Believe me, these pictures don't do it justice. This place is absolutely amazing. I wanted to move here for about 6 months and walk by it every weekday about 3x (when I'm on my daily walks during my work breaks/lunch right next door) and dreamt what it would be like. It wasn't at all what I expected. It was so much more. Paradise, if I may. The staff, top to bottom, have been extremely courteous, friendly, funny, helpful, giving and real. I have only encountered a cheerful and willing-to-help group here. To say they've truly made me feel at home and ease is an understatement. While I've only lived here a couple of days, my life has drastically improved. I love my apartment and my view of the mountains, Salt River and North Valley. It's truly breathtaking. VERY high ceilings with HUGE doors - so tall, this 6'1" dude can't reach the tops. It even came with speakers to Bluetooth my music to - which I didn't find out until I moved in. Special shout out to Shirae Pryor who originally gave me a tour and months later remembered me without having to reintroduce myself. She is extremely professional, helpful, goes out of her way, funny and put up with my enormous enthusiasm during my first few days of excitement to live here. The place is gorgeous, VERY well kept up, modern, with a lot of space/storage - like SOOO much storage space/cabinets/closets, even in my studio and the management team hosts parties, it seems like 2x a month free for residents that includes food, music and even alcoholic beverages, if you drink. Additionally, they gave me an extremely nice welcome package that included a cute little bottle of wine, two glasses and a bag of wonderful snacks. (Pictured.) Heck, even the lobby rivals many Las Vegas resorts I've stayed at. It's the definition of luxury. As you can tell, I cannot recommend this place enough. You're a 3-5 minutes' WALK to a ginormous outdoor mall including many bars, restaurants, entertainment, movies, Target, Ross, etc. Plus, a Sam's Club is coming very soon and just as close. Not to mention, you're a quick Lyft/Waymo ride to many, many more attractions, beach, restaurants and entertainment down/around Mill Ave. Even the Cubs Spring training games are an all-but a short walk. If you decide to make the right move and become a resident here, might I suggest three places you should try out: 1. Spinato's Pizzeria and Family Kitchens - about a 6-7-minute walk. Being obsessed with pizza since I was a kid, and while only eating here 3x now, I'm absolutely convinced it's in my top 5 favorite pizza joints of all-time. 2. RoadHouse Cinemas. I'm also a movie-lover and this is, BY FAR, my favorite cinema. It's just a quick drive up Loop 101. Make sure you try out their Screening Rooms theatres. They make the experience the best you can have. 3. The Arena Poker Room at Talking Stick Casino, which, coincidentally, is less than a mile from RoadHouse. It also rivals any/all Las Vegas poker rooms. Great games there. So, what are you waiting for? Move here as soon as you can. read more

Enjoyed living here and also the spacious nice gym. My neighbors are all friendly and quiet. An easy place for Uber to locate when I go airport etc. Was super convenient being able to walk in 7 min over to movies and dinner at Tempe Marketplace. Great layout on the apts here too. read more

This is somehow both the most expensive and worst apartment I have ever lived in. I don't even know where to start. Within a week of moving in, our side of the complex flooded and we were using every towel we owned to keep the water at bay in our apartment. Since then, I've seen it happen many times all throughout the complex. The next week my boyfriend's bike got stolen out of the locked bike room. They somehow got into the room which requires a key fob, cut his bike lock, sprayed the cameras with foam, and got out. A neighbor who was in the bike room when we found the lock in pieces on the floor said that her bike got stolen from the bike room too, months prior, and they cut through her U lock. She went to the office and they said the cameras don't actually work in that room, they're just there for show. A month after that my bike was stolen as well. Cut through a brand new lock and stole it out of the locked bike room. Apparently it's a regular thing that no one can do anything about. Roughly 2 weeks later I found a rat in my parking space directly outside of my apartment that I initially thought was dead. Turns out it was not dead because it crawled into my car from the outside and chewed through my wires that night. Apparently rats play dead like possums. Aside from flooding, theft, and rats, it's also sketchy at night. It's right up against the canal so unhoused people sleep under the bridge just a few yards away and often wander around the complex, get into the fenced-in areas of the building to use the hose spigots for bathing, and do drugs at the picnic tables. I traveled Europe by myself, staying in hostels for 6 weeks, so I don't scare easily but I do not feel safe walking around here at night or even taking the trash to the dumpsters by myself. To make matters worse, the exit gate of the parking garage has been broken for the past month so it's been wide open day and night for anyone to enter for a month now. Two nights ago there was a dead cockroach just hanging out in the hallway, not to mention the dead crickets everywhere. I find at least 3 living spiders in my apartment each week and had 2 living crickets this week as well. This place is advertised as a luxury apartment building but is riddled with bugs, rats, theft, flooding, broken and obsolete 'security measures', and unhoused guests using the facilities. Save yourself a lot of stress and don't live here. read more

