I stopped by Bean Scene Cafe on a Sunday around 10:30am. I was surprised to find it was the only coffee shop on Murphy Ave. that was open at the time, but hey, worked out in their favor. Customer service was great. Nice employees and prompt service. I ordered an iced dirty chai latte and a baked item. My drink was exactly what I expected and hit the spot. I don't recall the name of the brownie I got, but it had marshmallow fluff and chocolate and was fantastic. read more

Espresso in the latte and mocha was weak. Felt like I paid $6 for hot milk. Points for quick service and decent indoor seating. Ambiance just okay. Not a great place for people who want to enjoy their morning coffee without loud babies. read more

Cozy spot to stop in for coffee and hang out. Good amount of seating inside and also outside on the street (which is blocked off). You can tell there's regulars that come in which I love! There's a pretty big menu for coffee, other drinks, and food. We ordered the island latte and almond joy latte. Both had good flavor and are on the sweeter side. Servers are kind and friendly. A breath of fresh air if you are tired of the same old chain store stuff. The atmosphere is warm and eclectic in terms of decor and people. I ordered a small latte, not a cappucino. The foam was too fluffy, there was too much of it, and the milk was too hot. The wand is supposed to be inserted below the surface for a few seconds to start the foam, but then inserted more deeply to create a vortex to mix the foam with the milk. Bean Scene is hands down one of the most amazing cafes I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The drinks are great especially the iced caramel macchiatos! I only ever see one barista working most of the time and they do a great job of balancing customers to make sure everyone gets their order! Very friendly staff and very great drinks. Bean Scene has such an inviting atmosphere and is such a nice place to read, be creative, have a date, and enjoy yourself for a moment. Would love to see more food options! There are 2 coffee houses in Murphy Square - Bean Scene Café and Coffee & More. Initially, I went to both equally but now Bean Scene Café is my preferred spot because not only do they have great coffee & food, but they are environmentally aware enough to serve drinks in ceramic mugs and cups. Of course, they will put your drinks in paper cup as well. I have always believed that taking coffee in ceramic cups improve the flavor. Perhaps it is just my imagination, but at the very least I feel better not wasting a paper cup. If you come early on Monday mornings, you will probably see the Mayor of Sunnyvale holding court. He probably has a favorite table but he does not seem to have a designated spot, as I have seen him meeting constituents inside and in the outdoor tables. read more

We dropped in to get a warm drink and get out of the wind. We got a double espresso and an oat milk hot chocolate. Service was prompt and friendly and the drinks came out quickly. The espresso was really awful, like worse than Starbucks bad. Bitter, and an ashy aftertaste. The oat milk hot chocolate had excellent flavor but it was barely warm. First time trying here and coming back for sure. This place has nice ambiance with great music running in the background. Wish I had spent coffee there in the bean scene but was heading to other loc. I got the Chai Latte with Oat Milk, I drink this latte very often and I'd say better than some other coffee places. I recommend this before you try any other for latte people. The coffee and food here is amazing! I had the aloha latte, and my husband has a black forest mocha. They were both smooth, flavorful, and not too sweet. We loved that if you order to stay at the restaurant, they give you actual coffee mugs. my husband had a breakfast burrito and I had a chicken melt. They were delicious too! The coffee service was very quick. The food took a little longer, but you could tell it was fresh. It was comfortable and bustling on a Saturday morning. Highly recommended! read more

I was in town for work so my friend and I stopped here to get breakfast, coffee, and get a little work done. First, the little street this is on is so cute! Walkable with lots of restaurants and shops. Everyone coming in and out of here gave the vibe they were regulars which I loved. Their menu is large and breakfast wise they will kind of make it however you want. We both got breakfast sandwiches on croissants and they were delicious. Lovely coffee shop located right in the downtown, next to several popular restaurants. Their pastries and coffee are exceptional. Very tasty, and the coffee is well-made and consistent. I can't speak on their food items because I haven't tried any, but I can confidently say their service when it comes to coffee has always been fast and friendly. Got delivery from them. The panini I got had the hardest bread it was like crunching a cracker but it was not supposed to be like that. The insides of the panini were delicious but the bread ruined it. The Nutella banana crepe tastes decent but visually it looks kind of gross! they also added lays chips to my Uber eats order not sure why, I wish they had mentioned that on their profile on the app because I would've un added it, now it's just going to waste. So weird of a place called "bean scene" that sells immunity juices, etc. to add regular lays chips to their paninis like couldn't be more off brand, or maybe their brand is misleading! read more

One of my favorite places to work and have a cup of coffee these days. There are plenty of tables, both indoors and outdoors and I love how they also have a lot of outlets to charge your laptops. The workers are all very friendly and the coffee prices are reasonable. I haven't tried their food options, but I always get their iced coffee and it's a huge cup for a small.
