Look at these corn dogs!

Blown away! The owner Patrick was ridiculously awesome and each staff member that we encountered was spot on. From suggesting their signature drink to bringing pens and paper for the littles to color on, this place felt like home. We traveled from Seattle and had experienced our fair share of meh BUT not here. The food was outstanding and the specials made it way worth bringing our entire family of 5. Value, service and atmosphere this hidden treasure will not disappoint. Habanero wings.....bonus

Music, drinks and good company while watching the 3 point shoot out, with a lil evening food for Valentine's Day, our bartender was great! Now the tall bobcut blond bartender, was rude n made some snide comments about our bartender, so not cool!!!

Superb fish tacos with a beautiful view!

Wow, this little place rocks! Was hungry and thirsty, walked in, passed a couple of pool tables, got a window seat with a beautiful view. My husband and I shared a plate of tacos. I think they were the best double tortilla fish tacos with sliced avocado on top we've ever had. Thank you to Jose who made them! My husband liked his Jack and Coke and I enjoyed my Arnold Palmer. Indi, our bartender/waitress, was so nice and gracious, she made our experience wonderful. We liked the fish tacos and service so much, we went back the next day!

Annie Abraham- best bartender EVER

Review for bar only! I don't make it here as often as I'd like, mostly because I'm primarily based in San Diego. But when I get a chance to visit Santa Cruz (every 6-8 weeks or so), I love to stop by the Bay Bar and Grill for great drinks, exciting company, and interesting conversation (oh I have stories, believe you me ::winks conspiratorially::). Every now and then I get lucky and Annie Abraham is tending bar. Those late afternoons that turn into memorable nights are by and large my favorite times and fondest memories of Santa Cruz. She is able to whip up the perfect drink based solely on whatever I'm in the mood for, and it never disappoints. "Something fruity, but not too sweet, and strong, but I don't want to taste the alcohol." A seemingly impossible request, right? WRONG, Annie conjures up a concoction that fits the bill in every way, shape, and form. And after a couple of those "whatchamacalits," I'm ready to party all night! Thanks, Annie, for making the Bay Bar and Grill the perfect reprieve from an otherwise mundane day and never failing to make my night somehow transform into "THE BEST NIGHT EVER" each time I can make the trip to my old stomping grounds of dear old SC.

Thank you Patrick!!!

It's great that they have pool tables. The tap list is limited, but they did have a few craft offerings.

Located on Roosevelt Row, Taco Boy's has a parking lot. It's not big, but I found a spot on a Thursday evening. Ambiance (3.5/5): Taco Boy's is a little chaotic. You order at the counter and then they call your name when your food is ready. It's not a large taco joint, and it's a popular taco joint. Which means you'll see a lot of people cycling in and out, as a lot place to-go orders too. Not the most calm experience, but not an issue for me. You'll also come out smelling like meat lol. They have an open kitchen, and it smells fantastic. The downside is that it sticks to your clothes, too. Service (4/5): Service isn't a big part of the experience, but for what it is, it's pretty smooth. They took my order quickly, I paid relatively quickly, and my food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Drinks (5/5): I'm a sucker for agua frescas. Taco Boy's delivers. They had four flavors available. I went with the pineapple/mango. It's served in a large cup. Good stuff. Food (5/5): I wasn't terribly hungry so I got a small barbacoa quesadilla. Outside of quesadillas, they have tacos, vampiros, and burritos. Your choice of meat including usual suspects like carne asada, al pastor, chicken, etc. They grill all of their food right in front of you and it's absolutely delicious. Fresh off the grill. Flavorful. Well marinated. Quality meats and ingredients. At the complimentary salsa bar, you can stock up on various sauces, limes, cucumbers, etc. I can't wait to get back to have a heartier meal and try out more of their items. Hands-down, the best Mexican food I've had in Phoenix so far (after a year and a half).

When I got married we had Tscos Huicho come at the end of our reception and served up street tacos to all of our inebriated friends and family. It was a hit! Literally nobody remembers the formal dinner meal we ate, but everyone remembers DEM TACOS! I'm not sure if they still do catering, but if they do, it is a fun crowd pleaser and affordable. The location is weird, like in a neighborhood. Just keep driving--you'll see it, but the first time I went there I thought I was lost and finally spotted it! They've remodeled and expanded the eating area which is great because before it was so busy and you felt crammed, but don't go expecting some high end taco shop. I felt like the fanciest person there when I went since I went on my lunch break in business casual. Honestly I don't care as long as the tacos keep coming out bomb.

Usually I'm camped outside with a few cocktails and I stagger my order. Just to be clear, my favorite item here is the Carne Asada Sope!!! Service was great as they gave the family recommendations. Teenagers went for the (classic Azteca & burrito Mio) burritos and birria tacos. The consommé to them was on point as they finished it all on the burritos. Greedy kids also split one of my Sope's seeing how I hyped it up... and left crumbs!!! Salsa bar is located in the corner and labeled so you don't go blazin hot unexpectedly with a salsa. For the adults, we decided to go with the Asada Fries for the group to share, the Mulitas with Carne Asada, Steet taco combo with rice & beans, horchata's and of course a Margarita (or 2) It was a bit to hot for the patio our front that evening, and they do have a another one out back. The only downside was that that bathroom was down for the night so we didn't hang out for a round 2.
