Well, I was right in the middle of a job needing it for a long haul when it began acting up really bad. It would chug at stop lights and it was behaving like it wasn't getting fuel... and it finally even died on me. Well, thank god I was able to get it to a local mechanic and when calling all my friends on who they would use, many of them cited the same place and it was Scott Repmans off Bell. Especially because I've got a diesel and I know they require a special touch. Well, not only was I expecting the bill to be much higher but I honestly wasn't expecting to get it back until Thursday or even Friday. Turns out it was a sensor for the accelerator and they had it ready for pickup on Monday by 3pm! It drives BETTER than even before the problems began and I now know where to take it for my tune-up and maintenance like oil changes. Super thrilled with this place and will recommend them along with my buddies now.

Jacob (Jake) was so kind, accommodating, and professional. I could tell that he, the techs, and the shop foreman really cared about us and getting our van in tip-top shape. They made us very happy, and for a decent price, too. I'll be taking all three of our vehicles to Repman's from now on, and I'll be telling anyone willing to listen to me in Laveen that the drive is well worth it! I for one don't mind driving to the right folks to get quality and dependable work done; it beats being ripped off and/or getting less than the best from more local shops.

I wish I could give zero stars and I wish I had read all of these horribly negative reviews here…read moreBEFORE I took my car there. I asked my neighbors in my community through Facebook, who they would recommend. One person recommended Champs. BIG, BIG MISTAKE. Though I appreciated what was meant to be helpful advice from my neighbors, I ended up in a very bad situation of being horribly ripped off by Champs. I am now in the process of a small claims lawsuit against them. There are far too many corrupt and unethical mechanics out there but he takes the cake. I was trying my best to avoid this but it happened anyway. I dropped the ball by not bothering to read all of their horrifically negative reviews on Yelp. I was quoted $500 for the work and authorized it. When it was completed the price doubled. Nothing changed or was added to the scope of work. They refused to explain this. In addition they broke the interior console and left lots of grease on my seats and dash, which I had to clean with degreaser. When I asked that they replace the broken console, the owner laughed and said "Your car is old and things break and I'm not paying for it." Btw, My car was in pristine shape. I have no kids, no pets, I don't smoke and don't even eat in my car. In fact, I'm meticulous about keeping my car looking new. I asked him to cover the cost of replacing the console by at least taking $50 off the work. He said, " I don't give away free money." I replied, "You broke my car. " He said, "Too bad, I'm not paying for it." This man was one of the most unprofessional, rude and volatile people I've ever encountered. In fact, he made me feel like he would physically assault me even though I was treating him with respect and patience. My experience at Champs was worse than I could have ever feared. As I said, if I had only read the horrifying reviews, this wouldn't have happened to me. I wish I had chosen one of the other suggestions. I hope this helps someone else not make this same mistake. My advice: appreciate the intended help but please read the Yelp reviews beforehand. Hopefully this man will have to pay for damaging my car in a court of law. I'm 64, have cancer and don't deserve this but I now have to fight for justice. Don't end up in my shoes. Update: First and foremost, EVERYTHING he said in response is a lie. EVERY single thing. He's trying to deceive readers to save himself potential business. I find it interesting that he reveals his first name because he told me his name is Champ. Secondly, him addressing me as "Dear Sherri" is laughable. He was as rude and nasty as one can get to my face. Again, he's trying to create a false impression. Lie after lie after lie will not work with most consumers. People see through unscrupulous people like him. I wouldn't put out this much effort if he were innocent of any of what I contend. One particularly egregious lie he told is he claims my car is 23 years old. He does this to create the impression that my car is old and beat up. The truth is my car is a 2012. In actuality it's only 13 years old and WAS in pristine condition before I unfortunately chose to take it to Champs. I'm sure he will try to edit his lie but that's what screenshots are for. The bottom line here is that unethical, dishonest people like him will easily lie to cover their behaviors. Most consumers understand this reality and will heed my warnings. I don't want others to find themselves in my position.

I got what I paid for and it needed some TLC mechanically. When I took it to Honda to get an oil change, they advised me that it had an oil leak and needed an inspection to the tune of $250 to diagnose the problem. I reached out to a friend who is car-savvy for advice on where to take it, and he pointed me here. The scheduler was super friendly and efficient and got me on the books a few days after my call. The vibe was completely different than the dealership, as I felt like the folks at Max Automotive genuinely cared about getting me taken care of and figuring what the issue was with the vehicle. They also understood that at over 20 years old and nearly 200,000 miles, I wasn't going to perform any heroics for this car. We came up with a good plan to keep the car running for as long as possible with as minimal maintenance as possible. I look forward to working with the team here for maintenance of my new old car.

Very disappointing experience with Max Automotive…read more I brought my vehicle (2016 V6 Mustang) to Max Automotive on 9/30/26 to have the thermostat replaced. When I arrived, I was told there was coolant everywhere, that it would need to be cleaned up, and that they would need to take a look at it. I simply asked how much that additional work would cost. Instead of giving me an estimate or even offering to inspect the vehicle, I was told, "We're not going to do this. There are many automotive places you can take it to." That response was extremely disappointing and a complete waste of my time. I brought my vehicle to an automotive repair shop expecting them to diagnose the issue, explain what needed to be done, and provide an estimate so I could make an informed decision. If Max Automotive wasn't willing or able to handle the situation, they could have simply said so when I initially scheduled the appointment rather than having me bring the vehicle in. I understand that not every repair shop can or wants to take on every job, but dismissing a customer after they have made the trip to the shop and refusing to even provide an estimate is poor customer service. I would not recommend Max Automotive based on this experience.

I also made the mistake of trying to remove the fuel pump while the gas tank was still full, so fuel spilled all over the back seat of my car and my garage floor. It made my house REEK of gas. Although I knew the fuel leak was from overflow due to the fuel pump locking ring being removed while the tank was full, I did want to take my chances and do more damage. I did my research and decided to contact London Autowerks since they were the closest Audi specialty shop. They were very cool and understanding about my car needing to be towed to their shop and have it parked overnight since I am unable to do it during business hours. In a short time, they were able to fix and diagnose my issues by doing a fuel tank integrity test, fuel pressure test and then installing the proper fuel pump and new rail sensor. They even cleaned the spilled fuel from the back of my car to where you can't smell a hint of the spilled fuel. Jennifer was awesome and the communication was stellar. The price was also very fair, considering how pricey these Audi fuel pumps are. 10/10 would definitely recommend their services especially if you drive a VW/Audi!
