Update from April 2021. We went for a long off season weekend excited to try the GF chowder - they NO longer will make our waitress said... honestly the best thing they had...so sad. And I ordered the GF Fish & Chips- as I call it (fries) and it was not so fresh with too much or too thick of breading. We also ordered the brisket nachos and the salmon cakes and honestly everything was a 3. Nothing like it was last summer. Hostess said they DO NOT place tables together and wait for 7 would be an hour or longer even though park ling lot had a handful of spots open with its limited spots. We were told there was a 2 hour maximum to stay seated at our table once seated, also reasonable for peak season. There was a very long wait when we went here and there isn't really any place inside to wait. The parking lot is small and there is no street parking near this place. We parked at a community parking lot as it was off season about an 8 minute walk down a side street. The bar was busy and the bar tenders were handsome and kept busy. Our waitress was great. Pretty attentive and never left us waiting for long. The portion sizes were quite big. Friend got a salad. I got chicken parm. It was bland but not bad. What a find space! While on a mini vacation I stopped by three times. Just perfect to hang with friends in a social distancing way and enjoy the incredible evenings. This is the best bbq grille I've been to in years. I got the smoked brisket and smoked sausage with dusted fries coleslaw and cornbread. The sweet cornbread is not something i typically order but so worth it. I am the pickiest coleslaw eater ever and this wet my appetite. The brisket was tender and flavored well. I go to bbq places everywhere I go and this is the best in 10 years I've been to. The homemade sauce I could drink. My wife ordered the brocolli and cheese soup and coudknt stopped eating. Wow, what a GREAT experience we had dining here last night. Downfalls first, the list is shorter, small parking lot, a long wait (but worth it). My husband and I are gluten free, it's rare to find a restaurant who can do fried gluten free and have it taste like it's not gluten free. My husband had fried haddock, brussels and fries, I had garlic parm chicken tenders and fries (don't judge us, fried food for us is hard to find!) our daughter had a chicken ceasar salad. Our fried food was so perfectly crispy without being overly greasy, the portions were big enough for 2 meals (we boxed up, but the take out was not nearly as good as when freshly served) our daughter ate her entire salad, she rarely does this elsewhere but the croutons/lettuce/cheese/dressing ratio was spot on, the chicken was a slightly smaller portion than I expected, but she always eats that before the salad anyway. Our server was prompt, pleasant, informed us very few items on their menu are not gluten free and nothing is in a shared fryer, this is so key for us! We each enjoyed a bar bevvy before dinner, creative, and delicious. We can't wait to come back. Great place, I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

After waiting awhile and not even a look over our way, we walked away ready to leave. Instead our wives went in and tried. After standing there for several minutes, my wife finally said loudly "can I order some drinks" and it still took some time to even get attention. We went on a sunny warm afternoon in November and were hoping to sit outside by the fire. But they have stopped serving outdoors (tho you can buy a drink and bring it out there). We wanted lunch so we dined inside. Our server was very attentive. My salad was very large, fresh and just delicious. My husband had fried haddock. I'd definitely say look ahead at the menu because it's limited and I had a hard time deciding what to eat. Wings were pretty good but we were short one wing for some reason. I ordered the ranch chicken sandwich and it had too much of a smoked taste. I'd recommend their sweet potato fries as a side. Morgan was hands down the best waitress during our stay in Maine. She was always making sure we had everything we needed and was extremely friendly! The food was DEEEELICIOUS! I am a stickler for really good Mac n cheese and it checked off every box I look for in a good dish. We also ordered fried pickle spears and though they were a bit soggy from the styrofoam - the dipping sauce was amazing. I think I would have drank it if there was more. We also ordered the pb&j burger and WOW! Don't skip this over! This burger was the perfect blend of creamy (chunky peanut butter) and sweet (grape jelly) If there is one thing you should order from BeachFire - for sure it's the wings! We went to Beach Fire the first night because it offered gluten-free food. We loved it! The bourbon steak tips melt in your mouth, lazy lobster delicious. The portions are large, but we had an appetizer, chili cheese fries(yummy). If gluten-free dessert is offered we must try it... delicious white chocolate and strawberry cake. I forgot to mention the delicious salads I had strawberry with candied pecans and cheese gluten-free. My husband had a Caesar salad that was not gluten-free but was delicious. My wife and I went for dinner and were told it was a 40 minute wait, but we were welcome to get drinks from the bar and sit beside the fire, which we did. We both got Mojitos which were very tasty. Food was good as well as the servers but my one pet peeve is when you wait longer than you should for your appetizers and they finally arrive and one minute later your entres are being put down. That absolutely infuriates me and now everyone feels rushed to eat everything and things get cold because the meal experience was not paced properly.
