My Massage Therapist, that Tranquility day Spa was raising about this place and a specialty salad they had on the menu, at the end of my session I asked her to order it for me so I could pick it up. Lol. She said sure. They have seating & a server although I would say unless it's casual or you're taking a bunch of kids I'd prefer takeout. The salad was great. The portion for the price was great. I will definitely be trying more items off the menu. Certain things I would eat there. Certain things like the salad I would get to go. I ordered the chicken on the side, it's good size and wanted left overs, also didn't want the salad to get soggy. The dressing was great. The bread to die for! The establishment was clean and there is plenty of seating. read more

5 stars for the pizza 5 stars for the food caterin -10 stars for the drink truck. They served a corporate event 2 years in a row and they were never prepared. The beer was never ready and alwsys warm. The servers were nasty when anyone complained. You could have great food but a few bad spples could ruin it all for you. Sawp out your drink crew. read more

I got a chicken Caesar salad wrap and it wasn't good. Sadly, the chicken strips in the wrap were thin and over cooked. The chicken was dry and ruined the wrap in my opinion. We also got the Philly cheesesteak wrap and it was very oily. The curly fries were delicious and crispy! You can order online and get fast delivery so that was a plus! read more

My sister wanted pizza (dine in) so we decided to try this spot. The food was okay I wasn't the biggest fan but I would try a different type of pizza next time or other items. I will say the girl that took our order at the desk was kind of rude and definitely not welcoming. It was kind of off putting but I won't deter from giving this place another try. read more

Recently checked out silver sands for a low key Friday date night. They do have a small seating area inside. We ordered garlic bites to start out with which is basically like a garlic bread pizza with cheese. Our waitress brought out some garlic knots first and we were a little confused but she said they were complimentary. They were good and had a parsley or basil oil on them. My fiancé ordered...you guessed it cheese pizza and I opted for the silver sands special grinder which was cutlet bacon lettuce and tomato and ranch. I opted to not have cheese on mine and asked for ranch on side but it came on it. But it was a very tasty well executed grinder. Chicken was crispy and so was the bacon. Shredded lettuce and tomato were good and ranch wasn't a whole lot which was great. All in all enjoyed our meal here and will keep in mind for future causal date nights. read more

The food is very good. There are lots of menu options. Delivery takes too long though.

I went there with my elderly mother at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night to get two or three cheese slices of pizza. They only had buffalo chicken and spicy chicken available that was left over from the day shift and they refused to make a cheese pizza. We walked out without being serviced. read more

I finally tried this place out. Went during the week for takeout. Very friendly and helpful staff for the most part. Had some issue with my form of payment which took longer to fix but it came out OK. Smallish place, the inside has some tables for dining in and it looks clean. I had a mozzarella pizza, it was quite good, nice flavor and crust was tasty. I can't wait to try more of the menu, which is pretty big. Parking seems adequate. Check it out. read more

My family and I went into Silversands Pizza to dine a few weeks ago and the pizza was nice and crispy. We ordered the calamari as well but you could tell it was frozen and not fresh, not good at all. Tonight we ordered delivery and waited over an hour and our pizza was ice cold. So not the crispy pizza we were hoping for when we dined in. Wings were also not good, soggy and not crispy. I guess I would say dine in if you want a better pizza but definitely don't order delivery. read more

Went to a fair and their food truck was there. I was always curious about their pizza because they took over the location in Wallingford which used to be Primo Pizza. Their pizza is competent, but not particularly noteworthy. If you want pizza and these guys are in your area, you could do worse, but if you're near Fairfield, I easily recommend Primo over this place (it's the last Primo location still in operation). read more

Silver Sands has jumped on the bandwagon of charging extra if you order over the Internet that so many restaurants are doing. That's a sneaky way to make a couple extra bucks on every phone order. I was a loyal customer, but I won't order from there in the future. read more

My kid said thumbs up for the pizza, over all great pizza very amazing. Would recommend 100%

Very poor delivery experience tonight. I ordered 2 pizzas and wings. They brought a plain cheese pizza instead of the specialty pizza I had ordered and I was charged for the specialty. And they charged a higher price for the specialty than it should have been. I order from here a couple times a month and usually don't have issues. So I called to see if they could refund the difference between the specialty and the plain cheese. They said they couldn't do that but would send another pizza out. So the other pizza arrives and it's still not correct! Possibly the worst part was how terribly the pizza was cut. I've never seen it cut that bad and can only be left thinking that it was intentional. I really didn't even want them to send the other pizza but when I was asked on the spot whether I wanted another pizza or if I wanted to just eat the extra money that I paid, I told them to send the pizza. read more

