Staff are rude! We walked out after feeling interrogated rather than welcomed into this establishment. I will add my Son and his girlfriend did go back to the restaurant the next day to give them a second try. He did sit down and eat but was not happy with the service. Went here today and were told the outdoor seating was CLOSED and we could not sit inside because we had a stroller with us. Before we even left the lot we witnessed them wiping off tables outdoors for several other families with small children. Apparently it was only closed for us. Pulled into BeachFire Bar & Grille on a Saturday evening at about 6pm during NFL playoffs. Saw about 9 people hanging around a fire pit enjoying a beer or two, eating and smoking a cigar. Wife says, "Those people are nuts! Where are you taking me?" It was about 14 degrees - they looked like they were having a blast. Inside I had a great server, fantastic BBQ Ribs and Brisket. Wife had a veggie burger which she felt was way above average. Smoked Mozzarella Sticks were outstanding. All in all, a great first impression. My wife and I live within easy walking distance to this establishment. There is a horrible bartender there that does not prefer the patronage of either me or my wife . His name is Chuck. He is the most obnoxious individual to serve behind any bar my wife and I have ever observed. I was a professional pilot for at least fifty years all around the world. My wife was also an international world traveler in business . We both have been involved in our own businesses together and separately. As a client and business owner I would never entertain such a person as the bartender Chuck to represent my business to the public. Therefore, we do not recommend patronizing this establishment, especially recognizing the fact that there are so many great options in the Ogunquit area. My wife is a fifth generation native so she is very aware of the businesses in the area. We will NEVER attempt patronize this place and highly others to do the same. BTY, the first time we walked in about four years ago, we sat at the bar in late afternoon. An off duty employee who just finished his finished his shift at the kitchen, of all places, sat down at the bar near us, took a shot of whatever. Next thing we knew, he went completely over backwards on his barstool onto the floor. Kinda makes you wonder what was going on in the kitchen during his shift. This place is great! Came here for dinner with my family, our server Cat was wonderful! Three of us have celiac (cant eat gluten) and most of the menu can be made GF. We got reasonably priced lobster rolls and the chicken ranch sandwich all were delicious. We also got the Brussel sprouts and garlic Parmesan wings for an appetizers and they were great. This also happens to be one of the only places around that has a "late night menu" which means after 9-9:30pm in Ogunquit when pretty much every other kitchen shuts down. We went to dinner on a Friday evening. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. Our server was delightful. She was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was fabulous. My companion had the steak tips and said that they were well prepared. They did not a gluten free starch option other than sweet potato fries. He enjoyed them. I ordered the pecan chicken. It was tender and flavorful and a generous portion. It came with rice pilaf and grilled asparagus. I enjoyed it so much, I was wishing I had a larger appetite so I could have finished. We discovered this great Bar & Grill the first night of our arrival which coincided their first night opening after remodeling. We were very pleased to find a friendly bar with Chuck at the helm. We returned several times during our trip for the great social scene as well as delicious dinner options. We tried haddock fish and chips (excellent), lobster in small cups (excellent), smoked scallop skewer (loved the apple and veggies the scallops a bit less) and lastly Monday night was smoked prime rib night (excellent and surprised). Met the chef and he took a lot of pride in his work and it showed! Went here for dinner with a big group (14) last Sunday. Service was slow to start, but a big group can be difficult. Our group really liked the appetizers: smoked wings, bourbon smoked meatballs, fried clams, etc. Dinners were also good: smoked salmon over linguini, ribs, pulled pork, smoked lobster. Good beer and wine choices and a nice relaxed vibe made it a pleasant evening. The ribs came out a little after the other entrees so be prepared to wait a little extra for them. Me and my family went there and were told that it was a 30-45 minute wait and so that's what we did. We waited for an hour before I went up and said something and they said they "forgot" about us. We were then seated to then wait an additional 25 minutes for anyone to come over, which we also had to ask someone if we were going to be waited on. When the waitress came over to our table she said that she also "forgot" that