    Bacon pizza

My sister wanted pizza (dine in) so we decided to try this spot. The food was okay I wasn't the biggest fan but I would try a different type of pizza next time or other items. I will say the girl that took our order at the desk was kind of rude and definitely not welcoming. It was kind of off putting but I won't deter from giving this place another try.

Recently checked out silver sands for a low key Friday date night. They do have a small seating area inside. We ordered garlic bites to start out with which is basically like a garlic bread pizza with cheese. Our waitress brought out some garlic knots first and we were a little confused but she said they were complimentary. They were good and had a parsley or basil oil on them. My fiancé ordered...you guessed it cheese pizza and I opted for the silver sands special grinder which was cutlet bacon lettuce and tomato and ranch. I opted to not have cheese on mine and asked for ranch on side but it came on it. But it was a very tasty well executed grinder. Chicken was crispy and so was the bacon. Shredded lettuce and tomato were good and ranch wasn't a whole lot which was great. All in all enjoyed our meal here and will keep in mind for future causal date nights.

Went to a fair and their food truck was there. I was always curious about their pizza because they took over the location in Wallingford which used to be Primo Pizza. Their pizza is competent, but not particularly noteworthy. If you want pizza and these guys are in your area, you could do worse, but if you're near Fairfield, I easily recommend Primo over this place (it's the last Primo location still in operation).

Silver Sands has jumped on the bandwagon of charging extra if you order over the Internet that so many restaurants are doing. That's a sneaky way to make a couple extra bucks on every phone order. I was a loyal customer, but I won't order from there in the future.

The garlic knots were incredibly old they were freezing cold and so tough I couldn't bite into it but somehow burnt on the top.the jalapeño poppers were FREEZing cold in the middle and not even melted inside and the filling was gritty as well. We also ordered a large garlic pizza that had barely any sauce on it. The manager argued with me about giving me a refund for the poppers and garlic knots but then agreed to do so after a long time arguing.we threw all the food in the trash!!!the few bites of the food that I took made me feel sick to my stomach.

The food is very good. There are lots of menu options. Delivery takes too long though.

8 Thousand Pizza is a pizzeria and pour-your-own taproom that opened in Milford, Connecticut in…read moreNovember 2023. It was founded by restaurateurs Skye Kwok and Tommy Nguyen. Kwok has more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry. Some of the other restaurants he has opened include Sweet Basil in Fairfield, Pink Sumo Sushi & Sake Cafe in Westport, and Eat Noodle in Bridgeport. Kwok and Nguyen's latest venture opened at the Connecticut Post Mall in a restaurant space that was previously home to Cast Iron Chef Kitchen & Bar, which specialized in tavern-style pizzas cooked in a cast-iron skillet. 8 Thousand Pizza offers this same style of pizza, but what sets them apart from the previous pizzeria is that they also offer self-pouring technology, which became legalized in Connecticut in 2021. The food menu features two dozen tavern-style pizzas as well as burgers, wings, fries, salads and soups. Through the use of a supplied electronic bracelet, customers can self-pour their own beverage from a selection of 28 craft beer taps and 6 wine taps. There's a two-pint or 32-ounce limit for the self-pours. I recently visited 8 Thousand Pizza for dinner. I had previously visited the space when it was Cast Iron Chef Kitchen & Bar and was sad to hear that they moved. However, this new business concept of a tavern-style pizzeria with self-pouring taps sounded very interesting to me. This was actually my first visit to a self-pouring taproom, as these types of establishments only just began opening in the state in the last few years. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Grandma's Tomato Pizza" (fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, roasted garlic, tomatoes and EVOO) and the "Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza" (tomato sauce, pepperoni, hot honey sauce and mozzarella cheese). The latter happens to be 8 Thousand's signature pizza. Both pizzas had crust so thin that it's almost cracker like; they didn't flop at all. They were super crispy with excellent sauce and toppings. I honestly can't decide which one I liked better; they were both very good. During my visit, I enjoyed some self-pours of Grey Sail Brewing's "Captain's Daughter" (Double New England IPA) and New Park Brewing's "Cloudscape" (American IPA). Delicious pizza with craft beer is always an excellent pairing! I had a really nice experience at 8 Thousand Pizza and I hope to return with my family.

Paying by the ounce. Service was nice and attentive. But you have to go up to the counter to order. Many of the betas were out or empty. I did like that. They had a wide selection of glasses available for the different styles of beer.

The best kept secret for the most authentic, deliciously seasoned and best Mexican food in Milford!…read moreThey are some of the kindest people I've met and they truly put a ton of TLC into the dishes they make. They offer many great combinations for pizzas but the real MVP here is the Mexican dishes they offer. If you know what mole is, then you know. They make the absolute best mole enchiladas I've had (and we have had a bunch). My boyfriend is half Mexican, so I am very particular with getting it when out and about but Pancho's is hands down THE BEST! Also their tacos are to die for!! Definitely check them out, you won't regret it!!

Don't let the name fool you. Sure, Panchos Pizza makes a good pizza, burgers, grinders, pasta…read moredishes and more, but the Mexican food here is the star. It more than competes with any of the upscale Mexican restaurants in the area, and the prices are very reasonable. I've been ordering take out from here since they opened, and the quality has remained very high. Today I ordered The Chicken Enchilada dinner. They give you four enchiladas smothered in cheese and salsa verde, a small salad, and an order of rice and beans, and three kinds of salsas, all for under $14.00! No other restaurant that I know of gives you such an abundance of great Mexican food for that price. I also ordered a small Nachos Con Queso, which was also generously proportioned and delicious. I am pretty particular when it comes to Mexican food. I've had some of the best, having lived in New Mexico for three years. Panchos is as good as the best the Southwest has to offer. It's not "Americanized" Mexican fare, but remains authentically true to it's roots. I heartily recommend you give it a try some night if you like authentic Mexican food, for selfish reasons: I don't want to see them go away. Don't let their location fool you, a small, unassuming shopping center on Route 1 in Milford.
