They were helpful and responded back saying that they didn't do the type of work that I was looking for, but they were quick to respond.

cargo hitch on odyssey, highly recommend work done promptl, would or hesitate to use again

It was a pleasure to work with Eric from our initial phone call through to adding a switch that he wasn't aware of for our Ford Maverick. He ordered and installed this part on his own dime. Very helpful, educated us on hooking up our new vehicle to our motorhome. Just in time for a week long trip that went, "without a hitch"! Thanks Eric for a great experience. Would recommend this company for all of your hitch and towing needs! read more

Great place with many locations , I met the owners Stacy and Ron Hayes they are great down to earth people that truly care about their customers and and employees and it shows by the great customer service I always get when I go to buy my welding supplies.. Local owner and operator business are so far a few between these days and it feels good to know my hard earned dollars I spend there are at the local level and not some big corporates chain and why I will continue to give my patronage to Verns Welding Supply ! read more

Great service, fast and reasonable price. Hitch install on my Rover in less than an hour. Thank you

I purchased an Eco-Hitch Hidden tow hitch receiver from Torklift Central for my Subaru Forester. With just 500 miles on my new Forester, I wanted to find a local business I could trust. I reached out to three different local businesses requesting installation & wiring assistance. I'm busy. You're busy. Life is busy. One of the businesses I reached out via Yelp. I also sent an email and left two voice mails. No response. The second business I reached out to offered to help me, but wasn't familiar with the Eco-Hitch, their labor prices were high and more importantly, their work isn't guaranteed (since I didn't buy the hitch from them) The last business I reached out was Lewis Hitches. Eric responded to my email immediately. He was familiar with Eco-Hitch receivers and was so prompt to reply to my emails. I don't always have the luxury of stepping away from my desk at work to make a phone call so I was incredibly appreciative of Eric's communication with me via email! I did call him after reading so many other happy reviewers on Yelp and confirmed I'd love his assistance with my Subie! I drove to Lewis Hitches located in Chandler all the way from my residence in Peoria to secure their business. They're located off Warner. Incredibly easy to find! I showed up when they opened at 8 am. Super clean parking lot. Super clean entryway. I was greeted immediately when I walked in & explained my appt. Handed off my keys and made the trek back home. My Forester was ready for pick up around 1 pm. You guys. The installation is so clean and so awesome. It honestly looks better than OEM and better than if it came straight from the Subaru factory. I could not be happier! The communication from Eric. The customer service. The transparency. Their pricing. The installation. Everything was top-notch. Highly recommended to my friends & fellow Yelp'ers! read more

Eric at Lewis's hutches was awesome to work with. My schedule was tight and he was able to meet the need. His price was remarkably better than two other shops in east valley. All around successful experience. read more

They did an excellent repair on a jack I bent on my horse trailer. The pricing was fair and the work was very good. I highly recommend them!

Eric was great to work with !!! I am a Sales Mgr at Toyota Dealership and he assisted me with having a Tow Hitch installed on my personal vehicle. His price for parts and labor was significantly lower that what every Dealership and Aftermarket Hitch Installer in the Phoenix Metro Area. He installed Factory Recommended CURT Receiver Hitch and I am very pleased with his professional service. I certainly will be recommending my customers and client base to him for their receiver hitch needs. read more

Great work at good price. Got me scheduled quickly and was accurate about the 1 hour install.

Excellent service and price. I won't use anyone else for hitch/trailer/horse trailer needs!

I was looking for a place to get a stealth hitch installed on my Tesla 3. I am so glad that I found Eric and Lewis Hitches. Eric was very helpful from the start. He got the parts ordered and scheduled me for installation. The installation was quicker than I expected and when I picked up my car, Eric took the time to go over how to use the hitch properly. I could not be more pleased with Lewis Hitches. read more

Fast service and good price. Got the wrong hitch on first visit didn't fit my car even though the manufacturer said it would. Got a replacement in one day and installed. No complaints read more

If you need a hitch put on your car or truck, this is the place to go, especially if you have a complicated setup and need to be sure everything is installed correctly. There's a long waiting list and now I know why. Eric does outstanding work! I had everything installed on my car: hitch, wiring harness, bar mount ball, 7-way plug, P2 brake controller, and all the wiring needed to make it all work. When I saw the completed job, you could see how every aspect was done thoroughly and carefully, even the way the wires were meticulously secured. Eric was also friendly, honest, and a pleasure to work with. I've taken the time to write this review to thank Eric for doing such a good job and to encourage others to use his services. If everyone did the kind of stellar work Eric does, the world would be a better place! read more

Lewis Hitches was recommended to me by a trusted mechanic. I went in to get my Casita trailer wheel bearings repacked and my axle inspected. My experience with Eric and his crew was great. Highly recommend! read more

We cannot say enough great things about Erik at Lewis Hitches. He and his staff did a fantastic job with a new hitch and trailer brake on our 2017 Infiniti QX60. It is a very tight fit to get a hitch on that SUV, and it looks great. The trailer brake is high quality, and when I came to pick it up they took the time to walk me through how the receiver works, how the trailer brake works, and he tested the 7-pin connector for me on their testing machine to show that everything was wired correctly. Erik even walked me through how to adjust the trailer brake to get the best performance. Don't go to U-Haul and have some random person slap a hitch on your vehicle. Go to a quality shop that specializes in this product. You'll never regret paying a little more to get high quality. read more

Spent a couple hours calling and driving around looking for a specific part. Eric had it and was cool.

