go there again next time we're in the area. read more

I just wanted to explain my experience at this caffe. I overheard the owner speaking unprofessional, immaturely and horribly towards her employees. I watched the eggs being cooked in the microwave but the caffe has been voted the 'best breakfast spot in Cheshire'. I am disappointed in the service and business. Do better Cheshire. read more

Just discovered this place and it is very good! Coffee and Lattes are excellent and the breakfast sandwiches are Great too! Only Con is the fact that I'm pretty sure they use microwave bacon for the sandwiches. So close to 5 start! Very good pricing as well!! read more
