I was reading some reviews and i honestly DO NOT UNDERSTAND! We came here this weekend and i have to say, hands down our favorite breakfast out that we have had in a while. We had to wait a little bit but the place was extremely busy. When i say a bit we prob only waited about 5 mins. But the very nice young gentleman told us the waiter would be over shortly. Story Time: I came here for Mother's Day. We were quickly seated and given a menu. My 10 year old son chose the place as he wanted to go out for Mothers Day. My son had the kids French Toast eggs and sausage i had the Turkey Croissant Sandwich with fries. No complaints. To wash it down my son had a Shirley Temple and I had some adult drinks which consisted of strawberry and peach Sangria. No complaints. They gave out complimentary donuts which my son and I split. All together this was a great experience with great ambiance. Now let's get to the good part. Upon closing us out the waitress told me that an anonymous couple sitting across from us gave $50 to us use towards the bill. I was actually flabbergasted and shocked as I would have never imagined anything like this happening to me. I wish I had paid more attention to the couple sitting across as I would have loved to personally thank them to treating us. All in all I had to only pay $10 plus I left a tip. I'm new to the area and the Beacons Falls Cafe and the Beacon area is a wonderful place. I would highly recommend. To the couple if you are reading this. Our servers had a couple mistakes (spilled a water on us, gave us an old menu that was no longer served, forgot that we subbed onion rings) but were super nice and apologetic. The lady who saw us walk in just looked at us, didn't say anything so I said "table for three please" and she said there is a two hour wait (mind you there were two empty tables). Our first experience here was awesome. The second was awful. Called in an order on a Monday at 11:30am for 3 paninis. Was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up at the restaurant after 20 minutes and was told it would be another 30 minutes because they had 2 big tables waiting for food. Did you not know this when I placed my order? 50 minute wait for 3 paninis??? And they were not even warm. Cheese not melted. Wanted to like this place as it's close to my home. Tried it a few times and food tastes like subpar diner food. And by subpar at least diners usually have fresh made to order food. What I've eaten here takes like reheated frozen microwaved dishes. I even brought out of town guests here and was embarrassed as they barely touched their food. The food was awesome!! But the service was horrible... To be short the server had an issue with everything we did. Ordering water, lettuce wrapping a burger, substituting items... We came in the morning of the 9/23 and our server was a lady in her late 30s or early 40s and she was extremely rude. She admonished me for having my seat in a passing lane... but they were the ones that placed the seat in that location. The ownership, I'm pretty sure, does not want this establishment represented in this way because the food is amazing. So I would highly recommend addressing this immediately... I really like the food at Beacon Falls Cafe and have been there several times but what disappoints me is how ungreen they are. Half and half in those little containers, butter in plastic, jam in plastic, water given with plastic cups?? Why in this day in age with all our concerns with plastic and things not getting recycled can't you do better. Put the cream in a small pitcher, use glass and not plastic, put butter in a dish and you don't have to give a lot so it isn't wasted. You guys can definitely do better. Solid brunch/breakfast place but frazzled service: 4 for the food and less for the service. We made reservations on a Saturday and needed it, as the interior filled up from 10:30-11. Instead of the traditional bread in the middle of the table, they gave us raisin muffins, which were had a nice crunch on top. It took quite a while to get the attention of the servers, all of whom seemed to flit here and there and seemed quite occupied with other tables, etc. They had a good selection of egg, omelette, and french toast dishes. I had the breakfast sandwich ($8), which had well-cooked and fluffy eggs, cheese, a dash of avocado in a wrap, and tomatoes. I think the sandwich would have worked better not in a wrap and with more avocado in it. It hit the spot. The little cup of home fries had enough spices but tasted slightly bland, not bad though. Everyone else had the star dishes, though: The "grilled cheese" was made with thick bread, strawberries, and cheese; it was served with fruit and syrup but didn't really need the sweet element. The ultimate breakfast sandwich was hearty, with a knife stabbed through it to hold all the elements together. The vegetarian platter was good size (eggs, potatoes, toast, vegetarian sausage); the "sausage" definitely didn't taste meat based. The eggs Benedict also got good reviews. All of these other main dishes were around $12-15. Back to the service: Even though it's a small place, the servers gave off the appearance of being busy, so you didn't really feel like there was much attentiveness. The server also forgot to take my friend's drink order and didn't come around to ask if we needed anything. Given that we were a group, I didn't really mind but my advice would be to slow down, especially with all the other competition in the area. I'm glad they didn't rush us out, either. There was an incessant fly that was quite annoying, and some of the tables outside were hounded by a bee. If you can make reservations, I'd recommend doing so, unless you come at an off time, though they don't take reservations on Sundays. And if you call when they're not open, the phone will ring and ring. It would be more convenient if they had a voicemail system or a way to make reservations online. There's street parking, which is easy to find. There are a lot of restaurants on Main Street and I'd recommend this place; I'd also come back to try their lunch menu. read more

My daughter treated me to a nice lunch at Beacon Falls Cafe. What a sweet little spot. I've passed by the cafe on a Sunday or two while walking to the Beacon Farmer's Market. Because it was always packed, I never got a chance to stop in. Fortunately, this past Monday my daughter and I were able to stop in for a late lunch. The decor is inviting and the photos/pictures on the walls are beautiful. The service was pleasant and the food was even better. I had mozzarella sticks and a bunless burger (Dat's a Gouda Burger) and my daughter opted for the Artisan salad and eggplant fries. We were both very happy with our meals So much so that we decided we'd have to pay them another visit. Next time I'll bring hubby along. I had the veggie burger and my bf had the bacon blue cheese - both enjoyed! I especially liked that the veggie burger was homemade. Drinks - we got the flight of four beers, which was a great way to try a few beers at only $6. Overall - it's right at the end of main street, so it's a walk if you're coming from DIA, but I have been twice and enjoyed it both times. Best Brunch I've had in a LONG time! Everything was absolutely delicious and incredibly flavorful!! My husband and I had the pancakes, which we asked to add chocolate chips into them, and bananas and strawberry on top. I had a side of vegetarian breakfast sausage patties and home fries. My husband had the bacon and the home fries. We were happily surprised and the immense amount of flavor in EVERYTHING!!! We also order a pitcher of mimosas, which provides one free extra cup instead of us ordering individual glasses. That too was super tasty and with a perfect balance of champagne and orange juice. The ambiance is super cute, they played classical jazz music all morning, my favorite!!! The staff is super friendly and they allow service dogs into the restaurant!!! During the summer, all dogs are welcomed to their outside seating area. Before they bring out their food, they serve mini carrots cake muffins. Im in love with this place lol. Granola French Toast, can I tell you it wasn't good at all, it was AMAZING! Everything on the menu was really delicious. Mimosa's you can get by the pitcher as well as Bloody Mary's and eggs to pancakes to french toast and that was just breakfast/brunch. Complimentary corn muffins for the table. You have the choice to order a pitcher vs. individual glasses of alcohol. Lunch menu looks just as good though we were here for brunch. Try the Brunch. You won't be disappointed!