Let me start off by saying that there are several really good pizzas in the area. This review is not about which pizza is more popular. This is about Silver Sands Pizza. While they are not the 3 famous New Haven pies, they are our local, regular go-to for consistently good pizza that delivers. The pizza is very good (you just have to order it Extra Extra well done, and repeat it again, to get some char on it, lol). It has a tasty sauce, a balanced sauce to cheese ratio, and a decent chew on the crust. However, the hidden gem (or maybe not so hidden anymore) in this place their gyro...Wow! Get it! (I can only comment on the gyro from the SS Pizza location on Bridgeport Ave, not the gyro takeout place they recently opened up the street). They didn't skimp on the size of the gyro. The meat is perfectly seasoned and tender, the pita bread has a good char on it, the vege toppings (L, T, O) are fresh (the tomatoes are not mealy), and the tzatziki is delicious. Overall, delivery time is as expected (30-40 mins on a rainy friday night), and the drivers are very nice. Definitely recommend. read more

Poor service. Does not take 30 mins to make 6 wings. Multiple orders messed up. Real Italian food is in New Haven

The garlic knots were incredibly old they were freezing cold and so tough I couldn't bite into it but somehow burnt on the top.the jalapeño poppers were FREEZing cold in the middle and not even melted inside and the filling was gritty as well. We also ordered a large garlic pizza that had barely any sauce on it. The manager argued with me about giving me a refund for the poppers and garlic knots but then agreed to do so after a long time arguing.we threw all the food in the trash!!!the few bites of the food that I took made me feel sick to my stomach. read more

I was really impressed by my take out here. First off the rolls that came with all of our food were so soft and fresh! I wanted garlic knots but they were sold out so I got garlic bites, it resembled a cheesy garlic bread flat bread pizza with marinara sauce. Really great! I also got the chicken soulvaki salad, really fresh and tasty with a decent chicken portion. It came with tzatziki sauce. I wish it came with a dressing too because tzatziki sauce is so thick that it doesn't coat the salad. Still really good! My boyfriend got the hot honey pizza, it was good with a strong honey flavor, thin pizza. I also got Italian wedding soup. I would totally order from here again! Great quality and was ready super fast with friendly service. Yum yum yum. read more

A couple of Saturdays ago I took my granddaughters to the Trumbull Arts Festival. It was a dreary day and we were getting hungry. There were only a couple of food trucks and one was Silver Sands Pizza. I wasn't going to get it from them but the girls wouldn't budge so we ordered two pies; one pepperoni and one half mushroom. Since they use a brick oven the pizzas were done fairly quickly. I need to say I have never been a big thin crust fan. I usually like my crust like I like my men, dense. Needless to say, I was blown away. The crust was really thin but not in a bad way and certainly not what I expected. It had a wonderful texture and flavor. The sauce was great too and although I almost always get extra cheese. I didn't this time and honestly, I was perfectly happy with the amount that they put on them. Too much cheese might have ruined the whole experience. I am looking forward to the next time I see that truck! Johanna read more

Silver Sands Pizza - Left overs - Pizza Near Me - Milford, Connecticut

This place used to be decent but after my last couple experiences I will never be back. Last time I ordered a pizza, it was so soggy that it was literally dripping wet like it had been through a car wash and couldn't even be hand held. Thinking that one bad experience was a fluke, I tried to give them a second chance and simply ordered a sandwich and some garlic knots. I arrived 30 minutes after placing the order that they said would take 20 minutes, and was told they needed 5 more minutes. After waiting 15, they said "1-2 more minutes." Meanwhile I was the only customer waiting in a nearly empty restaurant. After another 5 minutes had passed, I just said forget it and insisted on a refund, and left without my food. How do you see that one customer is literally standing there waiting for 20 minutes and not prioritize their order that would take 5 minutes to make? Was a waste of 30 minutes of my life, but at least I learned not to go back! read more

This place has gone down the tubes!! Ordered chicken florentine, the chicken looked & tasted boiled, put on top of pasta, extremely bland & the sauce tasted like chicken broth! also order a pizza with everything on it, was completely soggy, couldn't even eat it! Penne alla vodka hardly had any taste! Threw everything in the garbage!! And will never be returning! There's so many BETTER Italian places around! read more

We were excited to try Silver Sands at the new location today on Bridgeport Avenue when our go-to Papa's Appiza II was running late. Huge mistake! Their pizza was basically Stouffer's French Bread Pizza meets Prego. Strangely off tasting. The hostess could not be bothered and was too busy on her cell phone to speak to us.
