No matter what you do do not move into this apartment complex it is a horrible place to live the move in date was right around when I got married so I had someone pick up the keys for me when I get back I learned that we only had 48 hours to report any problems with the apartment so we didn't get that turned in oh well but then when we moved out they used that to their advantage and charged us 750 dollars to replace the carpet even though it was already disgusting when we moved in and we shampooed it twice not to mention while living there the apartment was broken into mine and my wife's cars were broken into and the catalytic converter was stolen from my truck and our neighbor threatened us multiple times the apartment was covered in roaches they would come out of the dishwasher the problems were endless then when we move out they charge us 750 dollars to replace the tiny amount of carpet. I feel unsafe in my home because of the staff and management and they do not care. The last issue I had, I had someone from the staff come into my home while I was at work, for absolutely no reason. They didn't contact me before coming into my apartment or leave a note on the door or in the system saying that there was someone here and for why. They came in and chased my cats around (very skittish cats who HATE being picked up) to catch them and locked them in the bathroom. I know someone was in my home as I leave the door shut to keep them out for our own reasons. They both were in the bathroom with the light on? No. There's no way would that be me by accident like the manager insisted! So I called the office to find out why someone was in my home and she said according to the system no one was... so we explained the situation and she had the audacity to tell me she has to go based off what her guys tell her, and disregard completely what I say and my evidence. She said she would ask the maintenance people and care back and she said "no one was in your home" so rude like I was wasting her time. But I'm my perspective I am feeling like someone broke into my home for no valid reason making me feel unsafe. But the door was locked when I got home? So I honestly felt like my home got broken into by them obviously, they're the ones with the keys. No work was done in my home or my neighbors so why did someone go get a key and come into my home and lock my animals up?! I am often home alone and the maintenance men know this as they have been in here to do work often! So then I asked where the keys were and if they were protected or guarded or even watched by a camera she told me no. No sign out sheet, nothing. THE KEYS TO THESE APARTMENTS ARE NOT LOCKED UP! KEYS DO NOT NEED TO BE SIGNED OUT BY ANYONE. THEY DONT HAVE CAMERAS WATCHING THEM!!! APPROVAL BY MANAGEMENT, NOTHING! ANYONE IS WELCOME TO THE UNGUARDED KEYS TO GET INTO ANY APARTMENT. How scary. Anyone...can go get keys and it will not be recorded just so you guys know. She did not care for the fact that I felt unsafe in my home afterwards. The manager said no one has been in my home since February and I called her out quick and said that's a damn lie, Jeremy has been in my apartment every week fixing my AC. Go ask him that one. NONE of that was in their records so why would this be?! She was very irritated that I felt unsafe. I hadn't had a job for a few months, the maintenance guys were in here all the time fixing my AC at least once a week for ever! They were in here 5 or 6 times. At least none of which is recorded. Also about maintenance: They would come in while I was in the shower. One time while I was sleeping. And they feel that they're allowed to. Any other place will call you or text your leave a note or KNOCK MORE THEN ONE TIME! Privacy and safety don't exist here. Just one of the thousands of problems with management here. read more

Sinces I move here it have been ups and downs. Natasha was amazing in helping us. The leasing offices staff is amazing and they help you a lot. Maintenance? Ummm they are good guys and others that don't do their job as they supposedly have to. But ok. You can call the leasing office and they always help. Neighbors? They complain about EVERYTHING you do (or your dogs). So. It's has been nice. Last week they broke into my car, i found some cigarettes and a lighter (I dont smoke, so someone went into my car and left it). The area is not that safe but, here we go. My apprtment wasn't ready, the maintenance guy was in my apartment working from 8am - 5pm. I called the office and the manager lady was extremely rude. My 1st impression was awesome, but after that it all went down hill. Then after moving in, I had roaches and little bugs all the time. And I kept my apartment very clean with no pets. After moving my furniture in, the floor was so cheap it left holes in the floor from the feet of the couches. Very unpleasant experiences from then on out. read more

I went in to view an apartment here for rent. The unit seemed nice enough despite the very small bathroom and it was overlooking a not so nice area. After a very large and cumbersome amount of paperwork, they told me I needed to submit a bunch of verifications. They did not do their job in a timely fashion. Other apartments approved me within 20 minutes. After days of being in limbo, I called to tell them that I was no longer interested. Suddenly, lo and behold I was approved and now required a $99 deposit which they charged to my card without my authorization and consent. Long story short, do not rent with these slimy a-holes. I'm sure their canned corporate response will involve a faux-pology, but not the return of my hard earned money. read more

