There are definitely good ideas here, and I think a little more attention to execution and overall operations could make the experience much stronger. I still want to try those infamous clams, so I'll definitely give them another chance. I'll just make sure they're actually available before making the trip there next time.

Wow! I am appalled at the whininess of these reviews. Banhmigos is a solid 4 stars. I have had their sliced beef pho every few days now for the last couple weeks. The broth is herby and just right, balanced in saltiness, sweetness, clear and not cloudy, along with the quintessential sliced beef tenderloin, brisket, and tripe, and the nice bouncy thin linguine-like rice noodles. I'd say it is near if not on par with some of the Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown in terms of quality and consistency. Of course portion is smaller and price is higher :( For those who complained about late deliveries in this historically worst January weather. WTF? I worked in a restaurant before and have known delivery people (God bless 'em) breaking wrists and elbows slipping on black ice. So if you can't get your obese behind to walk 3 blocks to pick up your food, then just pop your weight-watcher dinner into the microwave. it will be piping hot in 5 min! Unless you are too lazy even to walk that 15 steps from your couch. All in all, Banhmigos is yet another nice addition in this decent-food deprived neighborhood of Crown Heights. read more
