It's clear that this is a spot where many neighborhood regulars come to hang out, and it's easy to see why. We loved their sandwiches on bread from Arthur Ave, as well as the delicious porchetta. My personal favorite was the weekend brunch board, and leave it to Town Plot to include panettone and La Molisana sausage on it! We also enjoyed their cortado and hot chocolate. Having gone to school for years in this area, La Tazza felt like a piece of home, and the owner, Jay, was very friendly and welcoming. We look forward to visiting again soon!

They let me leave after a wait for the check.... Leaving an entire dish behind ... didn't care to ask if everything was alright and when I thought I was gonna take it home they gave me a to go container and made me wrap the food myself .. which when I thought about it didn't make sense because I could even eat this dish -- I had it there once before but this time -- no good. The inside is okay, not ugly, not comfortable though. I asked them to put the baseball game in 3 different times to which they completely ignored -- they attempted once but just changed it back. Mind you, there was over 5 tvs in there .. no one was watching anything at all, just a flyer promotion for their upcoming Halloween gathering. Overall uncomfortable and not inviting experience or environment. I would never go back.

They were strong and good. The bartender was not very friendly. There is one pool table that is in the path on the way to the enclosed smoking area. The pool table doesn't really have enough room around it when it starts to get busy in that area of the bar. The enclosed smoking area is the best part of the place. It has a kerosene heater in the center of it. The live band's lead singer had a curly mullet. The majority of the people in the place were in the 40's or older. And for being in Waterbury, there wasn't a lot of ethnic diversity if you know what I mean. The location of the bar is actually on Meriden Road and not on Chase ave.
