I have never enjoyed eating chicken breakfast as much as I did the day I visited bb.q chicken Milpitas. We took the leftover home and reheated it the next day in air fryer to help maintain its crispy form and prevent it from overcooking; I couldn't believe how tasty, juicy and fresh it was. My friend and I visited the restaurant for dinner and ordered one serving of boneless chicken in secret sauce and one order of wings in spicy golden original. Both chicken breast and wings were super juicy cooked to perfection. Each other comes with 8 pieces of chicken which can fill 2 easily. We also ordered Ddeok-Bokki which was new to both of us. If you want to experience the mouth watering Korean food you see on the social media this is the restaurant to check out. The menu also offers Japanese beers and Korean hard liquor besides variety of soft drinks. The staff were welcoming and friendly and even though you order at the counter the manager would come out and check on customers to see if everything's ok and they need something. This was a great experience and I would certainly return soon and 100% recommend it. read more

Size wise this fits my appetite as it's bigger than others. Soju and beer is served here and place is small but clean. The cherry on top is they have rose tteokboki and it's delicious. Ambience: A funky odor hits you when you walk in the door. This tiny shop with only a handful of tables had literally FOUR large screens blaring Fox News interviewing Donald Trump. I'm a sucker for Korean fried chicken and this is my new fave go to spot when I get that craving. The breading is super crunchy and thin, while the chicken is juicy and piping hot. My personal favorite is the bone-in garlic soy: super savory with a slightly sweet tang and not obnoxiously salty. The downside to having freshly fried chicken is the wait time. I'm totally okay with waiting 15-20 min when dining in, but it's taken up to 40-50min at times. I've had their Rose Tteokbokki, Gangjeong boneless chicken and Galbi chicken wings. Best Rose Tteokbokki with the creamy, sweet, mildly spicy sauce. The sauce had a perfect ratio of sweetness and spice level that you can still enjoy the flavors without overwhelming your taste buds. The rice cakes were chewy but soft enough that you don't feel like you're chewing forever. I always get it with cheese for extra $2. The Gangjeong chicken had very similar flavor to the Galbi chicken with the Gangjeong having mild spicy flavor. Chicken was always crispy for both the wings and boneless version, even when slathered with sauce. The usual wait if you order at the location is about 20 to 25 minutes, so order ahead of you're taking it to go. Nice open dining area. The front staff are friendly. Free parking with the big parking lot but could be difficult to find a spot during peak hours with all the other restaurants in the same plaza. read more

Had this place a few times now at 2 different locations. Food/wings were pretty good. I like the different sauces they offer, and the skin is pretty crispy. Service however is pretty lackluster. I paid over $40 for a 12 piece and some Dae-Boki. Took 30 minutes to prepare, which I didn't mind THAT MUCH. But I noticed my 12 piece wings sitting on the counter for over 10 minutes, while I waited for the Dae-bokki. Now I don't know which process/systems they use here, but the wings shouldn't be sitting on the counter getting cold. I'm here and paid premium for HOT CRISPY WINGS. Now I'm writing this review, waiting for my wings REFIRE, since they said it would be another 30 min AFTER calling them out on this issue!! Big maybe if I'm coming back, there's Vons, Bonchon, and wingstop all in the same area. Too bad, because this place had a slight step up. They offered several flavors to add on to the chicken orders. All the flavors sounded great but that particular day I was feeling like having spicy food so I chose the Red Chak Chak which is in powder like form and the chicken is rolled on the top half of the chicken. I was pleasantly surprised how good the spice and seasoning were. As for the French fries, I thought they were delicious as well. The real surprise was the pickled radish and how yummy it was. It added a sweetness that enhanced the flavor to the already delicious chicken. Customer service was excellent!!! The host was very accommodating and patient as I could not make a flavor choice for the chicken. He politely explained in detail all of the tastes individually which helped me make up my mind. The rose tteokbokki here is the BEST. We love the cheesling fries also - it is always loaded with seasoning and the fries are crispy. Japchae is decent and the bulgogi in it is delicious. I would definitely try the bulgogi rice in the future. Had a slight issue with an order but the manager was apologetic and was able to unofficially "credit" me a free entree for the future. I wish the online ordering system could accommodate requests, as we dont like green onions on our dishes, but you just need to call in after placing the order to make adjustments. read more

Hands down the best Korean fried chicken chain in the Bay Area. The boneless chicken is perfectly fried, crunchy, and each piece was evenly coated with sauce. Wish the minimum order was 5 pieces instead of 8 so I could try more flavors out. Each cheesling fry is perfectly covered with their cheese powder. Not the BS you get at other restaurants where only the top middle fries have the toppings while everything else is just plain naked fries. This place is gonna big my back for sure. I have eaten here every week and enjoy it every time! My go-to flavors are honey garlic and original, but lately have been loving Galbi and Caribbean Spice!! The rose ddokbokkei is really good and so creamy I highly recommend getting it with your chicken. They also have lots of side dishes that are so good- my favorite being the sweet potato fries. We've come here twice now and unfortunately there's some issues with consistency of quality. There's definitely potential if they can fix it. The first time we got the whole chicken - half original + half secret. It was super crispy, flavorful, and juicy. The second time we got the whole chicken - half original + half spicy. The original had dry meat and a sad crust like it was fried at low heat for too long. The sauce half of the chicken had significantly less sauce than the 1st time. In both instances we ordered to-go, waited in the restaurant for the food to be ready, took it home and ate it immediately. If only they could make it as high quality and tasty as the 1st time.
