I went in to do a return of a tool that was already open. I was told that I couldn't return it, I couldn't get a word out and explain my situation to the manager when he told me, no returns. He even told me that if I was using it correctly, then it would've gotten the job done. Then dismissed me. The young girl at the counter had to apologize on his behalf. His name is Felix. My family and I will not be returning to support this store. read more

If I can leave this store less than zero I will. Two weeks ago, I purchase a 5- gallon bucket of oil- based primer from you store. Before buying, I asked if the primer could be returned unopened/ unseal, and I was reassured it could be! My painter later advised against using oil-based primer, so I need it to return it. I called the store to confirm the return policy and was told it was acceptable. Today, I returned the primer with my receipt showing a30-days return for non-custom items, but my return was refused despite prior assurance. This is extremely disappointing and dishonest, especially since your staff seemed clueless and careless. read more

Jalicia was so helpful. Found me the correct batteries I needed. I was confused as to what to buy at a great price.

They stock dewalt drill batteries but not Milwaukee. Call yourself a hardware store and dont even carry the most common tools. Weak selection read more

I will NEVER buy from Ace hardware (any of them) again! This specific Ace refused to let me return 2 defective ice chests that I still have the receipt for and had purchased only 2 week prior, claiming they were seasonal (yet still had ice chests on their shelves for sale). I drove 3 hours each direction (previously found out the hard way you have to return items where you purchased them since while they are a chain, they don't give a care about customers returning defective things) and they didn't care at all that the wheels kept falling off these new ice chests. Plus, I paid over $80 for each and turns out the same thing (and no wheels falling off) were only $50 at Sams club (which has never let me down like this). NEVER AGAIN! read more

Brandon was fantastic help. I needed to rent a trailer and the process was quick and easy. He was a great help from finding what I needed to be trailer ready to helping me hook up trailer. When we tested the trailer the lights didn't work so we troubleshooted and it ended up being my truck. Turns out my fuse blew. Brandon quickly went and found what I needed we put it in and it worked perfectly with the trailer. Brandon is fantastic no matter how many times I kept going in and out of the store today. read more

I'm honestly just writing this review because this location Ace Hardware deserves more good reviews. I visit this place multiple times a month and the whole staff is always nice and very helpful when you can't find an specific item. Today Joe was the one helping me and he's an awesome man and very knowledgeable. They also have very good prices and always fully stocked! read more

Ace is the place ...... let me tell you. I'm really digging shopping at Ace. It's small, comfortable, always someone available with no lines at register. First time at this one. It has more than what I needed and found a huge selection on sharpening stones. Yup, that's all I needed. Not just one choice but about 7 choices. As I wandered around it wasn't but about 4 minutes when Kevin(young lad) asked if I needed help. Not only did he show me one place they had them but another section. He personally walked me to both places and didn't just drop me there but made sure I looked around and asked if there was anything else I needed help finding. The store was clean well organized and surprisingly have a huge selection of anything I would need. I'm impressed. I guess Ace is the place......... read more

I took a window screen in there on a Wed essay afternoon to see if they could repair or rebuild it. George helped me. He said he thought they could, but his screen guy would have to look at it. He would be there in a couple of hours and they would call because they would also want payment in advance. I was okay with that. They didn't call. The next day they didn't call. Friday they didn't call. I finally went in and was told by a lady who worked there that they couldn't do anything with it. I asked why nobody called me. She said,"I don't know." Very frustrating! What ever happened to basic customer service? A 30 second phone call. And believe me, they can't claim they were busy. read more

I purchased a touch kit a few days ago and did not use it. The product was not open. I went to return it and the manager told me that he was not going too. I understand that if I didn't have the receipt but he was the one that helped me with the product . I even called corporate, but they couldn't do anything because there a franchise ace. So, for $50, they are going to lose my business for good. I will not be back in that store again. read more

I am so happy Ace came to the neighborhood. It is amazing how much they have packed into this store, but you don't feel crowded. The staff is very helpful. Hugo not only helped me find the right adapter, but grabbed the tools and put it all together for me! The young lady that checked me out was happy and friendly, even though it was early on Saturday morning! I have been in several times and the 5 star service has been consistent and greatly appreciated. Stop by and enjoy this grat store. See you soon Ace! read more

The not so helpful place, store Manager Chris, refused to accept a return of an on line item delivered to his store because it's a specialty item. The Ace Hardware return policy states an item that does not meet your needs can be returned if it has not been used. This store has a separate policy that corporate apparently so beware and this guy's attitude certainty is not in alignment with being the helpful hardware man. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! If there was a way to give this store negative stars I would. My mother(who is a retired Phoenix Firefighter and served her community for over 25 years) received horrendous treatment at this location. She was disrespected by the staff and when she reached out to Mr. Pareja himself to report the incident he yelled at her over the phone just before hanging up on her. After reading some of the other reviews I'm not surprised that the culture and standard of customer service at this location is so terrible when the owner himself is a jerk. Please don't support bad business. read more

