Potato pizza
Brandye K.

Came to this place on a sleepy Sunday evening. Not super busy and no specific reason for an overall negative experience. There was a guy in a blue dress shirt that was taking pizza to the pick up area- I take him to be the manager. The fact that this place is such an awful service with a manager front and center says a lot about overall lack of effort. He doesn't care, why should anyone else. Service- non existent. We had to flag down someone to take our order we had waited for 10/15 mins without being acknowledged. I had to ask for water 3 times. Like what the actual heck!? Potato pizza- potatoes seemed under cooked and under seasoned. Meat pizza- they ran out of meatballs to put on the pizza which was shared with us like 15mins after we placed the order. Clam pizza- was good, the only reason for both stars Seems like there are enough pizza places you can avoid this one

We have been multiple times to the original Sally's New Haven location and this was our second vist to the Fairfield location. My son who lives in Maine has declared this to be his favorite CT pizza place ( yes, he has been to Pepe's and Modern) so we were so glad to be able to make reservations at this location for his recent visit. We arrived about 10 mins before the reservation and were soon seated, provided with menus, and drinks, orders taken. We ordered 3 pizzas, one large pepperoni and sausage, one small extra mozzarella and pepperoni, and one small tomato and mozzarella with garlic and 1/2 meatball. The pizzas came fast and tasted just as fantastic as they always do; nice char, great tasting sauce and cheese, and piping hot! This location's pizza is comparable to the NH location without the hassle of finding parking and waiting in an endless line. It might even make the pizza taste better! (No disrespect to the OG!》 The olive oil cake is amazing so take it to go if stuffed. You will thank yourself later. The service was great and we so enjoyed the whole experience. The establisment and restrooms were very clean and there is ample off street parking. We will be coming back.

Mozzarella & Tomato Sauce Pie. My "passenger" for the ride home.

Heading home along I-95N on a business trip, I was craving some New Haven style pizza. Unfortunately, the downtown New Haven restaurant was closed. So, I pulled over and looked online and saw there was a Sally's Apizza in Fairfield which was open. I ordered online and arrived at Sally's Apizza in Fairfield just as my pizza came out of the oven. I put the pizza box on the passenger seat and enjoyed it on the way home. The crust is perfectly crisp so you can eat this on the go. No issues with cheese/grease sliding off into your lap. Additional notes: 1. If you're looking for New York style pizza, then this is NOT the place for you. 2. The carry out service counter is a separate section of the restaurant. So, I did not check out the dining area.

Mushrooms and onions

I'm addicted to Sally's Calabrian stinger pizza and decided to come here instead of going to Stamford because of the difficulty in finding parking. This place delivered! We also tried another pie with mushrooms and onions, and that was great too! Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was a good dinner spot on a Monday night!

Wow! Loved our pizza with half mushrooms

Like many other reviewers, I found myself craving pizza on a trip down I-95, only to find a super long line at all of the main spots in New Haven. Then I spotted this location of Sally's in Fairfield - it did not disappoint! I ordered my pizza online to pick up at the store and it was ready right on time! Unfortunately, there is no outdoor seating at the restaurant (it was very spacious and not busy inside on a weekday). We had our pizza on the sidewalk in the shopping plaza and it was delicious! The cheese and sauce were top notch! The crust would have been 100% perfect were it not blackened and charred in some places. However, I am guessing that that process was necessary to make the rest of the crust crispy and full of flavor. All in all I was really happy and would gladly try this or another Sally's location!

Second Sally's I've been to. The only entrance is in the back with the parking structure. Which is bizarre as it hugs the sidewalk and highly visible. Great pizza, but this location left the pizza in a few seconds too long. I love well done crust, but this was a smidge burnt. Delicious none the less.

Can't go wrong with half regular tomato pie and half onion w/ pepperoni!

Food: Sally's may be my favorite pizza place in CT if not ever! Get the onion and pepperoni on a tomato pie! Service: Great service! Ambiance: The new haven location is more quaint with a hole in the wall vibe, but the Stamford location definitely feels new and hoppin!

This was our first time eating here and I loved it. We ordered a large pizza pie. Half cheese and half pepperoni. The pizza was delicious. I loved the crust and sauce. We also ordered an appetizer, the mozzarella sticks. They were nice and crispy and the sauce was perfect. We will definitely be back for other options. The service was excellent, the waitress was very nice and had a great attitude.