Updated review: we moved apts when we wanted a two bedroom which was cool except they never confirmed it and switched our lease while we were out of town and got back on New Year's Eve and had to move. Lucky for us we moved to the apartment below the onsite maintenance guy. He has several dogs and cats the poop and peed on the balcony where he laid turf and had somewhat of jungle display of plants and such instead of ever actually walking the dogs down on a leash. We got to hear dogs barking and fighting at all hours of the day and enjoy the sweet stench of feces each time we opened the door. We were EXTRA lucky if it was turf rinsing day so all the crap rinsed down to our patio. He also had frequent visitors which made it extremely enjoyable for days we wanted to leave our blinds or windows open and have people peering into our apartment. We terminated our lease early because we were so disgusted with how poorly the property was being managed after multiple attempts to address it. I quickly got raped in the butthole with all of their nondescript charges for terminating the lease before the actual date and got berated on the phone by their district manager, Ryan. I ended up having to bite the bullet and pay rent 3x even though we were already moved out. The property managers and facility managers decided to take full advantage of our vacant unit to store extra fridges and ovens for apartment renovations and forced me to turn in my keys even though I still had 60 days in my apartment per the early lease break clause even though I was still paying for a unit I didn't have access to. We were fooled when we moved in by the "new renovations and new property management" but don't let the shiny new paint on the pool deck fool you, it's still just as crappy as it was before. I'll leave on ones last thing: they don't actually keep track of who has dogs or not. I helped a lost dog find home and these people had several dogs a lot of which are breed restricted on this property and I would see them selling them in the parking lot of the complex to which Beacon at 601 did nothing to stop nor did they address residents that don't keep their dogs on leashes. If you're looking for a great apartment I suggest something from Mark Taylor. We moved to a brand new property and pay only $100 more in rent for professional staff and luxury resort style amenities. If you go with Beacon next to the trailer park, good luck! read more

This place is absolutely the worst place I have ever lived in and I've lived in some pretty run down, crappy apartments. I have never written a review for ANYTHING, but I will go out of my way to write a review for this place to help people STAY AWAY!!! First of all, as other people have mentioned the place is INFESTED with flies and cockroaches. I don't mean just inside the apartments... even if you're walking to your car there are SWARMS of flies and giant cockroaches all over the sidewalks. Secondly, this place only LOOKS nice. The first week of my move-in I quickly realized the new appliances were the cheapest things I have ever dealt with in my life. I have had THREE refrigerator replacements in the past TWO years I have lived here. I have had hundreds of dollars worth of food go bad because of this. My tub started PEELING after the first week because I found out some genius just PAINTED IT to make it look new. So, I've been bathing in constant chippings of paint. Speaking of baths... do you enjoy having tap water? Taking showers? Doing dishes? Taking a shit in your own apartment and being able to flush? Well, not at this place! It's like living in a third world country, and I'm speaking from experience! They shut the water off ALL THE TIME. If not daily, then every other day. Sometimes they tell you, sometimes they don't! As I'm currently sitting here writing this, I have no water yet again! It's 4PM ON A SUNDAY. I have no idea when it will be back on and the people working at the office have a habit of never picking up the phone. Worried about parking? You should be! When I was moving in, I was promised a free assigned parking spot just like ANY OTHER APARTMENT COMPLEX. Instead, these geniuses decided to sell the parking spots. If you accidentally park in a purchased covered parking spot (distinguished by a small blue sign above it that is easy to miss coming home at night from a long day at work), you will have your car instantly towed. They won't knock on your door, won't call, they won't even leave some kind of a note. You just wake up, get ready to leave for work but your car is GONE. Have fun walking down the street and paying $150 for some fat-ass to tow your car LITERALLY LESS THAN A MILE. I need to do more research to see if these businesses are owned by the same people, the whole thing is incredibly shady. Finally, here are some other messed up situations I had to deal with that frankly, I wish I documented better so I could sue their asses: Some maintenance guy broke into my apartment WHILE I WAS SLEEPING through the back door that lead to my bedroom. He moved the furniture that was in front of it and started climbing into my bedroom as I was laying in bed asking him what the hell he was doing. He kept asking if he was in the right apartment and I kept telling him it was the wrong one. He retreated but came back AGAIN a few minutes later and continued to harass me about the apartment number. I don't know if it was a language barrier but he was definitely getting a kick out of the fact that I was an undressed, young female, hiding under the covers while losing my cool over the situation that was unfolding in my OWN BEDROOM. At one point the complex had to do inspections, which is fine... but when I come home from work around 6-7 PM I discovered a key left INSIDE the keyhole of my door. STICKING OUT OF THE KEYHOLE. Anyone could have walked in, taken all my stuff, hurt my pet, left, and these assholes would have been responsible. I don't know how long that key was left in my door, but the inspections were around noon, so I assume for more than a couple of hours. That is NOT OK. THEY JEOPARDIZED THE SAFETY OF MY PET AND MY VALUABLES. I got barely anything for an apology when I brought the key back to them. FOR GOD'S SAKE DO NOT MOVE HERE. You will quickly regret it, I promise. The pennies that you will save with the price will not be worth how much money you will lose in towing prices, pest control products, and lost food if you get the same crappy refrigerators I did. read more