I recently finished a 15-month lease at The Cameron and had a great experience. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in a vibrant part of the Valley with good amenities and a friendly and professional staff. Alanna and Matt were especially helpful throughout my stay. All of the staff works very hard to create a feeling of "community" for the residents (and this is a large complex) so it's never easy keeping everyone pleased. But every week it seems the staff is stepping up to offer another great experience for residents who wish to participate. They also do an exceptional job of managing community issues such as parking, EV charging, getting residents to clean up after their pets, etc. Probably one overlooked point for some (but that was amazing for me) is the direct access to the Rio Salado Pathway. You can literally enter the path directly behind the building and have miles and miles of unobstructed opportunities for cycling, running and walking. The path has some easy loops from The Cameron to Tempe Beach Park, around Tempe Town Lake, and even into Papago Park. This added tremendous value to me personally. Obviously, many have pointed out the easy access to Tempe Marketplace and the many shops and restaurants there. A very simple walk or drive to pretty much anything you may need. The individual apartments are nice and have been well-maintained for a complex that has been open several years. I rarely needed maintenance, but when I did, the service was excellent. I relocated as some of my work-from-home opportunities were ending, but would readily move back to The Cameron if the right circumstances came along! read more

Going to be honest and transparent. I moved here and had my brand new truck stolen within 2/3 months, and it was deemed a total loss, so I bought another brand new truck and that one was broken into a week later.... Nothing at all was done about it and there was zero compensation and I lost a total of tenths of thousands cash on that entire ordeal. (Anything at all would've been nice, and they also wouldn't let me get out of my lease after two property crimes of high value). There is also cockroaches in the walls that I have noticed crawl out from underneath the walls, sinks, which I have had to vacuum up lol. Besides that the insides are nice, they just redid the hallway carpets, and the amenities are nice as well. I would also like to note that the people who work in the leasing office are kind, and maintenance requests are quick. They also just built a Sam's club directly across the parking lot with a gas station there so traffic is going to be nuts and it's already bad from Tempe market place alone. read more

One of the best places I've rented at , and was a bitter sweet departure. I want to first thank Matt.. I had a horrible experience at my last apartment complex & it just didn't feel like home. I did extensive research to not find myself in the same situation. I found the Cameron and gave them a call, and the first person I spoke to was Matt. I told him my interest in renting , and what I was looking for, as well as my time frame. He called me every time they had something available, and gave me a tour of the property. Something finally came up and I went in and signed paperwork. The entire process was so easy and convenient. So , Matt, thank you for everything , and I'm glad I'm finally getting around to this review. 1 year later , but what better time than now, so I can provide my heart warming thank you! I moved to California this week, and wish I could bring the Cameron and the staff with me! The community is clean, friendly and in the best possible location of Tempe. Maintenance is fast and friendly, every time I caught them in the morning while they rode around in their golf carts they'd wave and smile. This was right in the morning so the fact these guys are so chipper in the morning made my morning! This community is amazing, and I love that The Cameron reinvests in its community with Mixers, Live Dj's, Free Mimosas. I was actually surprised how many community events they did. They'd also support Small Business's by inviting food trucks to the Cameron after work hours which was super convenient ! If I ever make my way back to Arizona , it will be at the Cameron in Tempe. My only cons, which are my mistake is I did not realize there was not a Spa! I'm not sure how I missed it, but the pool is amazing ! & all the amenities are fabulous. Regardless of no spa, I'd still live there again, and if it weren't for me moving I would of renewed my lease. The staff is incredible, Maintenance incredible, the property is incredible , & again it is the first property that I felt at home. So thank you , The Cameron ! read more

Matthew is the man, and if he hasn't gotten a raise then he deserves multiple. Matthew has been nothing but kind, comedic, and welcoming. The Cameron has been pleasant so far, and we've had no issues. We are in our first month and we love it so far. Saw a ton of bad reviews, and I'm not sure why? Everyone has been respectful. Absolutely love my apartment! I rent a studio currently and it is the perfect fit for me and my fur baby! It is in the perfect location! The staff are super great and nice! My neighbors are all respectful and nice. The only thing that can be overwhelming is the homeless people hang around the back side a lot by the highway but security has been keeping up on that! I've been living at The Cameron for two months with my boyfriend, and we love this apartment complex. I've read through all the poor reviews, and it's all unfair nonsense. First, here are some positives: - staff works seven days a week until 5pm. They are very helpful, attentive, and available. When we wanted to switch apartments as soon as we moved in, they were totally fine with it. They just want you to be happy. - there is a gym, a pool, and multiple courtyards to use. Everything is always clean and open 24/7. - building location just can't be beat. You're right next to the Tempe Marketplace, and we live very centrally relative to town. - they have weekly or biweekly events, which is sweet. I always look forward to them. It's a nice touch. - the apartments themselves are gorgeous and so affordable. It feels like living in a spa resort. They would've been three times the price if they were in NY. - maintenance issues are taken care of the same day you file a request. - they have a rewards app where you do things like take surveys and submit photos and get points for gift cards. Cute. - resident portal is easy to use and straightforward. Addressing some of the negative reviews: - there's no noise from the Marketplace or the parking lot. It's, in fact, a very quiet and peaceful environment. - speed bumps are now in the parking lot. - I haven't encountered any trash in the hallways or stairwells. - the address is now registered on Google Maps, and this is a simple fix that's not worth a negative review of the building. - packages/mail are totally seamless processes. - bar with bartender is up and running. - lobby smells great. Yes, the hallway has a funky smell, but it's not a big deal. - only thing that stands out is how expensive a second parking space is. But if it's an issue, like for me, I just park outside on the ground floor. Anyway, I definitely recommend paying The Cameron a visit and living here if you're considering a move to Tempe. The staff is professional and helpful, and the building is lovely. read more

