Extensive menu to order from
Danita M.

This was a small but lovely atmosphere. Mural on wall, flowers on tables and music in background. Extensive menue with reasonable prices. I had large portion of orange chicken, rice and eggroll. All very good. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Parking right outside door. They can handle a large group.

Delicious hot lo mein with bbq pork onion green onion celery carrotnot over sauced, the noodle is the star of this dish. $12 is a good price. Simple and good. Lemon chicken white meat dipped and fried in a crunchy batter served with lemon sauce and lemon wedges. Elevated chicken fingers. Delicious.

Laid back and casual ambiance in the fry's shopping plaza. Still nice seating and upkeep. My husband and I were here in a Friday night and there was only 1 other table. Our server had personality and was a gem.. was she good at her job? Ehh.. lol. At one point she ran from our table mid sentence out of nowhere. We could hear here in the back asking someone if they needed help. Not sure what that was but it was okay, didn't take points for that. The issue I had was that half my ribs were cold, she forgot my soup and I had to ask for it at the end of the meal, I asked for no nuts and got nuts, and the food was just okay. Okay time here at bamboo view.

The customer service here is so friendly and fast! We came in on a Friday night and it was empty, so nice and quiet and fast, open seating. Such a hidden gem. I love this place. Eaten in twice and gotten Uber once. The food is fresh and so flavorful. Today I got the sesame chicken dinner combo and it was amazing. I have enough for second dinner later I got a lychee boba and the boba wasn't good at all, it had a weird taste. Everything else was amazing as usual.

3.5/4* Overall. Good stop close to gym, arriving just past 3PM so missed out on the lunch specials +$2 more for same (limited) entrees with soup, egg roll and cream cheese 2 won tons. Hubby got Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice $13.95 4/5*. Average size portion for dinner combo, he finished it all. Chicken red green peppers onions are sliced, with diced carrot & celery. Mild spice and good flavor, not overly sweet as most add sugar to sauce. He particularly liked the fried rice that had a smokiness to it, not greasy and good wok hei /stir fry taste. Accompanying veggie egg roll was mushy inside and cream cheese won tons, just extra calories not worth it personally, with neon red sweet sour dipping sauce, but he thought they were aok. The hot sour soup was a larger than normal cup, mostly broth, good viscosity but needed to be more tart/vinegar, spicier for warming heat and more vegetables for texture, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms and egg seemed to be missing. The BBQ Pork with Broccoli 3/5* $12.95 dinner entree had great flavor but the pork was mostly darker brown in the middle, ie dried out, and touch to chew. Portion again average, while there is good amount of cha sui and comes with white rice, no brown in the house, the bite size broccoli also was a bit tough despite it's small size. Glad that it was not overcooked but still more than toothy, needed a bit longer in the wok. Oolong tea $3.25, ouch when you are used to it being on the house like chips & salsa, or a minimal $1-2 charge. Does come in a pot so enough for 2 really. Dining room and bathrooms are nicely decorated and pleasant. Greeted when we walked in, then silence...so we asked if we should just sit anywhere haha which they acknowledged with a yes. Waitress did check on us after food arrived. Our next Bamboo View will be from the other side of the 3PM witching hour for lunch haha or full on into dinner for the expanded menu options.

Pit stickers appetizer. Deep fried but not too greasy. Tasty

Went here for lunch the other day. This place is located on the SW corner of Golf Links and Kolb. I have been here several times and it decent Chinese food. It spectacular but ok. It certainly ranks higher than those fast food Americanized versions of Chinese food. This time I got a lunch order of their house lo mein. It comes egg roll roll, soup, and rice. As you would expect, they are smaller portions than their normal entrees. I got the egg flower soup, but they also have the hot & sour soup. The lo mein was pretty good. It was a bit oily, but not too bad. I really enjoyed the amount of meat in the serving. The meat, vegetables, noodles were cooked perfectly. The vegetables still had some texture without being raw. It was seasoned well so that I didn't need to add any extra salt or sauce to appeal to my taste. I wanted to try the pot stickers. These are deep fried, but I prefer the pan fried. Still, they were not greasy and tasted nice. The provided sauce was not really useful as it had no flavor. I prefer a ginger based sauce. I ended up eating the dumplings without the sauce. There is nothing fancy about this place. The furnishings look like they have been there for 30 years and never updated. It is ok for a quick bite, but would not want to bring a date here. The server was quick and attentive. She can by several times without being overly annoying. To sum up, it was quick and acceptable for a lunchtime stop. I have been here several times before the review, and I am sure I will be back.

Chop suey with fried rice. Hot and sour soup bowl in rear.

