I clarified with the employee yesterday if they were open until 2pm and he said yes. I showed up about 1pm and the place was closed. I called the number and it forwarded me to representatives, not onsite. The first representative confirmed that due to Easter Sunday the place closed at 1pm! That infuriated me considering 1:) it's Easter Sunday and 2:) I confirmed with the guy, not once, but twice of them being open to drop off anytime before 2pm!!! As I was waiting for the representative to get a manager on the phone, the call was transferred to another representative, which forced me to have to re-explain the situation! The 2nd representative tried to assist me to drop off at an alternate location or to leave the dolly outside the gate. The representative could not confirm for me that if I left the dolly there that I would be released of any liability if it got stolen outside the gate. What customer in their right mind would leave it if they would still be held accountable for an equipment worth a couple of hundreds of dollars. At this point, I'm already furious by being in this situation and to add to it, had been on the phone for about, if not over 40 minutes just to wait and see if they can get a manager on the phone, only for them to tell me that all the managers aren't in on Sundays! Now inconvenienced to have to come back to the location the following day to return, and have to take some time off in the morning from work because I have to be at work at 8am and of course they aren't open until 8am. ABSOLUTELY AN ANGRY CUSTOMER!!!!!!

They didn't call me to tell me what happened so I'm there to get something and all they had was a 16 ft'r I needed a 26 ft. I took the 16 and started my move of a 5 bedroom house 3500 sqft. The second day of my move I go to put fuel in the tank and gas pours all over my wife and I due to those vandals tried to take gas from this truck but for some reason didn't but left the hose to the fuel tank unconnected so we got gassed out. I fixed the hose with the help of my friend. So another issue rom this location that should have been inspected but wasn't. Needless to say I was very upset. On my return to the drop off location I met with a wonderful lady who runs the place a feed and tackle place on Florida st in Hemet. I feel bad because I forget her name but she was great she got my money reimbursed and was supper kind. If you are going to rent from Penske go to her she is the best!

I chose U-Haul because of the brand and I thought it could be trusted and reliable for my storage…read moreneeds. Instead I've dealt with erroneous information, late notice letters, site manager not returning any of my calls, and even a prelien notice although my form of payment was on file for autopay (they had systems issues). This all took place in less than a month. I have many options of storage in the area. Price was not a factor but brand trust and servwas. I have since moved out and would never choose or recommend U-Haul for storage to anyone! When Carolina, the site manager at the location on Jefferson Avenue in Murrieta Ca, finally bothered herself to get on a call with me, she showed no empathy for the mistakes made. I asked her to ensure a letter in writing is mailed that the pre-lien notice was sent in error and my account is up to date. All I got was a billing statement with a zero balance. If your system can bother me with erroneous pre lien notices you can bother yourself with sending me the same written notice it's an error and is resolved. I had hoped to get that in writing since I wasted more of my time writing a review on their business site. Nope! I moved out the same day that I finally got to speak with Carolina primarily for her lack of care or concern. If she would have apologized and assured me that I would have no further troubles with their system not charging my autopay, I might have given them a chance. However, she did not even bother to care when I mentioned I would most likely move out due to all the issues in less than 3 weeks. I moved out same day and still was not able to get any letter of apology or statement that my account was paid in full, moved out, and no lien was placed- even though I was told their EA-- whatever that is- would email me. Throughout this ordeal the staff was kind, courteous and showed more concern than the site manager- it appears they're used to making up for system, corporate, and management issues. This review, and google review were my next options and more importantly word of mouth! To help an interested party be aware of getting in contract with U-Haul for storage on Jefferson. You lost a great customer. And I really doubt you care since that's all I've gotten since I moved in- and out; lack of concern, no reliability & can't be trusted system. No thanks! Got better things to do than deal with a business
