This is an updated review based upon my first visit to Krafted's new location in the same building. I suggested their old location wouldn't win any beauty contests. Well now, they're Miss Freakin' America. The space is gorgeous. And they aced the talent competition too. I almost exclusively drink iced coffee, and I don't always love Iced Americanos. But here, they were up front about the fact that it would be an Iced Americano, when some places are sneaky about it. I appreciate that. I also liked that they offered three single origins as options. I went with the Papua New Guinea. It was great. Krafted is serious about coffee. This tiny shop serves the absolute best latte I've had in Connecticut or elsewhere for that matter. This is truly the definition of a hidden gem! This coffee roaster is tucked away on the side of a building and offers the best beans you will get anywhere. They roast their own in house and so far my husband and I have tried the Bantam, Mexico and Nicaragua blends and all are fantastic and so unique. Our go to order is the maple latte which I will rave about until the end of time to everyone. They also have a small but delicious selection of baked goods to choose from but our personal favorite are the chocolate chip cookies! I have learned Krafted Brew Lab is on the SIDE of the building. I was afraid it closed, but luckily not! I'm not a coffee person but I love a great hot chocolate. If their coffee is as good as their hot chocolate, it must be a gem! The hot chocolate is made with whole milk, a bit frothy, and soooo rich in chocolate. It is absolutely perfectly for a fall day, even the end of summer. They also sell baked goods which has offering that change depending on how quickly they sell - I endorse the cinnamon donuts. The baristas are friendly, and the ambiance has a turn of the century feel with a lot of wood decor. The front screen door does slam easily, so hold it carefully. read more

Great turmeric latte and my son enjoyed a maple iced latte. It was delicious with a chocolate chip cookie and I had a crumb cake that was massive shareable for Three. Cute little coffee shop that we found on our Gilmore girls tour which of course you have to stop for coffee! Very cozy inside and very local spot. The barista maybe owner was very personable and even made pastries for regulars and knew their order by heart which is great service. I got a maple latte and this was the best one all weekend out of five! I wish I got a bigger portion of it and that we went back that way again. I'm not a fan of the hipster trend and normally try to stray away, but these people sure know coffee and I'll put my hat in my hand and give it to them. I really like this place, great coffee great service and just really simple- people are there to get good coffee! I can't explain the vibe or if this place even has one. It's just simple, laid back and straight forward. Nothing is complicated, the staff is genuinely happy to be there and it's very clean. Hands down absolutely the best espresso coffee in the area (trust me, I've tried them all!).

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed 2 Flat Whites along with a lemon poppyseed muffin and a salted chocolate chip cookie. There's nothing like being served by the owner himself! He was very welcoming and is clearly a great addition to the Bantam business community. Entrance to the shop is a bit hard to see on the side of the building. I love the name of this place! Why don't other places brew coffee as seriously as they craft and brew beer? This place certainly takes it seriously and it shows in the product! Stopped in as I was craving a strong coffee and really liked the small shop. The man who helped us (possibly the owner) really described what he had available in great detail. I ended up getting a very strong (and frankly amazing) cold brew with an Indian coffee mixed in. So addictive! And so strong! I wish I lived closer because I'd be in daily and I also wish I picked up their Thanksgiving blend as that sounded interesting and now I know the coffee is so good. I'll have to stop in again when in the area. read more

It's a new coffee shop for the Litchfield/Bantam area. We stopped by for a brew just a few weeks after its August opening and got a tasty, aromatic and darned strong cup of Americano. Our friend ordered a hot English Breakfast tea. Our 12-ounce cup was $4.50. Whether or not that plays out in coming months remains to be seen, and we wish only the best for the new owner. The rustic shop is located to the side and rear of a sportsman's building and is not easily visible from busy Rt. 202 in Bantam. That may limit getting the attention of passers-by, but we hope not. The shop has a few pastries made by a good local baker, and that is another reason to hope for success for this enterprise. read more

Love this coffee house!! It's a charming little place tucked away in Bantam CT. It's located in the same parking lot as Sportsmen's- and it sneaks up on you a bit when you're on 202 but not hard to find once you are aware of where to go. Man! Our visit today was great. My husband and I often trek out on a Sunday morning to grab a great coffee and explore a bit. Today, Krafted was where we wanted to go. We ordered an Americano and a mocha. My mocha was just perfect- creamy, hint of chocolate, not too sweet, creamy. It was delicious! My husband enjoyed his americano saying it was not bitter and a delicious tasting espresso. We also had a slice of pumpkin bread and a salted chocolate chip cookie. Krafted has some baked goods in glass jars on their counter. Everything looks amazing! We loved the pumpkin bread- full of flavor, fresh, really delicious! And the cookie was chewy, chocolatey with the perfect hint of sea salt. Prices are really reasonable and fair. Our barista was friendly and prepared our beverages to our liking. We loved everything about our coffee date at Krafted this morning and we will absolutely return! read more

I love everything about the charming coffee shop. The coffee is perfect, the milk is local, the treats are made my a local baker (try a brownie or a salt chocolate ship cookie!) and are straight from heaven. When I pop in here I feel like I'm spoiling myself in the best way. Jason, the owner, is so kind and gentle, but makes a mean cappuccino. I also appreciate the extra items for purchase that support local makers- pottery and candles. It's really tastefully curated and overall it feels like a special and unique destination to enjoy the simple and beautiful things in life. Our town is better with KBL in it! read more

Pretty good place. Good espresso and I enjoy the selection of beans from various countries. I've been several times all at least a couple weeks apart. Each time I asked for a small lid on the double espresso because it fills the cup the brim and it's a bit challenging to drive with it. Today it went all over my lap. Each time they said they would order lids. I just think they could a better job following through on a simple request to make a customer experience better. They also need to open up at 7am like Arethusa down the street. I prefer this place to arethusa because of the unique variety of beans but they open too late. With a few small changes the place has potential to be great. read more