Just bought a BMW X5 45e and wanted a trailer hitch installed. I was concerned about making sure nothing was damaged in installation since I wasn't able to find a BMW installer. After messaging several times with Lewis Hitches, I got very comfortable with what they could offer with a stealth hitch installation. I felt even better about it when I went in to talk and made an appointment after a thorough walk through and discussion on how it would work. Installation went flawlessly and we've now loaded up a cargo carrier and driven it across the state and to Colorado. It works solidly and I'm very happy with it! read more

In todays challenges of trying to provide a service provider who cares, I was taken back by the overall experience of using Lewis Hitches to install air bags on my Chevy 3500. Even though I hd made an appointment, I needed to change it due to the truck being in for service, Eric worked with me and said bring it in when you can and we will work it in between jobs. 24 hours later, my truck was completed. The quoted price was on the dot. They certainly have me as a long term customer given their customer service, pricing and high quality work. Thank you for everything. read more

Simply the best trailer service shop I've ever run into. Every time I have something done here I'm impressed with the service and care. The owner always takes the time to explain everything he did in detail, and anything you need to know to follow up on. Prices range from reasonable to surprisingly inexpensive. Last time I had a set of brakes done they charged less for the parts than what I could find online. When you make a reservation for service they take you right in and get it done fast. read more

Did a great job done in one day will be using for the future the trailer hitch looks and works great .

These guys are first class, had some rails installed and they helped to facilitate a spray in bed liner for me that came out great! I have since ran into a time bind on a hitch issue and they took care of it in real time to get me back on the road. Only hitch location I'll use. read more

I drive a Range Rover Sport and I needed to have the wiring done for a camper. After talking to Richard, he was very honest with me and told me he didn't feel comfortable adding the wiring from all the research he did. He directed me back to Land Rover to have the wiring done and the computer system updated to reflect the changes. Although it was more expensive he kept saying "Its the right thing to do" which anyone can appreciate. I came back to Richard to have him install the electric break controller and I also purchased a stabilizing sway bar. Richard was able to squeeze me in next day and I was more than grateful. Very honest and respectful businessman. read more

Upon first meeting both Richard (Owner) and Eric (Employee) I thought they were going to be able to help me out without an issue. I explained to Richard that I had recently purchased a used RV 5th Wheel, that I need the used 5th wheel hitch that came with the RV installed in the bed of my truck and that I was new to operating a 5th wheel. I would need rail and brace kit that would fit my truck install and then the used Husky 16KW 5th Wheel Slider/Glider hitch install. I dropped my truck off and waited for the installation to be done and was called 3 hours later upon completion. I picked up the truck and figured everything was just fine and no additional instruction was given. Now know that I was new to 5th wheels you'd think they would've given me a little instruction but none was given. I met with the seller of the 5th wheel trailer I purchased where I was given very detailed instruction on to use the hitch. I knew how to properly hook up and disconnect and how to use the slider and why the slider was so important with my 6ft.6" short box. I was told make sure you have the hitch in the rear position when making and tight turns or maneuvers. I drove my trailer home for the first time. I approached my driveway and did as instructed and moved my slider hitch into the rear position for maneuvering a tight turn while backing into my driveway. AS I BACKED UP THE HITCH SLID FORWARD AND SHATTRED THE BACK WIDOW OF MY BRAND NEW TRUCK. Why did this happen? Upon further investigation I found that the 5th wheel hitch that I just paid for to be installed by Lewis Hitch a supposedly professional hitch installation shop had not inspected it properly or adjusted my hitch to the manufactures specs. I called Husky (the manufacture) and their technical people helped me through the problem. Husky technical professional told me that adjustment on the slider mechanism is required on every installation and should be provided by any professional hitch installation shop whether new or used. I took my truck to Cliff's Welding in Mesa and Wes there helped me adjust the slide mechanism so that the hitch would lock both in the forward position and rear position. This took just 5 minute and I assisted Wes so I could learn exactly how to perform this procedure. 5 Min for me to do it! Wow! It probably would've taken a professional less than 2 minutes to make this adjustment. I asked Wes at Cliff's Welding if his company would have set up the hitch even though it was used making sure it locked in both directions and given it a full inspection. Wes's response was "Dean, that's just part of a normal installation. We do not want you to drive out of here and have a problem and for anyone to get hurt or any property to be damaged." I called and talked to Eric on the phone and he was very rude and cursed at me. I stopped back in to Lewis Hitch to pick up some metal parts and leave without any discussion. When I arrived I waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes when the staff had known that I was inside the office (because they have a buzzer). I finally walked into the shop where I had met Richard (the owner) again and said "I'm here to pick up my metal work". He said "Do you have a problem!". (Because he already knew that I'd gotten into it with Eric on the phone. I said "Yeah I have a problem Eric was rude to me on the phone and you guys never inspected or adjusted my hitch and made use it worked properly. I relied upon Lewis Hitch to make sure everything was set up safely and correctly with my hitch and I paid you for that service and now I have a broken window on my truck." Richard said "You supplied a used piece of sh*t 5th wheel hitch and we do not take any responsibility for your used equipment." I responded "I called your competition and they said looking over any 5th wheel hitch that is used and provided by a customer and adjustment is standard to the installation at no additional cost and that they want to make sure the hitch is safe and secure". I asked "why didn't you do this?" Again the response from Richard was "You supplied a used piece of sh*t 5th wheel hitch and we do not take any responsibility for your used equipment." I asked for my metal parts so I could pay him and leave and Richard (the owner mind you) said "Now your metal parts just cost you $200". I said "What!?" (knowing he only did about 20 minutes worth of work on those parts because all he had to do was drill three holes in a metal tube I provided) "Richard, those are my parts and that is my metal. Do I need to call the police???" Richard then responded and said "Here's your parts now Get The F*ck off my property. DO NOT BRING YOUR TRUCK OR TRAILER TO LEWIS HITCH FOR ANY REASON.