I want to start off by saying that I love Sally's. I was hopeful that the parking situation would be less confusing and I was sorely disappointed. However, once inside, I was greeted warmly and our server was great. Something that makes this location special is their lunch specials. For $15.75, we got a small pizza and unlimited fountain soda. It's all pizzas! They also have sandwiches on there too and other great items on their full menu. The restaurant is spacious and seating is comfortable. The pizza had the same Sally's taste with that delicious tomato sauce. I'll definitely be back to this location.

Fried Mozz

Recently checked out the FFLD location of Sally's. My fiancé surprised me and chose it because they have things other than just pizza and salad at this location. We ended up going around 8 (had resos). It was a Fri night and this place was very dead which was a little weird. Anyways... we started with their fried mozz. Delicious! Crispy! Light! And came with a vodka sauce. None of the entrees looked appealing so I opted for the firebird pizza and my fiancé his normal plain Jane cheese pizza. My pizza was tasty and he enjoyed his as well. I do have to say our server was fantastic! And staff so friendly here!

Such a cute little spot in downtown Fairfield by the theatre. I just snagged a drink one afternoon…read morewhile walking around but I absolutely loved the feel of the space. I wasn't hungry but the menu looked delicious and my drink was excellent. "Like whippets, they dance in a curly-queue dance Of pulses…read moreand ringing and campfire chants Birds of a feather are flocking outside" (Phish) There are so many nice restaurants in Fairfield, picking one for lunch can be a formidable task. But because it was so cold today, we picked one close to the train station for our lunch for three, and it turned out to be a great choice after our meal at Ryebird. Their website describes Ryebird as "A Neighborhood joint where friends and family meet" and that seems pretty much spot-on. The bar is gorgeous, the dining room is beautifully decorated with red painted walls, dark distressed wood tables, and stainless-steel colored chairs. The service was great, I mean outstanding. Our server Leo was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We had a few conversations with Manager Thomas who was very charming and a real joy to talk with. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet! OK, here we go! Our party of three went with a small Chicken Soup for The Soul with Cheesy Bread ($14) for me. What's Cheesy Bread? Well, how about three toasted pieces of gooey pizza bread topped with a feta spread and olive oil. My brother-in-law went with their Daily Pot Pie ($23 for Chicken today), with a house-made buttery crust, scratch-made filling, and an added $4 up-charge for a gravy boat full of mushroom bourbon gravy. My wife went with a Roaster sandwich ($18) of pulled chicken, cheddar, BBQ sauce, pickled onion, on a baguette served with fries. We also had an order of Lemon Chili Zucchini ($9) for the table. The food was wonderful, as both the pot pie and the sandwich were devoured. My soup was a pretty big bowl for a "Small" but was loaded with more carrots and celery than chicken. I asked our server Leo if they had any hot sauce, and he asked me how hot did I want it? Ryebird has a few different types in increasing levels of hotness. I asked for the max, and he brought out a little ramekin of some of the hottest hot sauce I ever had. It was pretty much at my upper level of tolerance. I chatted about it with the restaurant manager on the way out, and he was pretty sure it was made with Ghost Peppers, so that explained my thermonuclear mouth numbing reaction. Anyway, we loved our visit to Ryebird. Their food is reasonably priced, portions are generous, the quality is high, and the service is exceptional. What more do you want in a Fairfield County lunch?

Drinks first: my slightly dirty martini was made exactly right. My friend went with cosmo and it was equally on point. Whoever is behind that bar has their act together. Then the food happened. We started with grilled bread with an EVOO, agave, and chile dip -- sounds simple, ate like a statement. The char on the bread, the heat and sweetness of that dip. Good sign of things to come. Main event: shrimp and grits. Guinea flint grits, spicy red sauce, sage, stock. I don't say this lightly -- this is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. The grits were creamy and rich, the sauce had real depth and heat, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The whole bowl just worked on every level. Dessert: goat cheesecake with pistachio dust and berry compote. Tangy, creamy, not too sweet, and that pistachio dust on top was a perfect finish. We cleared the plate.

The menu is some what tied into the Puglia region, which is the heel of the boot. I could tell the italian dialect from the owner when he was speaking to one of the staff, it immediately gave me a good feeling that this restaurant would be really good. The appetizers we had were all really good, we had the fried calamari, the grilled Octopusss, the fried zucchini flowers and thd hummus special. Sorry no pics of these. We had a couple of the Orrechiette Barese, Chicken parmigiana, a pasta special of fettuccine with shrimp in a cream and pesto sauce, another pasta with cavatelli, shrimp and cream and pesto sauce, really couldn't see the pesto, probably could have used a little more or maybe a little finishing with the pesto on top. Service was good and the owner came around to introduce himself and we got a complimentary round of their homemade creama di limencello to finish off the experience.
