This was my second time dining at Bar Louie, and once again, it did not disappoint! A friend and I stopped in for wings, cocktails, and a little catching up, but what was supposed to be a casual evening turned into such a memorable experience! The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire evening feel effortlessly special. Our wings arrived piping hot, perfectly cooked, and generously tossed in the sauces we requested. Exactly how wings should be served! For my cocktail, I tried the Bourbon & Bratzel. It was delicious, although a little stronger in flavor than I typically prefer. The vanilla really amplified the bourbon, slightly overpowering the other flavors. Still, it was a tasty cocktail, and yes, I finished every sip! Between the welcoming service, delicious wings and flatbread and a relaxed atmosphere, Bar Louie made a simple night of catching up feel like a special occasion. Would I return? I have recently been visiting Bar Louie in my area and, unfortunately, my experiences with one of your bartenders, Elyse, have made me feel uncomfortable returning. On multiple occasions, I have found her service to be consistently unfriendly, unnecessarily slow, and unprofessional. Rather than feeling welcomed as a customer, I have felt dismissed and disrespected during my interactions with her. While I understand everyone has difficult days, this has been a repeated experience that has significantly impacted my perception of your establishment. No customer should leave feeling disrespected for simply ordering a drink. My family and I came in for the first time last night for my dads birthday dinner and we had a great experience. Thanks so much to our girl Marissa for some recs and great service I really enjoyed my red sangria and we are a family of foodies that love Cajun so we had to try the Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta as well as the shrimp and salmon alongside the Louie sandwich and the Thai Calamari app. The combo was perfect for us especially family style so we could try a little bit of everything. Last time I was here I rated this restaurant a 1 and said I would never go back. Well here I am again. Today at 12:30 pm this place is almost empty. We waited and waited for our waitress and finally I got up and got a menu from the bar. Our waitress wasn't friendly and kinda grunted. We ordered and waited and waited for our food. I really want to be able to rate Bar Louie better, the food was good, but the service tanked it. We've come here a few times before. This visit was a mixed review. We enjoyed our food and I have only positive feedback for the kitchen. My burger was really tasty and cooked medium as requested, plus I loved that sunny side up egg on it. The fish and chips were fried up just right. We each had the Samuel Adam's summer ale on tap, it's such a perfectly refreshing and light beer. Ambiance of the place is good. It's a relaxed spot. Bar is situated in the center and tables around it. TVs with sports on. The food came out of the kitchen quickly, once we ordered. Those are the positives. I kinda knew when we sat down it would be one of those experiences where service is left to be desired. We sat at the bar, and we noticed the guy to the left was trying to flag down someone to get his order taken. No one really acknowledged us for a bit, even though they walked by many times. I made a joke that the theme of the evening was "how little eye contact can the bartenders make with customers" lol. We got a menu from the patron to the left of us, before a bartender ever came over. So we looked, had plenty of time to decide. Made our selections and then hoped we wouldn't need much else. I did notice that bartender was quick to ask if we needed another pint of beer once the first round was low. Hey, priorities right?! lol. My friend and I went to Bar Louie for happy hour on Monday when they have all day $8 martinis. I highly recommend. I got the diva martini which is the perfect summer drink and is made with pineapple vodka. I also got the buffalo chicken flatbread which was a great price on happy hour (before 6pm). It was perfectly crispy and had the perfect tanginess. I loved that we got it with ranch instead of blue cheese. Our waiter was super kind and friendly. He chatted with us a little bit between our service. We sat outside which I enjoyed. There was music playing in the background which was great background while me and my friend caught up. Really disappointing experience. The staff, especially the bartender, were rude, dismissive, and barely acknowledged us. They have TouchTunes, so I was spending my own money to play music, including upbeat and Spanish songs, but the bartender repeatedly skipped the songs I paid for and kept playing nothing but slow country/Zach Bryan. If you don't want patrons choosing the music, don't have TouchTunes taking their money. It was frustrating to pay for songs just to have them skipped, while the staff controlled what played. The whole place felt unwelcoming, and I ended up leaving. Definitely won't be back! read more

Here today for lunch in Tempe Arizona. We stopped at the marketplace mall. Walking into the mall, the first place we saw was a Bar Louie restaurant. Since we have a gentleman in our group named, Louie, he wanted to stop, it was calling him. We had the privilege of being served by a young lady named Priscilla. She was perfect. Gave us some good recommendations. We ended up having the Louis special, which is you get a super salad and then you pick your choice of entrée. We had the fish sandwich. We had the burger and we had the flatbread? and then at the end a special comes with some little donut holes. They're not just one or two pieces. It gives you a probably a dozen donut holes and you get some hot fudge with it. Everything was so tasty. We will be back in this to this restaurant when we're in this side of town again. After a fun event, I came over here later on in the evening around 9 PM with a friend and we decided to just chill out on the patio. We just chatted the night away, watching the people walking by and looking at the beautiful Christmas lights decorating the trees. One of my favorite things to eat here are the burgers. Date Night at Bar Louie We decided to check out Bar Louie for date night, and overall, it was a pretty cool vibe. When you walk in, there's a big "please seat yourself" sign, which I thought was a nice, laid-back touch. We grabbed a table, and within seconds, someone greeted us with menus--love that! Shortly after, our server came over with waters and took our drink orders (water for me, Heineken Zero for hubby). We started with the Trio Appetizer--chips with salsa, queso, and guac. The salsa and queso were solid, but the guac? Definitely needed some help. It was super bland, so I added a squeeze of lemon, a little salt, and some salsa to give it life. Next up, soups! I had the Tomato Basil and hubby went with the French Onion. Both were comforting and flavorful. For dinner, I ordered the BLT&A Salad with Bruschetta, while he had the Cajun Salmon & Shrimp. Both dishes came out looking great, and the flavors matched the presentation. What really made the night stand out was the service. Our server was attentive without hovering, checking on us often (which is a HUGE plus in my book--nothing worse than being forgotten about until you're ready for the check). I LOVE Bar Louie at Tempe Marketplace. They have the best bartenders and staff. From Shawn to Jack to Dallas to Elise to Alex to Cash, you'll have the best service. Plus, INCREDIBLE happy hour specials and absolutely delicious food. I cannot recommend this place enough. Fun Fact, the management went out of their way to let me know my apartment complex may have been on fire and to leave immediately to resolve that. Took about 5-7 minutes to be greeted. I think the outside servers thought I was the other persons table. Either way, I finally got greeted by Darin and he provided excellent service. He forget a thing or two but I came right before they started picked up again. I got there around 715 or so. Drinks were good and so wat my chipotle burger. Over the years I would have to say the service is eh. It is so so. If you sit at the bar they don't really check up on you or have a sense of urgency to refill your water. I don't really go to bar louie for the service at all. I go for the Tuesday burger special or lunch specials. It's the location and food specials that really bring me in. The tomato soup today was more like gravy. It wasn't smooth and creamy like before. It was very thick. Very off putting for a soup. I ordered what I always order - nashville hot chicken sliders. Just like in Chicago, these are great with the ranch sauce. Others ordered beers and sandwiches. The service was pretty quick. In Chicago, the service is lightning quick. The inside looks similar to the Chicago one. It's not the greatest ambience or color scheme.