Stopped in by myself for lunch today, about 12:30 pm. Maybe only one or two diners inside. The staff, consisting of a lone server, asked me if was going to dine in or take out and said just pick a table when I said I would dine in. I'm sure there was a cook and maybe a food chopper in the back. I was brought a menu and she took my drink order. When she brought the drink I asked for a small hot and sour soup and the beef chop suey with the fried rice, a $2 upcharge apparently. Business was slow but steady. Several more folks came in to eat as did several pick ups. Not packed this Saturday afternoon, but steady. Enough to keep the lone server busy. She brought me my soup just plain in the bowl. No fried wontons or anything to drop in the soup. It was good with a mild spicyness from the peppers but otherwise not overwhelming. The chop suey followed with the small bowl of fried rice. The chop suey was good in a tasty slightly tangy dark brown sauce. Full of various veggies, broccoli, carrots, baby corn, peas, etc., that were cooked crunchy and not soggy. She refilled my drink once without having to chase her down and ask. My server was friendly and attentive. The food was pretty good as far as standard cantonese fare is these days in Tucson. You can see the serving size in the picture. Was a pretty good size serving. And the taste was much better then most places. I think that I'll try this place a few more times with different items. I would recommend you try this place out and see what you think. It's actually been here for some time and it's also been a long long time since I was last there. Prices are now in the $13+ range for entrees

Excellent Chinese food which is sometimes difficult to find in Tucson. All the food was fresh, hot and full of tender crisp veggies. The chef knows how to serve it hot but not over cooked. Service was friendly and very quick. We had the sizzling rice soup large bowl was great for 2-3 people. The Mongolian chicken was hands-down, the best dish we've had in a long time at any Chinese restaurant. Also got the Sizzling Rice Shrimp this was also very well prepared and cooked, but it needed some spice. Top- be clear to the waitress on the item number you want. Excellent food well prepared.

We were seated and brought menus right away, for both cocktails and food. We decided to celebrate with margaritas: mango and strawberry. Both were delicious. Our server, a sweet and beautiful young lady, was so helpful, explaining things we weren't familiar with and offering suggestions. We decided to start with the shrimp and cheese-stuffed yellow peppers wrapped in bacon. They were so good! Although taking our time perusing the menu, I had already decided I wanted the whole red snapper with crispy skin. The owner came over to introduce himself and welcome us. We talked a bit and he said they had been open just a year and were still adding to the menu. For example they were going to make a quesadilla similar to the appetizer we had just enjoyed so much. He also brought the bad news that they were out of the whole fish and the next shipment was coming tomorrow. He said the fish filets were available and very good. He also suggested a combination platter of several things to try and that's what we went with. Before that came, a single Gobernador-style taco showed up: shrimp with cheese, onion, and bell pepper. Not sure how we ordered it, lol, but it was flavorful and delicious. We went with the mixed grill for two: grilled steak, shrimp, stuffed peppers, and marlin tacos, (minus the octopus - we just haven't reached the octopus level of sophistication... yet) with beans, rice, and flour tortillas. The beans were especially creamy and yummy. Everything was full of flavor and each item tasted different. The steak was well-seasoned but a bit chewy. We loved all of it, but the marlin tacos were our overwhelming favorite. The chef obviously believes in a little heat rather than spicy overload, so even those with a delicate palate should enjoy everything. So much delicious food but we couldn't manage any more, and packed up remaining steak, shrimp,, tacos, beans, rice, and tortillas.Looks like dinner for tomorrow. Even though we said we couldn't squeeze in dessert, our server brought a piece of tres leche cake for the birthday girl, boxed and ready to go. We couldn't resist a taste, so two tiny bites are missing. So creamy and decadent. The birthday girl took the rest home. La Perla's decor is light and inviting, with beachy colors and fish painted on the walls. The fish wallpaper in the ladies room is adorable. Bathrooms were immaculate, just like the rest of the restaurant. We are definitely going back soon.

My first option was to try the fish, but when I heard what type of fish they were using, I kindly declined. Opted for the calamari with a side salad with ranch I'm a settle at the calamari was good. It was nice and fresh and hot, but the salad was disgusting. I asked for ranch and they put some type of dressing which turns out to be dressing for coleslaw. I advised my waitress to her response was that's the first time I heard someone not lagging it. Interesting didn't offer to switch it out for a plain salad or to switch it for french fries especially since I paid extra to get a salad.. At our table, we also have the chicken strips which is plentiful. It's enough to feed the entire table in fact, so lots of leftovers of that that was also good because it was fresh and hot. My son went for the combo with the snow, crab legs, shrimp, potatoes, and corn. He also said it was delicious, but I don't believe I'll come back. It's unfortunate cause I really did wanna like this place, but without being offered a substitute or the exact same salad minus the dressing that was placed on it that did not taste very good at all. It was sour. For the cost of their food, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere

I may have never tasted anything more delicious. I took home more than enough for a fabulous lunch. The hub wasn't as thrilled. He's not that much of a seafood guy, enjoying ribs or steak previously, but he decided on the fish and chips for this outing. He's used to cod for battered fish and noted that hoki didn't hold together well, breaking into small pieces, some with breading and some without. The fish and the coating were under seasoned and bland. He wasn't happy with the fries, either. He expected regular fries as our server specified, but received shoestrings, some of which were overly crisp but the ones under the fish were soggy. He did praise the cole slaw. Although neither of us could finish our meal, we did order dessert. We shared the pecan caramel cheesecake and it was ridiculously delicious: smooth, tangy, and not too sweet. Just perfect. We managed to finish it and mentioned to the manager/owner? how good it was. He laughed and said no judging if we licked the plate. The ambiance of the dining room is elegance, almost vintage, and feels special. The restaurant was very busy, which I am thrilled to see, but quite noisy. We were so lucky to grab a parking space in the small front lot, because I have limited mobility. I would love a rail on either side of the small ramp because it is a little steep.