While the front office of the complex is nice, the rest is just trashed. The hallways are gross and they kept it really hot in our hallway on the 2nd floor for some reason. Tenants throwing garbage from the top of the parking garage and just leaving their trash on the outside of their door. (and people wonder why there is so many rats around) The maintenance crew was fine and friendly and Chance at the front office was always super helpful. I love that you guys jacked the rent up after just a year of living there, definitely not worth it when I can find a cheaper place in Glendale that is just as nice. The units themselves were fine but we were promised a certain style of carpet and a bigger closet which we did not get. So the bait and switch was not cool. The showers design was poor and for the love of god why would you put that many grout lines in a shower and not use a non-porous grout or at the very least have it sealed?? Every time we showered I would have to clean it with an acid cleaner and dry it quickly so that mold wouldn't form. The washer and dryer were disgusting the dryer was filled with lint, even after you pulled the lint catcher out the bottom was filled with it, I could never get it fully cleaned. Also I had my airpods stolen right out of my vehicle which was parked in the gated garage. So if you want to spend over 2k for a one bedroom apartment that's just okay, then this is the place for you! Also twice I we had the fire sirens going off, one because some kids stole the fire extinguisher and sprayed it in the halls which in turn set off the alarms, which is not the fault of the complex. The other time there was an FBI raid in someone's apartment with fully decked out FBI agents with their guns out. Again that is not the complex's fault. What was concerning was the the managers would delete messages when concerned members of our complex asked about that incident through the app we use to communicate with our fellow neighbors. Nothing was ever said about what happen, which I believe we had every right to talk about. read more

I'm posting this review after after almost two years of living at The Cameron. In that time I have had two next door neighbors. The first neighbors would always argue and scream at each other and make the hallway smell like weed. This ended with them destroying their front door one night, splitting it in half, in a drunken fight. The next neighbor that moved in constantly plays music that I can clearly hear throughout my apartment. This is a daily occurrence. I could go on with other experiences living here, from a drunken fight in the parking lot at 3am to dog urine in the elevator. If you don't believe me then ask them why they are always sending out emails about trash in the hallway, animal waste in common areas, and drug use. Or look at the resident portal where numerous other residents are complaining about noise and music coming from several different floors. I have never once had to contact management at an apartment where I've lived, but have done so at The Cameron multiple times. Every time they give some pleasantry and assurance that something will be done but nothing ever is. I'm tired of sending emails and this is my last resort. The apartments themselves are very nice but living here has not been. read more

Lived here for over a year and I miss living at this complex. This was the best place I've ever lived, the apartments are so nice, the community events were great, and the community itself is also amazing. The management team always was responsive and dealt with issues accordingly. I completely regret moving to another "luxury" complex down the street and wish I just paid the extra money to stay at the Cameron. It doesn't even compare to what the Cameron offered and I will forever regret leaving there, I would break my lease and go back now if I could! read more

If I could live here forever, I definitely would. I have lived here for over a year and I have witnessed the complex filling up with new residents and I must say that the management group has done a very good job accommodating for all of us. Everyone here is very friendly starting from the leasing office, to the maintenance guys to the residents. The apartment units are gorgeous and pretty sound proof in my opinion. I have never had trouble with parking and people are pretty good at respecting assigned parking. I've read bad reviews about dog fecal matter, but all I have to say is, it's not that bad. It's very uncommon to move somewhere dog friendly and not find the ocasional nugget here and there. Make sure that if you're looking into moving here and you own a pet, you're a responsible owner who will pick up after their dog. Overall the Cameron has been a great place to live read more

Great maintenance staff but that is the only thing that is great. Management is not there to help you, they actually will work against you when possible. Sit on their phone watching videos all day while they "misplace" packages and you have to basically yell in their face to get them to look up and attend to you while you're standing right in front of them. Great place to live. Been in multiple apartments in old town and tempe. This is favorite one to date. Matt is the man!!