. This Apartment complex is worse place I ever lived in. When I moved in the tub was spray painted and while taking bath the paint was dissolving under my feet. They had to come twice to seal the tub, something which should have been done first place. No one checks the workers job, they sealed the air duck in my closet with foam left all that dirt on top of my closet never bothered cleaning it up. They spray painted everything including roaches on the walls. SO, DISGUSTING........................................ Was there 10 month 10 month to long. It is invested full of roaches. Other neighbors had issues with Bedbugs yuck. The AC was so run down my electric bill was through the roof. Rather living there, save your Money, and move some were nice. read more

Beacon at 601 has definitely served its purpose for my fiancé and I. Our one bedroom was perfect but now we have moved on. The pool and gym are amazing! Maintenance was always a pleasure. Any issues, the front office lady's were on it! We will definitely miss our apartment. Only suggestion would be to spend the extra $25 and get a reserved parking spot! The maintenance crew was always kind! They were my favorite part. The apartment itself was super shitty. Old buildings, "fixed" with a bad paint job. Part of our wall wasn't even attached to the floor. The front door didn't fit the door frame, there was a gap of about half an inch that let our AC out. We called to have it fixed multiple times but they would just put like an adhesive foam, which didn't do anything. Our sink leaked while we were out of town, which warped the weird linoleum that they put under the sink. They never fixed that either. Our bathroom sink dripped for months, again, we submitted several work orders that they "fixed" but the problem was never actually fixed. Parking is a nightmare- seems like too many people live there for the spaces given. On the plus side, they have an Amazon hub which makes getting mail easy and very nice. The pool is beautiful as well! We loved the chairs by the pool and the hot tub. The gym is sad truthfully lol. read more

Came down with a friend who was interested in moving in and was very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the staff. The unit we looked at was beautiful and they seem to be renovating a lot of aspects of there complex. It's very quiet and seems to be family friendly. Pros: So far so good. Small apartment, you can tell they tried hard to remodel and make it 'nice' . does look decent though. Appliances work great. I dont care if the color is black, white or stainless steal as long as they're new , in good condition, and don't charge me for a "luxury" apartment. Except the dish washer, it was never connected to disposal for the water, needs clamp didnt care though, we dont use it. No roaches, insects or anything like these other reviews have mentioned. At least not yet. Pool and surrounding kept clean and quite. Big props. Cons: All they did was face the cabinets with new doors and paint. Still old school cabinets and drawers. In bathroom and kitchen. Drawers are difficult to open since they do not have a rail or wheels on them. (old school). Toilet takes for ever to flush I don't know if its just the way the complex is set up or of something is wrong with it. Tried putting Direct Tv in my apartment , since I've seen plenty satellites through out the apartment, technician came mentioned that front office did not allow them to install the satellite in our back little suicide balcony(its tiny lol). For remodeled apartments they still have popcorn texture on the ceelings in living room, dining area, and bedroom. Which was something that almost made me not get the apartment because its been proved to cause asthma and allergy problems. Trash bins outside get full quick and their isn't many so it make the complex look dirty at times. No good. Best for last.. PARKING. Its a joke. Since im by the pool they have these close up reserved for people who pay in order to get an extra 15$ a month for a spot. Cant complain it works for them because theyre all booked. read more

