I have been going here for the last few years to get my yard tools sharpened on an annual basis. I had gone to a nearby location prior, but I found my tools did not seem very sharp so tried this shop. They consistently do a good job. About the time the season stops and "winter" kicks in, it's time for a sharpening trip. they're friendly and efficient. I'll continue going. I must say, the shop smells quite strongly of gas. I feel sorry for the employees. If I had to smell that all day, I'd probably get a headache within the hour. I don't think it's good for their health. They have a good selection of quality tools - both new and used/certified - and their staff will take the time to discuss your needs and guide you toward the appropriate tool and price point. I'm a huge fan of this friendly family owned and operated business. Discount Tool Rentals is always clean and very well organized. My Echo equipment has always been extremely reliable. I take meticulous care of my Echo products and so does Discount Tool Rentals. I have some of the more expensive Echo products and this shop does great work. I've seen other shops where you would be lucky to get all the nuts and bolts put back on or even get the same equipment back that you took in. I've been going to Discount Tool Rentals for years, I would feel very distressed taking my valuable equipment anywhere else. First I will say that the staff is quite friendly and did fix my tool that I brought to have them fix however, when I dropped my tool off I made an agreement with the manager that they would call me if the charges for the repairs were over $60 (as is wasn't worth much more than that to me) when she called me today and told me my tool was finished (after only 4 business days)but my total was almost 30 more than it should of been without getting my authorization first. They finally went down to 65.32 or something after I expressed how I wasn't pleased with the way things were handled. A fair price from a good business. I would recommend and return again read more

ABSOLUTELY NEVER AGAIN!!! First let me start by saying, they literally have no idea about customer service! I arrived to rent the machine, blonde lady at counter didn't even acknowledge our entry and left us waiting for 15 minutes before she decided to call for help. Finally assistance, the man was "RUDE", it was like he didn't want me to rent the snake..stating I needed to take it to car wash and thoroughly clean it before returning and then telling me that being inexperienced I could damage his machine. UM, how do you know what my experience level is? also, of course I would clean it and if by chance I didn't that's what your cleaning charge is for??? He brought out the machine and against my better judgment I rented the older really older machine. He stated that since I was cleaning a floor drain that he would lubricate it more. um, ok! LITERALLY, So much oil on it I couldn't even use it. The machine kept spitting the line out and tangling as I was trying to use it, Then there's the oil he used, my gloves soaked up so much oil that they became impossible to use, all in the course of 20 min. I went to return the machine and the blonde lady of front kept giving us very bad facial expression. Like she was absolutely annoyed that I would come back. I tried to explain my experience with her and she just kept rolling her eyes and telling me that I should learn how to use something before hand. EXCUSE ME, she proceeded to not listen to me at all. How am I supposed to use something covered in oil? How can you hold on to a piece of metal that is just saturating your gloves and making it impossible to hold onto? SHe charged me the FOUR hour RATE and I was trying to regardless of anything i was saying. I inquired about the 150.00 hold/charge placed on my credit card and she got very rude and sated" if you dont see it release in a few days dispute it. thats the great thing about credit cards, I asked where it states on any of the paperwork as a release or refund of the deposit and again rude...when I asked for it in writing she grabs the paperwork and writes... release in a few days! I told her flat out why are you being diffucult and acting like this.? I simply want in writing that the deposit is completely going to be refunded, she stated just call your bank and deal with it! in conclusion....I WOULD NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN AND IF YOU LIKE BEING TREATED LIKE DIRT THEN THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. read more

If I could give this business less than 1 star I would. Poor customer service. I should of known they cant work on any other brands but what they sell. I took an Expensive Yamaha in. Was told upon drop off that . ya, choke could be adjusted or fixed. Went in a week later, mechanic on duty tells me he cant get it started, charges me $40.00 So Mad I threw him an extra $20 to start a "go back to school, education fund". Went home, in 10 minutes discovered mechanic had adjusted gas knob too far over, must have been confused with auto start feature on my Yamaha. I was back within 10 minutes, was greeted outside by another rep. Was given my original $40.00 back. I asked for an employment application. I figure I could do this business justice, if that was the kind of service they provided. Please be warned. First service rep kept $20.00 of the $60 I gave the counter.