Staff is incredibly disrespectful, rude, and inconsiderate (except Matthew and those in maintenance). Roaches and crickets everywhere. Homeless people bathing in the pool and fountain. Cops constantly investigating the premises. A neighbor was selling drugs out of first floor apartment and constantly had random people coming in and out at late hours. The Cameron has gone incredibly downhill with current management and I would not recommend anyone living here. read more

Well, well, well, here we go again...was just made aware of a female resident whose catalytic converter was recently stolen from her vehicle along with other things, for a repair cost of $4000. In addition, this occurred within The Cameron's gated, security garage-what a complete joke that is! How many of these incidents have to occur before people will demand action? Personnel at this location will tell you anything they think you want to hear in order to secure a lease or to try an appease a current leaser. However, their action(s) of fixing the rampant crime at their location lacks any kind of decency and/or credibility. If you're the one who had your vehicle victimized, ask/demand them to cover the cost of your repairs, or the deductible of your insurance at the very least. This only seems fair since they have an attitude of "deliberate indifference" regarding their crime issues. Yes, that's a legal term where they have been made fully aware of their crime/safety issues but have done nothing or very little to correct them. Nonetheless, as soon as you bring that up, they'll treat you like you have leprosy. In fact, they don't even have the decency to even discuss my incident anymore. That's OK because I will FOREVER make sure, at all levels of social media and elsewhere, that people are fully aware of the truth and how crappy The Cameron conducts business. Sorry this happened to another victim...but, sadly, you were warned about this place!! read more

Went here for an apartment tour and was just turned off by the leasing agent, Matthew. He did the tour way too fast and did not take the time to slow down and talk about the amenities or the features of the unit. I had to ask to see the pool myself! What's the rush about? Also I felt like his tone was rude and condescending. He was saying how I need to make 3x the rent to live here and to get someone to co-sign if I can't, as if I can't afford it myself. Why would I take the time to tour something I can't afford lol. Wasn't into the unit anyways and didn't feel welcome so won't be coming here! read more

A friend and I were looking for a place together for our very first time. We're very inexperienced but have been learning due to the extensive search over time so we are very much aware of when something doesn't seem reasonable. Thankfully, the leasing process was SUPER EASY and the manager (I believe her name was Alanna) was very courteous and kind. She was very knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs. She was able to pin point what we wanted and helped us move forward with the process. Many of the finishes are similar to a new build 10/10 recommend! We were one of the first to move into this place in November of last year. I have to say that I had so much hope in the beginning and The Cameron really just hasn't met my expectations. We can start with the pros: *BEN. Absolutely amazing customer service, knows both of us by name, consistently goes the extra mile. There's another sweet girl up there I haven't seen recently, Caitlyn maybe, but they're saints and we're incredibly grateful for them. *Maintenance, in particular Cody, is phenomenal. *The gray and white color scheme in our apartment is gorgeous, there is a TON of cabinet space. *The location is fantastic, Tempe Marketplace is about two minutes from our front door. Cons: *The address still hasn't been registered with google maps, beware of issues with international couriers and Uber/Lyft *Getting packages/mail here is an absolute nightmare, it feels like every time I have something delivered I can't find it. I could be standing in front of management with a notification from the courier saying "left in mail room" and they'll insist that it wasn't delivered. They find it once they go looking. *There's "designated quiet hours" but they clearly are not explaining that to people moving in at 11pm on a Thursday. Complaints to the front desk get laughed off. *The ceilings are INCREDIBLY poorly insulated. I can tell you exactly when my upstairs neighbor gets up in the middle of the night. *We were told that there's a heated pool when we toured. We found out this week that it is not. Also, bartender? We were told they would have one, still nothing. *It took months to get a "designated pet station" in the grassy area, that is already out of bags, and it is poorly maintained. The grass is over watered and muddy; I clean up after my pet, I shouldn't have to step over dog feces every time I take him out. *The hallways and the stairwell smell like rotten eggs off and on. Overall, I know this place is new and still undergoing construction. I'm not unhappy, but I definitely am not seeing the value, especially for the price we pay monthly. read more

To be what made it worth it was the awesome maintenance staff and merrilee! the maintenance staff were always on top of everything, best maintenance team I've ever had living in an apt. if I made a request they were there that day and had things fixed as quick as possible, they were not only quick but friendly and personable. now merrilee, she was the best part of the Cameron! everytime I was to get a package out of the package locker she was there to help me get it since I couldnt get my codes to open it myself. she always had a smile on her face and never acted like I was a bother which I really appreciate, since I was always in the office. she really took the time to get to know us and my family which was so special and unique. she was so appreciated more than she'll ever know, thank you! she really helped me especially since I was always home and becand a new mom when I was living here read more