Would not recommend living here. When we first moved in everything seemed fine because we moved here in a hurry. We needed a place to live within a week. Beacon seemed great online & we solely based our opinion to what we saw online. After living here we had issues throughout our 10 month lease. Our neighbor upstairs was loud & let his dogs bark at each other all day & night. There were cockroaches & little termites or insects that I couldn't get rid of, even though we had pest control come & spray almost every week. We were forced to buy a parking spot because we could never find parking. When you got packages in the mail the front office never calls to inform you or anything which is very annoying. There are flies everywhere because of the amount of dog poop around the common areas, not everyone picks up after their pets & it shows. We had the worlds smallest bathroom & just like other reviews, our tub was painted & chipped. None of our appliances matched. Our stove burners were slanted & that was annoying. Our cabinets were placed way up high so we could only reach the first level, not functional. The vinyl floors are cheap & tear with little to no effort. Our apartment wasn't very clean when we moved in. The trash dumpsters outside were always full & there's an old lady that is always going through them around 5am, trash diving. I would see her almost every morning when I went to drop my boyfriend off at work. There were solicitors always coming by our house, looking to speak to us about our religion. There really isn't much good I can comment on except for the new gym they just built. Although there was one child (around 10 yr old) that would constantly come into the gym & outside gym playing on everything, even the staff had seen her there without her parent & said nothing. Do not live here! I moved in about 7 months ago and I can't wait till my 1 year lease is over so I can leave.. initially was so excited and thought the place looks wonderful.. well it didn't take long for that to change. The issue that arose was the washer and dry didn't work. There was also mold in the washer.. while maintenance came to fix it. It wasnt fixed so we had them out again. Still not fixed and now we've complained again and haven't heard back for when they would come. Maintenance will come in your apartment when you are not home so we requested that they come by appointment only so our dog would not get anxiety. I was asleep and maintenance walked in our home. I was so shocked and so embarrassed. Completely inappropriate and rude. Another issue is Being that we have a dog we have to walk her to the grass to go potty and apparently this place loves to over water their grass because there's always puddles and mud where there should be grass growing. We did complain about it and we were told that it was just for the new winter grass.. well it's been two months and nothing has changed. The newest issue is the upstairs neighbors that stomp and just run around. We complained once and the office hasn't done anything about it. It's just one thing after the other and I can't wait to leave! There are cockroaches everywhere outside and the codes to the gym and pool are always changing without notice.. so frustrating. This place is not all they make it to be. They are just cheap. read more

When I set out to look for an apartment a couple months ago, Beacon at 601 popped up within my price range with some of the amenities I was looking for such as a washer and dryer in each unit, especially the one bedroom (those can be hard to find and if you do, the price of some are ridiculous.) As soon as I went to this apartment property I just knew it was the one; the vibe is great and it all started with the most friendly office staff! They've helped me through the move in process and even so after I've moved in. They're always very helpful and caring. The property is clean, quiet and close to a lot of things! I have lived here for about a year and I am about to renew my lease. My boyfriend and I love the apartment and the new gym! I work early in the morning so having the gym open 24hrs has been really helpful. We had a few minor issues in our apartment when we first moved in but the maintenance guy was in within 48hrs and fixed everything we needed. The office girls are always really friendly and they host different events each month so you can hang out with them and the other residents. We have met several other couples within the apartments to hang out with and we just really enjoy it! I would recommend Beacon at 601 to anyone looking for a place to live read more

for being in the mesa area this apartment complex is extremely pricey especially for the size of a one bed one bath. really small room, there's barely enough room for my queen bed, and no utilities included, wish i would've informed myself more about it before applying but at that time i was looking to move in as soon as possible. also if you live upstairs the stairs are very narrow making it very difficult to bring furniture up. there was a leak under the kitchen sink for about a week and when maintenance came by they only vacuumed the wet area leaving a ring of water in the carpet... in their ad it states that they are freshly renovated but everything in the apartment is cheap; cabinets, appliances, event the bolts are rusty. looks nice in all the pictures but in person it's completely different. there's also small things they leave out and don't tell you, like there not being a fan in my room at all, but there's some rooms that do have installed and they never even mentioned it. the thermostat is super old school not even digital so you have to play around with it and never know what temperature is even at, that affects the electricity bill. i'm currently waiting for my lease to be over and not continue living here. you're better off living in scottsdale if you want to be paying over 900$ in rent. not worth it here in mesa super sketchy people. also within the first week of living here someone backed up into my car and left a huge dent, i went to the front desk and they acted like they were concerned but didn't do anything about it (even though i had an idea of who it could've been because i know who parks around me)... overall i would never rent here again... 590 sq. ft for over $900 a month!? in mesa!? don't get fooled by their renovated pictures.. i also do think that they write their own reviews and rate themselves 5 stars. three 5 star reviews all in one day seems fishy. read more
