Fries are amazing, burger is huge!! Great food, music and atmosphere. The staff is friendly, relaxed beach restaurant. Inside is cool, sitting outside looks cool to. Nice bar, I don't drink but looks pleasant

The food here is amazing! For the price, you get a decent amount. The service is always been awesome. FYI, it does get busy and parking isn't plentiful, but be patient, someone will be leaving and they don't take reservations, so have patience if it's a long wait. We were told 45 minutes and less than 15, we were being seated. The fire pit out front is so awesome, warming and relaxing to sit around. They do have a bar to sit at if you like. They have high tables and regular seating. The menu has a variety to choose from, so it fits everyone. I recommend checking this place out!

Love the fire pits. Can be a wait for outside but grab a drink and sit outside to wait

Birthday celebration in one of my favorite New England towns, Ogunquit! Julia & I kicked off the weekend at @beachfire, where we devoured a smorgasbord of goodies. The smoked kielbasa, mac & cheese, & fried Brussels were must-haves. Our waitress Kaylee was fantastic, & the fireplace outside was the perfect touch.

Beach fire is one of my favorite spots when I come to Maine. The staff is always so consistent and friendly, and they are super attentive. Chuck is always there and the best bartender ever, despite another review saying otherwise. I love the specials they have during the off season, but even on season their prices are reasonable. I have tried many different things here and they're always great!! It does get very busy so make sure you plan ahead when you're coming, parking can also get iffy.

Lobster roll + fries

Came here for a quick lunch while visiting Ogunquit as "Beach Fire" was allegedly one of the top rated restaurants in town. It was a bit difficult to find parking on a busy Sunday afternoon, but we found a spot and headed in. The service was average, nothing to write home about. We were seated with five minutes of our arrival and the whole dining experience took close to 45 minutes total, which was standard. I'm not much of a seafood girl, so I opted for the "Rancher" sandwich which came with smoked chicken, bacon bits, melted cheese, mixed greens, tomato, and ranch. The smoked chicken was flavorful, but I would have preferred it to be just a simple slab of grilled chicken with pepper instead, because the smokiness was very overpowering. The homemade ranch, however, was extremely delicious and I yearned for a bottle to take home with me. The mixed greens added color and texture to the sandwich, which was appreciated. I also opted for a side of baked beans, which were delicious and had a bit of BBQ tang to them. Overall, the sandwich was decent but pretty messy, so make sure to have napkins nearby! We also ordered lobster rolls which sold at a market price of $29, which stood close to average for New England this season (I believe the range is $25-35). It was very tasty and fresh, but would have been served better warm instead of cold. The portion was fair, though the side dishes were bigger than the main course (as pictured). The fries were so-so, but the side caesar was one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had in my life. Beach Fire clearly knows how to do their dressings. Overall, I left satisfied and ready to take on Ogunquit!

Great outdoor seating and awesome food. You have to try the steak tips, best I've ever had. Service was good and the atmosphere was fun.

We grabbed a couple seats near the piano player after ordering drinks at the bar. I had the Lavender Lemon Drop and it was ice cold and delicious. We also tried the Death Drop Martini, which was just as good. It was made with Casamigos Mezcal, passionfruit liqueur purée, fresh lime, and a tajin rim. The female pianist was incredibly talented, the crowd was friendly, and the atmosphere made it easy to hang out for a while. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.

Calamari was crispy, but not very seasoned. Decent sweet potato fries. Server was attentive but zero personality. Dining space was nice, much quieter vibe than upstairs. Second floor is where the piano bar is, first come first served, and the line moved quickly. It was lively, a bit of a cluster. Piano player did a good job catering to Millennials to Boomers, even mashing up a bit between the Killers, Kings of Leon, and Blink 182, which was cool. But the bartender was a miss, very hasty - drinks were poorly mixed and he broke 2 glasses while we were seated at the bar, yikes!

Always have been curious about this spot and glad we finally tried it. We usually eat in town or…read moreback in Portsmouth when seeing a show at the Playhouse, but this time we gave Johnathons a go. First, this is a big restaurant, busy with several large rooms. They handle large crowds as we even saw buses in the parking lot. The host was gracious, we were quickly seated at a nice window table and had a pleasant waiter. Entrees are on the pricier side, but comparable to other spots in town. Everybody enjoyed their food. I particularly liked the very crispy fried calamari appetizer and the short ribs were tender and delicious and a very generous portion. The scallop appetizer was also very good, as was the pork chop entree. We told our waiter we were seeing a show and he kept things moving along for us. We were not rushed, but did not need to worry about not having enough time. The only disappointment, and we realized after we left, was that the 10% discount for dinner, advertised on our ticket was not applied. I know our waiter knew as he told us to enjoy the show as we were leaving. As sponsors of the theater, it seems wrong that you have to remember to show your ticket to receive the discount, especially when our waiter knew. Other than that, I would recommend the restaurant
