I've been craving Beck's Kirby Salad and decided to make a trip to Katy to treat myself. I went through the drive through and ordered the salad with cheddar cheese instead of blue cheese. My husband told me to check my order once we got it and I decided not to. When we got home (20 mins away), I took my salad out and was extremely disappointed to not have any cheese at all. What a bummer! I checked my receipt and saw that the substitution was on the receipt, although not very clear so I can see why it was overlooked by the kitchen. I drive by Beck's Prime frequently and it smells great, so finally stopped for lunch. Once inside, it smells even better. You wait in line to place your order, then find your seat. The server brings your meal when it's ready. The menu has plenty of options with about a dozen different types of burgers and sandwiches, plenty of salads, along with steaks and chicken. The line was about 15 minutes, so it gave me plenty of time to work through the options. The Pork Banh Mi jumped out at me, so I went for it with a side of fries and a drink. The meal was just under $20, which I feel is pretty steep. I found a table and waited until my meal arrived. For those that have had Pork Banh Mi, this was the burger version, which was very unique. I'm a big fan of the flavors of a typical Banh Mi, but don't prefer the typical bread. Beck's Prime serves the sandwich on a hamburger bun. The meat is a single slab of pork with great flavor. Overall, the sandwich is very good and the fries are tasty. Although my meal was good, it didn't live up to the nearly $20 pricing for the meal, so I'll have to take it down a star. read more

The food is great, no doubt! Burgers are really good using high quality meat. Ingredients are all super fresh. One drawback is the price. I wish the prices were a little lower. I would definitely go here more often if their prices weren't so high. The service was great too! I like that you don't have a server so you're not having to pay tip. The new Becks Prime in Katy is a great place to get a good burger. Their menu is larger than their Dairy Ashford location so you can find something for almost anyone. Also included at this location is a full bar. I ordered a variety of things so I will post my reviews of each below Fried Pickles: Most places ruin fried pickles with too much batter, but NOT HERE! Light, crispy batter covers the thins slivers of pickles. Definitely worth the try. Their Prime sauce adds a little tangy flavor to the tart taste of the pickle. I ate half of the basket myself. Hickory Burger: I got this burger because it is simple, yet elegant. The patty is hand made and grilled over Hickory wood giving it that extra flavor that most burgers lack. Your choice of cheese, hickory barbecue sauce, and the tastey Becks Prime patty completes this delicious experience. The burger was gone in one large inhale. So good and worth the try. Sweet Potato Fries: Thick cut sweet potato fries with a little sea salt on top makes this an attraction to me. I love sweet potato fries, but many people make them too small and/or burn them. Becks Prime has delicious sweet potato fries and they offer them in a full pound of you would like. Give them a try if you are tired of the standard fries. Onion Rings: Becks Prime onion rings are large and in charge. The ones I received were large and delicious. Thick cuts of onion covered in a tasty batter. Add some ketchup and I am in heaven. They offer malts here as well and they are very sweet and addicting. You may drink the malt instead of your normal beverage and if you are not careful, it will take the place of your meal. I thoroughly enjoyed the service at this location. The owner/manager was there speaking with customers and it was a great way to put a face to the name and location. The entire place was very clean and would be a great location for an after church lunch. I recommend giving it a try if you have never been to Becks Prime. If you have been before, give this new location a try, you won't regret it. read more

