Just knocking down a star because you all know how I love to review on study/workability. While you can definitely study/work here, there are only 3 tables and a couch area. If you get there early, it is great! In addition, the service was not the best. They have a bunch of breakfast items as well, including bagel sandwiches. For drinks I got a fall seasonal kettle corn latte and it was really good! My mom got a caramel apple cold brew which was not as good, tasted a bit bitter. read more

I highly reccomend Cafe Luca Belle! I stopped in here for the first time last week and was really excited to try their blueberry creme matcha. There was only one person working in there and she was absolutely working her butt off - I applaud her! She was very accommodating after realizing that when I ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches, they were out of one of the main components, and she quickly gave me options to make it better! She was very professional and helpful, especially when balancing every role! The matcha was really lovely - I was there could had been a tad more of cold foam at the top, but besides that, I enjoyed it! The blueberry puree/syrup was delightful! And their chocolate croissants are just insanely delicious, they're perfectly flakey and buttery and I could seriously eat 10 of them! Tried a few of Cafe Luca Belle's September specials and boy, were they delicious! We got two drink specials, Left No Crumbs and Hearts Pumpkin. The Left No Crumbs was a caramel apple pie inspired latte which was just a delight. The cinnamon crumb topping was my favorite part. Hearts Pumpkin was Cafe Luca Belle's signature cold brew with pumps of pumpkin pie and white chocolate syrup and topped with vanilla cold pumpkin foam. We were able to customize them with oat milk too. The cold foam couldn't be made dairy-free though, but we like it pretty and opt for it. We also got the Sweet Heat Bagel that was a crème brûlée bagel. They sprinkled sugar over the cream cheese and torched it to give it the real crème brûlée taste. They topped it with peaches and hot honey. The bagel was big enough to share, but it was so messy. Remember to grab napkins! It was a very busy day at Cafe Luce Belle and seating was very limited inside. Make sure you secure a seat before dining in or ask that your drink and food be made to-go. There is side parking, but I personally park in a public parking lot across the street. It's a great area to walk around when the weather is nice. I recently visited Cafe LB. There was a small seating area, but I was primarily there for takeaway black iced coffee. They had cold brew or nitro rather than iced coffee. I went with the cold brew. It was smooth and rich. Service was friendly. The inside was fine and I would drink coffee there, but the atmosphere was not a particular draw for me. Four Stars read more

Cafe Luca Belle is an adorable coffee shop in Wallingford. The outside has some beautiful fall pumpkins painted on the window. The inside has some comfy options for sitting, and some plants. The whole space is very clean, bright and inviting. There was a large menu on which everything looked delicious. It took me a while to come to my decision. I decided on the Pistachio Latte and The Day-Na Bagel. My latte arrived beautifully presented, with a little cookie on the side. It was so, so tasty. The pistachio flavor was mild, but creamy, lightly sweetened and delicious. The Day-Na Bagel was also very tasty. This was a toasted everything bagel, with cream cheese, avocado and tomato slices, topped with sesame seeds. Yum! I really love tomato and avocado together. This was a great little lunch. The bagel was toasted just enough, so it's a bit crispy, not at all dry and crumbly. There was just one person working here. She was friendly and patient while I decided on what to get. Super cute cafe and something that was sorely needed in downtown Wallingford. It's a large space, which means they have plenty of rooms whether you are there for a friendly meeting or for work. I can absolutely see this being a place hosting an acoustic guitarist on cozy weekend mornings. I got the s'mores latte and brought home a chai latte, both very good. I also got a scone from Kouign (our fave) and tried their current bagel special, the honey nut - peanut butter, honey, and bananas! Been wanting to try this place and the other 2 cafes that are around the corner since they opened. Today i finally chose one and went with cafe Luca Bella since they had bagels and I was craving one. I got the loaded lox on an everything bagel. It was very good- I was not a fan of the pickled onion- would've just preferred the regular red onion instead. The fresh dill was a nice touch! I also got an Americano (my go to) with a sugar free brown sugar cinnamon. Loved this flavor! Want to go back and get it in latte to dine in and try their other bagels. They have a monthly menu that changes (see pictures) and ample seating. The cashier was friendly and very knowledgeable. I listened to her help the next few customers who were undecided and she did a great job helping them decide (even get something they never had before). It was pricey and noticed there were no prices on the food menu. $20 (includes a 20% tip) for my 2 items. So it was clearly the bagel that was expensive because the coffee per their menu was only $4. I didn't get a receipt (I didn't ask which was my fault but also wasn't offered or asked if I wanted one). The price of the bagel plus the pickled onions knock it down to 4 stars. I will come back for coffee but it wouldn't be a regular stop just due to price of getting food and coffee . read more