Rode my motorcycle to go buy some things I needed and they wouldn't let me in the store because I had my backpack on. I needed my back pack to carry the things I was going to buy. My son has been working on his Jeep, he had been in this store numerous times. Today my son went in to purchase a tool and was advised he could not shop there because he did not drive there in a car. I've been in here many times (I'm halfway between a BIG box store & Ace). Sure the kids have gotten me the wrong screws a couple times, but I've always been cheerfully greeted on entry, and have never been sent to look for something solo. If you need glass work done don't come here! Apprently the owner/manager Felix is too busy doing nothing to correct his errors and mistakes. I had my window measured professionally and went to them with the measurements. 46 by 28 1/4. They wrote that on the receipt and when I went to pay I came back and they had already started to cut my glass without the measurements. the first cut they proceeded To short it by 2 inches. So, I got 46 by 26 instead the 28 1/4. We brought it back and they recut it. So, here we go a second time only to have it off by an 1/8. So, when we tried putting it in the frame it started chipping the corners from the pressure. So, we stopped and took it back hoping that 3rd time would be the charm. Mind you all the while we we remeasuring and remeasuring, because if we were off by the 1/8 I would have bought a whole nother glass. We kept getting the same measurments 46 by 28 1/4. When we get there we talk to the aforementioned Felix and he was very rude and snarky with my uncle. Stating aggressively he was not going to cut the glass again. He then proceeded to blame us for them cutting it wrong twice. When I walked into the conversation my uncle left, because of how disrespectful Felix was. Then, I tried to ask him if he was going to either fix it or give me my money back he basically said neither and to come back tomorrow when some manager whom he gave no name for would be in. I am not one for the run around I left the glass in the store and will be disputing the charge. I will also be ensuring no one i their right mind will go here to have glass work done. read more

I always come to this ace since it's around the corner from my house. I went like 3 days ago as I am remodeling my bathroom and needed some caulking, a toilet hose, and some electrical stuff. I felt profiled, I was there for 10 mins looking around for what I needed and atleast 4 different employees kept following me around. I was there with my pregnant wife, they followed me as If I was going to steal. They even came to aisle where I as looking for stuff and they pretended to fix things on the shelves in order to keep an eye on me and my pregnant wife. Terrible read more

I ordered a key for my car on May 23. Was called 2 weeks later that it was ready. I went in to have the key synced to my car. But the machine was broken. Today is July 11. Before this date, I called a few times & was told that the KEY GUY, the one that syncs the key to the car was not in. Well I show up today, they don't have the key. They can't find ANY information that I bought the key. They ask me for the receipt, I had a picture of it. But, because I CAN'T name the people I've spoken to during this time. I was told they have to review videos to make sure I was ever there. The owner stated that he is the only one that answeres the phone. NO refund, because this has to be INVESTIGATED. Well the initial guy that worked there in May IS NO LONGER employed there. No file system in place, they looked in random cubbies. I left, called back and spoke to a girl, left my name and phone number for a call back after their investigation. So no, the owner doesn't always answer the phone. I'm sure I'm out the 44.99 I paid. read more

Went to this particular Ace as it's the one that is closest to me. They are supposed to close at 8pm, I showed up at 7:38pm and there was a guy who was already closing. The only reason I rated this location as one star is because there is no lower rating. I visited this store for the first time and before I even entered, an employee who I later found out was the manager/owner, assaulted me verbally by saying, "You can't bring a bag in here. And you can't leave it up front either, so you'll have to go back and put that in your car or go somewhere else." I was startled and astonished but I did return to my car and take out my list and various hardware I was going to shop for and left the bag in my vehicle. When I returned to the front door, this same employee/manager asked in a very rude voice, "Is there anything we can help you find NOW?" As if before when I tried to enter he wasn't going to offer any help... ridiculous! I didn't even look at him but I did comment, "Not anymore, I am pretty sure I can find it myself." The whole experience made me deeply uncomfortable. I found a different employee to speed up the process of finding the specific hardware I needed and even he commented to me that he was sorry and there was nothing he could do because that man at the door was the owner! DO NOT GO to this specific ACE hardware store unless you want to be treated like crap! Additionally, after all of that, not only did I never receive an apology of any type, they would not take my coupon which I received in Illinois before I moved here to Phoenix. Overall, not worth the hassle-Take your business anywhere else but here! read more

I always enjoy shopping at this Ace! It's big and they have everything. The employees are always friendly and helpful.

Today this store accused my husband of threatening an employee when he was joking with him. The employee even laughed as my husband said he was joking. As my husband went to pay for the items In the cart, that I need for my home office, he was told that cops were being called on him and they refused to sale him the items. He has been in that store multiple times in the last month to buy items spending plenty of money in there with the receipts to prove it. The "security guard" went way over board. I will never shop here again since they want to treat loyal customers like trash. read more