Yesterday my wife and 2 grandchildren came for lunch. I have to say how professional they were with regards to the requirements for mask when you walk-in, and when we asked for booster seats each was cleaned individually with whites to make sure they are very clean. As we try to get more and more following the craziness of coronavirus, we really felt safe ourselves coming here to eat, and more importantly to bring our grandchildren. We LOVE Becks but this time we were so disappointed. The truffle fries tasted old, I asked for lettuce instead of a bun on my burger and got AMAZING, fresh, crispy iceberg lettuce but they didn't wrap around my burger just slapped half a head of lettuce on a plate and threw the burger in between it. They didn't even serve it the same as everyone else's burger with a wrapper to make it easy to pick up. WTH?!? The fried pickles were flavorless and the crispy batter tasted like fried flour. My friend and I ordered at the same time, he got burger with fries, and I got the BLT. His order arrived 20 minutes before mine. They clearly forgot to put it in, but said that it "had just been sitting out." Which is actually a pretty bad excuse. The Burger looked good, but the BLT was utterly disappointing. The bacon and bun just aren't the types you use for this. If you want like 7 pieces of very thin microwaveable crunchy bacon with a huge buttered hamburger bun, then get the BLT at Beck's Prime Was going to go back and order more food because I was still hungry, but then I remembered already spent $15 too many at this establishment. Waited in drive through for 20 minutes behind one car. I ordered a sandwich and spinach dip. When I checked my bag before pulling away, noticed that there were no chips for the dip. Surely they didn't expect me to "dip" my fingers or to drink as a soup? Upon asking the drive thru window clerk where the chips were, he informed me that I'd have to pay extra for chips...??? I could not believe it. I've never ordered a dip before from a dining establishment that did not come with chips. And if this is how Becks runs its business, why not ask if I'd like to add chips to my dip for an extra $3.25 upon placing my order? I've never been to Beck's before and this was a disappointing experience. I rarely eat fast food on the run, but I'm a pregnant woman fighting a battle with sudden hunger pangs. If these pregnancy hormones ever drive me to pick up fast food on the road again, I'll do as a previous reviewer suggested and try out Whataburger. PS...the container of spinach dip was only half full. Not a gram over halfway full. And fries not included with the $12.25 sandwich. First, let me start off by saying that Becks Prime has long since been one of my favorite places to get a great burger, so I was very excited when my wife and daughters told me they were taking me there for a Father's Day lunch. They had never been to a BP, so I was really hoping they would like it as much as I do. I have to say the entire experience was pretty bad!? The young lady that helped bring the burgers to our table was very nice, however, the kitchen got my daughter's simple order of a bacon cheeseburger wrong 3 times! My fries were burnt and and even though the cashier explained that all of their burgers come cooked medium unless otherwise requested - 2 of the 3 burgers we ordered were overcooked and the meat patties were stiff and under-seasoned). To make things worse, the buns were cold! One of my daughters ordered a grilled chicken breast with veggies because she is on a restrictive meal program, and ironically, that was about the only thing that was done right except for the fact that her portion was super small and she was left feeling hungry. Overall, we were very disappointed with the experience. I had high hopes for this location which is the closest to were we live in Katy. Unfortunately, I doubt we will be back. To be fair, I think they are still trying to find their rhythm since it has just recently opened, but that was little comfort after spending $65 on a lunch that left lots to be desired...! read more

Vendor took us to Beck's Prime for lunch last week at the new Katy location. It's been a while I haven't been to a Beck's Prime, last one I went to was in downtown Houston; when I used to work in downtown. The burgers are still as delicious as I remember. I had the "California" burger with Swiss cheese and guacamole; it melts in your mouth. Very delicious and juicy. You can taste that mesquite grilled flavor in the meat, like they say "grilled to perfection". Their homemade buns are very soft and delicious as well. Not too mention the sweet potato fries and shakes. My colleagues had their California Chicken sandwich, the grilled chicken patty was moist and delicious as well. I will definitely be back to this location. Appears like a good spot to catch a game as well, they have some big screen TVs on the walls as well. I do agree with others about the price, a little on the pricey side for a drink, burger and fries, you looking at $15+ per person. read more

Just tried Beck Prime today, the first time I've ever been in a Becks Prime restaurant. The location itself is really nice. Brand new of course and spotlessly clean. I tried the 'Kitchen Sink' and added the grilled veggie side. The food was good, The 'Kitchen Sink' was tasty, the onions a little cold but in general it was good. The grilled veggies were good too. The thing that knocks the stars off is the price. The Kitchen Sink was $12.75, the grilled veggie side was $6.25. After tax it's a $20 meal. It's just far far too expensive for what you get. It's never a $20 meal. You could head across to Lupe Tortilla on Grand Parkway and have a similar meal at lunchtime for well under $15. I'll be back every now and then, but with so many more good and cost effective options around the Katy area this is far too expensive for a regular lunch option. read more

My burger was cold and loaded with only mustard, when I asked for both mustard and mayo. One of my son's had same problem, cold burger. Our fries were cold as well. I could've gotten a better burger at one of the local fast food burger places for 1/3 of the price, and they know the difference between mayonnaise and mustard. C'mon Becks I expect more. Beck's Prime still makes one of the best mesquite burgers in Katy. I leave off the cheese and add bacon. The hot dog is also very good. Often my wife and I will order both, cut them in half and share. Recalling that Texas Monthly had it as one of the top 10 burgers. It has not changed. Yum. read more

I had the cheeseburger cooked medium well and the regular fries. It was really good but definitely too much to eat. I couldn't finish it. They offer free refills which is good! Definitely a nice place to hang out and chill with your friends while eating a burger. The wait isn't bad at all. What is going on at Beck's Prime? I called in for 3 meals. I should have known that something was wrong when I was told that 3 full meal costing over $48 would be ready in 12 to 14 minutes. I refused to listen to what my gut was telling me. I came in at about 12 minutes after my call and my order was ready. My first shock was the box of fries. The fries were not up to par with most fast food places, not to talk of Beck's Prime standard. I was willing to let it go. I thought the burger was going to compensate for the sub standard fries. Having mixed feelings on this review: on the positive side, the food is good/great in regards to quality and taste. But on the service side this location is lacking.
