    avo toast

i liked it a lot more than anticipated. they are quite slow but its also mostly staffed by high schoolers so... (maybe for the summer idk other months) the drink menu is extensive and interesting. loved the avo toast but their menu prices r outdated ($12 for two small pieces of toast is kinda insane) plus the seating area was closed for an event so not ideal would come back tho since not much in the area

Stopped by on my way to Kent Falls for a chai latte and it was one of the best chai lattes I've had. The staff in the to go area were friendly and the prices were reasonable. I love that they have vegan options and non dairy milk options. I will definitely return.

The service was great. Very nice and fast. Their egg sandwich was wonderful happy it was on ciabatta. Their maple iced latte was pretty good I did have a better one later in the day. Beautiful outdoor area to enjoy your breakfast or lunch at especially with these fall views. The cafe portion looked super cute and cozy to enjoy breakfast too. Great stop to start on way to new Milford for a Gilmore girls adventure

Charming little spot. Very chill vibe. Great pop-in or hang-out place, after a busy week or weekend. The food was quick and very delicious. Prices are reasonable.

The standard of quality here is super high. Friendly staff, extremely accommodating and kind faces. Everything we get here is just the best. Fresh breads, and fresh avocado, excellent process and my favorite coffee cake on the planet. This is an amazing alternative to Patty's, Jackies and @the corner. Great decor, clever tables, community vibes! This is Litchfield's best kept secret.

The new addition at Toast & Co.

This cafe is my go-to spot for lunch in Litchfield. The sandwiches here are always very tasty. On my most recent visit, I enjoyed the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich (minus the pickles). It offered just a touch of sweetness with wonderfully soft bread. I paired it with the lemonade special that blended strawberry and kiwi and it was a very generous serving. I have to mention the new addition with indoor seating. It is such a cozy venue with great touches, including artwork on the walls and clever reclaimed windows embedded into the tables. I was particularly impressed by the woodwork on display. There is a bench that I learned was created by Pinnacle Carpentry from reclaimed chestnut wood and the large table came from a building dating back to the 1700's in Milton. Wonderful to see the owners giving new life to these pieces in such an innovative way.

Very popular spot, if you're on a time crunch do yourself a favor and order online before heading over. Breakfast wraps are super yummy. Iced coffee is a good middle of the road brew, could be stronger, but thankful it wasn't weak. Iced Chai was pretty good, added the brown sugar cinnamon flavor for added depth.

I drove for almost an hour to the most adorable coffee shop. Toast & Co is the big sister to Crumbs, which I have recently visited and really enjoyed! Just like Crumbs they have a wall full of inspirational words left by guests. They have beautiful flowers painted all over the interior. I went here with my mom. She ordered a cappuccino, I got the Hot Peppermint Bark Latte. The tables are so unique. I have never seen something like this before. They are glass top tables, with a window frame inside, and each section of the window has a little painting in it. Of course each table has a different painting! Our coffees were brought out to us! They don't yell out your name when it's ready. After you place your order, you can find a seat, then they will bring you your coffee! My mom loooved her Cappuccino! "Ohh this is soo good" was her initial reaction. I have only seen her react this way when she's at Giv Coffee! My Peppermint Bark Latte was also very tasty! It came in a large cup when I ordered a small. It came with whipped cream and a crushed candy cane on top. This was made with white mocha as the base. It was very lightly peppermint, which I prefer anyway. They also make some delightful looking breakfast and lunch options at Toast & Co. I would love to return here very soon and try more of their menu.

My partner and I wanted a scrumptious breakfast after a late night. Toast came up as one of the best options in the area. I can see why! It has a huge menu! It's still only a pickup window. It was actually doing a lot of business even though it was a dreary morning. I wonder why they haven't reopened inside yet. Pickup window is easy. You can also order from there. My sausage sandwich with egg and cheese hit the spot. I also got a smoothie, which filled me up and was refreshing. My chai latte was pretty average but did the trick.

Staff were super friendly and the coffee was excellent. A lot of cool, seasonal drinks. Nice array of breakfast foods with things for every person!

The best toast in town! The mozzarella pesto and tomato toast was amazing. The pesto was so fresh and thick, I've never had anything like it. Most times, I get pesto, it's oily, and this was more like a paste, so rich in flavor, I thoroughly was impressed. I literally had to ask the barista where they get it from. The quality of the food and drink was on point, and the toast was perfectly cooked. Crispy yet chewy. The decor was cozy and cute, and the restaurant was nice and clean. The tables had glass windows with art pieces inside, which I thought was a cool idea. Also, the smores coffee cold brew with marshmallow sweet cream was delicious. The front of the building offered to go orders, and I'll definitely be back for some take out lunch. Loved this little spot in Litchfield!

This is how small the toast was!

And unlike their incredibly high-priced restaurant across the street, al Tavolo, you might actually afford to eat here. The owners have done an admirable creating an environment that's comfortable and low-key without sacrificing their commitment to quality. After all, the phrase "a mano" translates to "by hand," reflecting how the vast majority of items here are made from scratch on site. I come here often for their coffee, which I love for its balance and low acidity compared to Starbucks, etc. But the real star of the show here are the pastries, such as a layered s'more bar the size of a small brick; a variety of gourmet doughnuts (my favorite is the lemon-filled); and "cruffins," a combination of croissant and muffin with a delicious cream filling. My usual go-to are their bagels: slightly crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside. There's also a full sandwich and salad menu with breakfast and lunch options including salads, sandwiches, a quiche of the day, and other specials. Their breakfast egg sandwiches -- seemingly modeled on the now-famous one at Sagaponack General Store in the Hamptons -- are especially popular. While $13 for a basic egg sandwich is a bit ridiculous even for a gourmet one, you'll have little complaint once you have a taste. While you're perusing the menu and pastries, don't forget to check out the well-stocked selection of farm-fresh cheeses and other Arethusa Farm products. And, if you've got room aftewards, don't forget to stop at the Arethusa Farm Dairy Store for some ice cream -- it's also across the street, next to Arethusa al Tavolo. (Disclaimer: I grew up in the area, though I don't know any former or current employees of Arethusa.)
