As I walked in the first thing I noticed was the whole store was rearranged. All I came here to buy was fluorescent light bulbs. I mean I managed to find them quite quickly but even so the aisles were much longer than before. As anyone shopping for anything now many of the expensive items are locked up, which makes the shopping experience not so easy like it used to be. Just glad I was only looking for light bulbs and not something that was locked up. I have been a customer of the Ace Hardware stores for many years and only because I don't have to wonder through a bunch of items like your big hardware stores. Changes sometimes takes one to get used to but I don't often stop at this store very often so it's a good thing for me. This store is very busy on weekends and glad I have the opportunity to shop during the week. One thing I can say is that they always have good employees that are helpful. The store is kept up pretty much and service is good. I will probably stop by again when I am nearby.

When I asked for help finding the item, the worker hovered staring right at us until we made a decision. With different brands/options, we were looking to shop around, but with someone right there staring at you, it's kinda hard to review all the info and compare prices to other places online. Whether I needed 5/8" grade 8 bolts to mount a monster vise to my work bench or 8/32" filister head machine screws for a 1948 bench grinder, these guys pretty much have it all. The owners are super helpful, friendly and just all around great people. This 2nd generation family owned and OPERATED hardware store has had several setbacks since the original Owners (Tony & Martha) passed away handing it down to their children who are now running the business. Times have certainly changed - and the family owned businesses in our community are working much harder to keep up with the chain type stores. Many people in Glendale and the entire Valley knew Tony & Martha personally and their children as they grew up in the business. This store so small was often referred to as - IF YOU CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE - GO TO T&M - THEY HAVE EVERYTHING - and very seldom did a customer leave empty handed, because somewhere in that small - fully packed store with wall to wall products -- they had what you needed. If not Tony knew where you could get it, if it wasn't in our valley he would bring it in from out-of-town and you would come back for it in a few days. No internet or Amazon back in those days, mind you. lol The same customer service still existing this neighborhood Hardware Store and I find it sad to see that "YELP" Has listed it as "PERMANENTLY CLOSED" Because it is NOT - IT IS OPEN! Do to several setbacks and now the Covid-19 situation (which we pray will end soon) the store has cut hours) -- the main change is fewer employees and instead of circles taped or painted on the floor 6' apart all over the store . . . . You just ring the bell we answer from where ever we are in the store, take your order or description and go pull it. Three of them had already been waiting for more than 20 minutes. After being there for 30 minutes we call the corporate office to complain. My Husband is a disabled vet and was beginning to feel ill. at this time there were about 15-20 people waiting and I could not get a hold of any of the employees to tell them we had to leave. We called corporate again and explained the situation, they told us to reach out to the owner, that they would try and help us but we needed to do that first. I asked a young employee for help but he seemed to be new so he walked up the isle to Robert to ask for help. Robert yells "what do you want?!" The kid says something & Robert says "go help her, I'm busy" as he's NOT helping anyone. Then he tells the kid "go get someone else to help her. What does she want?!"
