I rented a unit online on a Sunday, completed the lease, and uploaded my driver's license--just as required. The next day, I called to get more information, and the person I spoke to (relief manager Jackie) was immediately rude and dismissive, as if I was bothering her. I explained that I live over an hour and a half away and that the office hours don't work with my job schedule, so I wouldn't be able to come in before moving my items. I asked if I could move in Monday and stop by the office on Saturday when I was finished. Instead of trying to help or offer a solution, Jackie raised her voice, got condescending, and told me I was "more than welcome to go somewhere else closer to where I live." I was shocked. This is a storage facility--people often move from out of town. Her tone and attitude were completely uncalled for and unprofessional. The next day, the manager called me, equally snarky, and told me they had reviewed the call and decided to cancel my rental and refund my money since "it just doesn't work for you." No attempt to resolve, no apology, just a very smug, condescending tone as if I was the problem for simply asking a basic question and needing flexibility. When I asked for the manager's name and the regional or corporate contact info, she refused and then hung up on me. I called another nearby location just to try to get the regional manager's contact info, and was told they'd pass along my message. I never heard back. This location clearly does not care about customer service or doing what's right. The staff are rude, unprofessional, and make it very clear they pick and choose who they want renting at their facility based on personal attitude--not policies or procedures. They will hang up on you, talk down to you, and dodge accountability if you try to escalate the issue. If this is how they treat someone before they've even moved in, imagine how they handle real problems once your stuff is inside. I cannot recommend this facility to anyone. If you care about professionalism, safety, or being treated with basic human respect, rent somewhere else.