Cafe Luca Belle in Wallingford, CT is the perfect coffee shop to have good coffee, a treat, and a good place to sit and relax. They have a lovely menu of cappuccinos, lattes, coffee, and teas. Treats all look amazing and fresh with some gluten free and vegan options as well. The staff are friendly, informative, and helpful. The coffee shop is not even a month old yet they feel established. We're always up for trying a new coffee shop or cafe, and this one is pretty good. Their coffee is definitely above average, I LOVED their London Fog, and my daughters' hot chocolates were delicious. All three of my children loved their chocolate chip pumpkin muffins too. The cashier was right: you would never know it was gluten free if he hadn't told us! I loved my "loaded" lox bagel too (loaded meaning with all the fixings). The pickled onions and dill were perfect on it. I just wish it had more lox, but I can be a glutton when it comes to wanting over stuffed lox bagels! The inside was a bit bright (maybe have brighter lights where the work station is but lower a little where the customers are?), and the seating felt a bit "cold", but I tend to always think that when there's metal chairs. I typically like coffee places to have more comfy seating, but that can be personal preference. I was also a bit confused at the sizes. I asked for a large London Fog and small hot chocolates, but they all came out in the same size mug. Next time I may ask for them to go even if we eat in to see the to go cup sizes. Lastly, I was hoping for more of a creative drink selection or perhaps more than just a pumpkin muffin (my daughter was hoping for blueberry). Regardless, what they DO offer is quite tasty, drink and food alike, and all the classic staples and seasonal favs are offered. My chocolate croissant was fresh, crispy, flaky and fulfilling with robust chocolate filling. Sandwiches looked interesting with avocado, lox etc. Roomy inside, few tables outside. A solid little coffee shop! Absolutely adorable inside with pretty, modern designs, the staff is so accommodating and friendly. We ordered lattes which were presented in gorgeous mugs. We also shared a delicious gluten free chocolate chip pumpkin muffin. The lattes were great. Good espresso, nice balance of flavors and not overly sweetened. They also serve their lattes with a little pirouette cookie on the side which is such a nice touch. They use quality ingredients and syrups, etc. which is something I always look for. The gluten free muffin you'd never know was gluten free. It was not lacking in anything! Moist, delicious, great pumpkin flavor with chunks of chocolate. It was nice to walk around the area of this coffee shop as well. It's located in a cute area of Wallingford. We enjoyed our coffee date here. I will definitely return. read more

I've visited Luca Belle periodically and the drinks have always been solid. The service is always friendly and the environment is extremely welcoming. However, I stopped in this weekend (just prior to valentine's) and man the drinks were outstanding. After visiting here a couple of times, I have noticed some things regarding this cafe. While I appreciate the local pastries and baked goods, there doesn't seem to be a great rotation of things served. The staff is OK! Not too friendly but also not rude. Each time I have visited, I went during different times to see if the experience would be different. The same rings true for each visit: the service is not as quick (10-15 min wait for a black cold brew or cafe au lait) and the consistency of the service fluctuates. Having two people ringing, making food, and making drinks doesn't seem like enough. I hope as time passes and the "kinks" are smoothed out, the cafe will get another star! read more

I had one good experience the first time that I went with my husband. However, the two times I went by myself, I had terrible experience with the same staff by the way. The first bad experience, the cafe was busy and I waited in line (which was not a problem). However, when it was my turn to place my order, the cashier (slender blond) turned around ignored me and decided to start talking to the back staff without any regard for me. She decided to start talking about how hot it was and removed her sweatshirt. I waited two minutes and walked away. I decided not to go there for a while, my mistake was to come back for a second time. I was running to the library and decided to stop for a coffee. Same slender blond helped, one again, I had a problem. I asked for a snickerdoodle latte, and asked for "hot" and oatmeal. I saw three people getting their orders before me. I politely asked for my order, she said "Ouch." Not apology, continued to talk to the barista. I saw the barista to start getting ice, I said that mine was hot. She acted surprise and started talking to the blonde discussing how she thought it was ice since it is Summer. I got my coffee and left. Never an apology! I am glad that there are other new options in the Wallingford area. I hope she is not racist, but every time that I go with white people, I get better treatment than when I go by myself :( I am a proud indigenous person who has the power to decide where to shop, and this place is no longer the place where I want to shop. read more