we were even there. The food was pretty good though but horrible service. P.S. I must say seeing the outdoors fire pit draws you in. We were happy to stop and participate in the end of Happy Hour which ran from 4-6pm. They had a few cocktail choices for $6 and their wings which they are known for were discounted too. We ordered an order of fried pickles at full price because we love them and 6 Wings to start. Then we decided to try the Beachfire Punch for our happy hour drinks. When the waitress brought us our drinks we were amazed that they were full size in hurricane glasses. And when we tasted them, they were not watered down and all juice. These were nice and strong as they should be! Nothing like being able to order a few drinks each for less than it cost for one mixed drink in most of the places in Ogunquit. Our appetizers came out and when we tried the wings, we could see why they said on the menu that they were the best in the area! The wings were pretty large and cooked with a good crisp as well as smoked. We got the sweet chili wings and loved them! The fried pickle spears were also yummy with a great batter on them! For our main dinners, I went with a cheeseburger adding bacon as it was half off burgers night. The other dish ordered was the fried haddock sandwhich. We got french fries with one and oninion rings with the other. Both sides and sandwhiches were very good! We will have to go back to be able to rate anything more premium on the menu. But this place was excellent for burgers, sandwhiches, wings and drinks! We really enjoyed sitting at an outdoor table not far from the firepit to eat our dinner. And we even came back after a quick stroll to nearby Footbridge Beach to have a few more drinks by the fire! Nice people and great environment! We will be back! read more

My Husband and I visited Beacfire Bar &Grill while visiting Maine we both ordered the Lobster Roll with one side. The meal came with a toasted hot dog roll, plain lobster claws in the roll on a bed of lettuce. NO Tail meat all claw for a whopping $22.00 per roll. Asked for the manager to express our dissatisfaction with the price for two claws on a roll and got a reason that the cook must have grabbed claw out of the tub. Both sandwiches had no tail meat only two claws each in the roll. I believe Beachfire owners are trying to rip off their customers and calling it a "mistake". How can both rolls have two claws each and no lobster tail and charge $22.00. Shame on the manager for not trying to satisfy a customer that spent $75.00 on a lunch. Nice environment great music selections, outdoor fire area looked relaxing, we were seated inside. Smoked chicken wings are ALMOST worth the trip. You can choose two flavors I had buffalo and Coconut curry wings both flavors were great (quite the crowd favorite). My brother had the meatballs and referred to them as a "meat brick" which I think is pretty self explanatory. The fried mozzarella is a good pick it's an interesting take on mozzarella sticks. We went with a vegetarian who was pleased with the fried pickle appetizer which feels like it would be pretty hard to mess up. Smoked Scallop appetizer get a good review from my grandmother. Onto the entrees, I had the teriyaki steak sandwich, the sautéed vegetables were good but the bread was not (which was disappointing for a restaurant that has a whole sandwich section of their menu), another thing I found was that the meat to sauce ratio was way off which was a common theme throughout the evening my father's smoked platter also had a unfortunate sauce to meat ratio. My grandfather had a strip steak that was very tough, my grandmother (to the restaurants defense was is a native Londoner) so she's a tough critic when it comes to fish and chips and didn't hate it but was not satisfied. Went there with a group of 11 after walking out of another place on Shore Rd. They were extremely accommodating and we were seated within minutes. We each had different entrees and every one I'd thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The sweet potatoes fries were a big hit and the wings with sweet Thai sauce was incredible. The barbecue chicken was also very tasty according to one in our party and the steak tid bits were also a favorite. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. On the way home from Maine's coast, we were craving some lobster. We came across the menu from the Beachfire bar and grill with smoked lobster as a choice. We decided to give it a try - and are we ever glad we did! We both got the smoked lobster- which came with 3 sides. We both choose the excellent cornbread and side salad. My wife choose sweet potato fries and I chose the "dusted" fries - today's dusting was salt and vinegar. All the sides were great but the star was the smoked whole 1 1/4lb lobster. Honestly - the lobster meat was tender and juicy and the smoke was present without being over powering. May be my favorite way of eating a lobster. Everything was fantastic.
