The interior is small. There is a medium size kitchen table with four chairs, and two smaller tables with a couple of chairs at each. So, this is more of a grab and go spot than a sit and sip place. I was impressed to hear all about how they roast their coffee beans and make their own flavored syrups in house. I ordered the Frosty's Favorite as a latte with oat milk. I was disappointed when I tried my latte because it didn't taste like much of anything. I actually ended up pouring my coffee out. I think I took 3-4 sips and that was all I could stand. The latte lacked body and coffee flavor. There wasn't even an aroma which typically comes from a good cup of any type of coffee. The entrance is located at the back of the building. There is plenty of parking. Sadly, I will not be returning. I LOVE my coffees, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. and the latte I got from this place fell pretty short. Perhaps it was an off day.

The Bean is a wonderful coffee shop that serves mindfully sourced local roasts with creative flavors. I have tried a few of the specialty roasts that they have had on drip and loved each of them. They use the previous day's tap roast for their iced coffee and their Baja roast for their cold brew, both of which are served with coffee ice cubes. The decor is cool and unique, featuring a vintage coffee roaster, concert posters, coffee paraphernalia, an antique radio, plush leather chairs (a coffee shop requirement, imo), and a skeleton. The owner and staff serve amazing coffee with small-town nostalgia and a smile. I live in New Haven, and The Bean is easily seated miles above most of the spots in NHV in my ranking of local-ish coffee shops.

Here's what I loved about it: * the vibe! * the iced coffee is made with coffee ice cubes!! * the service was oh-so-pleasant. * the coffee cake was decadent-ly delicious! * parking was easy. I will be back!

I make sure to visit The Bean whenever I'm home for the holidays! This visit home I've tried the Sumatra, butterscotch, and hazelnut brews on tap. All three were excellent black, and notably the "sweet" roasts are not at all too sweet (no sugar added). I also got a pound of the Costa Rica blend, which an employee was happy to grind for the French press. My companion ordered a hot breakfast sandwich, which was made fresh by an employee and looked delicious. Great coffee, great food, friendly employees.

This is a very cute, quaint coffee roasting spot with great coffee. I ordered a black coffee which made me genuinely drink without an overwhelming amount of sugar & cream. It did taste good black but I still added cream because........... I don't know. I love cream in coffee. I also had a red velvet muffin that was toasted w/ butter on the side. It was so good. The only 2 downsides to the spot is that it wasn't that easy to find. Not enough signs to indicate where the place is actually located and the sign that is near the street is so small that once you see it it's too late. The other downside is that they don't have any outlets for if you come with a laptop and want to do some work on your visit. The outlet situation could actually be there purposely but besides that, I enjoyed the spot. I spoke to one of the owners about the shop and she was very friendly and very open with the information. There aren't that many coffee roasting shops in the area so finding it was a great treat.

I really love this place! It's the perfect little coffee shop. I moved to the area recently and I'm so happy I found the bean coffee roasters. The shop is really cute inside and the coffee is delicious!

Great Coffee Experience. The Cappuccino was crafted well. The coffee barista made an excellent drink. The shop has lots of cool thing to look at. The roaster is on display near the main entrance. Plenty of parking.

Chai Tea Latte! Not too sweet but a bit bland.

I looked again, after pretty much the line dissipated, so maybe at least 5 minutes. There it was with around 4 other beverages waiting to be picked up. I asked how long this was sitting there, and the gentleman working the espresso machine looked at me, then looked away. If only there was some way to know who ordered a coffee, don't wouldn't die on the counter?!? Needless to say, my mocha was lukewarm. There's so many other great establishments out there, but this place is far from great.

I've been meaning to come to this place for a short while now. Honestly, the name of this establishment itself is pretty cool. Loaded Goat? Makes me think "liddy on a stack", and anything that makes me think "liddy on a stack" I gotta go check out. I actually tried to write a review here from the last week, but as I was writing, I'd realized something I don't always come across. I was at an impasse and couldn't finish this review on that visit, so I had to plan another trip here. Right away, I notice that rustic interior that's also quite cozy. There many flavors of coffees and latte to choose from with shots if you want something a little extra. Also, the prices here are very reasonable. I didn't get time to sit inside last time, but this time I had a much more laid-back experience. The vibe reminds me a little of a North Carolina ambiance with a splash of California mixed in for good measure. North Carolina because of the interior, and California because of the music. On this visit, the guy tending to me told me the microwave was down, so I couldn't have my croissant toasted. That was quite alright though since I had 2 more stops to make anyway, with one being about half hour's drive away from here. Besides, the croissant was still one of the better croissants I've had in a long time and seasoned perfectly, so I have no complaints, toasted or not. The coffees I had were the Snickers on my first visit and the Coconut Creme Pie Latte this time around. Both lattes were, indeed, liddies on stacks! They were both GOATED, and honestly I would come here more often if my schedules were more friendly to coming here. I have no complaints about this place period. I don't say this following kind of statement often, but I actually prefer this to Starbuck's! That's just how goated this place is.

I like my coffee sweet, so the self-service bar was perfect for customizing. Somewhere they say this is the #1 coffee in the state... I'm not so sure. A new day, a new coffee place to start a morning…read more I've actually been sitting on this review since August 8th, and originally, I was going to wait for another visit before I gave this a proper review. However, the more time I have actually had to sit with my thoughts of it, the more I realized I could just write one now and possibly update it later. So here we are at Cheshire Coffee, a coffee spot that sits oddly enough on the Waterbury side of the town line with Cheshire. Seriously, this place I don't even have to go outside my city limits for, and it is, notably enough in between the same two exits on I-84 as Blackie's is across the line. Much like The Loaded Goat Coffee Company in Naugatuck, this place is very inviting, cozy, with great coffees and excellent customer service. This visit involved an asiago bagel toasted with cream cheese, a beef chimichurri sandwich that the baristas panini-pressed for me, and a Churro Latte. All 3 of these things were good to great. Really, this review is mainly a 4-star review in the way that a place I don't have much of an impression on would get 4 stars. I would need to come back for more things to decide whether or not a 5th star would be warranted. But the interior helps makes a strong case for that star. I was most impressed with the poem on display as I was waiting for my coffee. It's not a detail I've shared yet here on Yelp, but this visit 's prompt me to say this now. So fun fact about me is that once upon a time, I wrote poetry. Late sophomore year of high school and going for a few years after and starting in 2007, I wrote poems any time I felt inspired to do so. I once attended a poetry slam that was held by my high school later in 2007 when I was in the first half of my junior year, and boy was that a great experience! Seeing the poem on display, I am really starting to think about getting back into writing poetry. I just need to find a muse and inspirations. This is honestly a great coffee option if I want to start traveling anywhere eastbound towards Hartford and such. I would totally come back in a situation that allows for it and try some other items.
