Today, I was craving banh mi and pho, so I researched places in Bothell and found one with good reviews. It was late afternoon and not busy. The food was good; I got the large portion instead of the small because it was only a $1 difference, so I figured I could take leftovers if needed. The meals were delicious--I especially loved the bread with pork. The service, however, was not as impressive. I was given a crumpled napkin and had to get another one, hoping it wasn't used. Then, as I was heading to the bathroom, the server remarked, "Oh, you're still here?" which was a bit odd. Despite this, I left a tip and had a yummy brunch. The surroundings were at least pleasant.

A decent place to get your pho and banh mi fix. My wife always orders the veggie pho with beef broth, and it's loaded with toppings. I get the flank steak pho but am always disappointed with the meat. I know it's not filet mignon but I usually don't even eat it because it's bland and chewy. Banh mi sandwiches come loaded with pork so that's always appreciated.

Good food! Ordered on Grub Hub and it was ready to go within 8 minutes! Avocado shake was so yummy! I'm just giving a 4 star because Grub Hub had me paying $26 but I had a coupon so it came out to be $15 after tip. Still pretty pricey for food + drink, even more if you get it delivered. I opted to pick it up. I'd come back again since it's near my house, but it is pretty pricey for the food. But I mean, get the bag!! Employees work hard here and were really nice :)

Clean and packed well! Large steak and brisket pho where half of it is on the stove.. It was $12 plus tax.

I finally returned after a long hiatus and am kicking myself that I stayed away so long. The pho here is DELISH. Like, really perfectly savory and aromatic and comforting. And clean. You know they care cuz there's no long, wispy, brown ends to the bean sprouts. I'll attach a pic of my takeout container so you can see for yourself, though, full disclosure, I had already put half of the goods in a pot to cook. Yay for delicious, authentic, non sweet broth!

kind of my last straw with this restaurant, i've been going here for years but it's gotten much worse with time. major prices increase, quality of food and quantity decrease. i've only been coming here to get the pho craving because it's close by my house. but it's gotten to the point i'd rather just drive an extra 5-10 min for good pho (good pho you). i've gotten to-go from here several times, and asked for uncooked noodles, they just don't do it. the noodles fall apart and i just ended it having to throw almost $20 for a bowl of pho away. today i got lemongrass chicken ($17) , i've shown two pictures. usually it comes with fish sauce and pickled vegetables. they have not been giving the fish sauce lately, so i've had to ask every time. but seems like they're just giving soggy rice now. also notice the color difference in chicken, ate it cause i was starving but it looked off.

    What is that.....

THIS IS THE TIME FOR RESTAURANTS TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL. I'm sorry if you love this place, but I made a company order at bamboo house and I'm an UNSATISFIED customer. I did not get the right amount of ordered food. And there was a bug in one of the soups. Will never order from your restaurant. I'm all about supporting neighborhood restaurants but this is no good. I also called to say that I'm missing my order, all the phone person did was say there was only one order. Don't fight with me.... find a solution to make the order right.... or get me my food! #mfhangry

    Not ok for $17 bucks.

The pho broth is not as tasty compared to pho from the SF Bay Area or in Socal, but not too bad overall.

When they handed me the drink I was surprised at how tiny it was given the price, maybe 12oz. I've been to a lot of boba places and this was the smallest I've ever gotten. The jasmine tea was a bit bitter, and even though I asked for 50% sweet it was too sweet. The taste of the brown sugar syrup from the boba also overwhelmed the jasmine tea flavor. Overall really disappointed.

Apparently, it is possible, thanks to Boba Bothell. We stayed at a hotel just right behind where Boba is situated. My daughter had a craving for boba, so I dropped her and the wife off while I get back to our hotel. When they got back, I asked my daughter what was the name of the place. "Boba" Abigail answered. "Yeah, what's the name?", I replied? "Boba! With two dots!!". Hmm okay, so plain. I asked her for a sip... WTH? What is this?! It so good! It was their Brown Sugar with creme brulé. The brown sugar, oh so yummy, perfectly harmonious with their creme brulé. The brulé was not heavy and overpowering and perfectly matches the drink. I had to get my own drink. Service was really fast and server was very friendly. +1 We ordered shrimp fresh spring rolls and chicken wings as appetizers. Those came out really fast - my daughter really liked the rolls and the peanut sauce. A little skimpy on the ingredients but I chalked it up to us being the only people sitting down for a meal and that they close at 830pm. The wings were the star of the meal - crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Served with sweet chili sauce. +1 My daughter had the kids pho and we were able to sub meatballs for round eye steak. The server was really accommodating and I really appreciated that. The kids pho meal also comes with a soft drink and she had lemonade. +1 Here's the problem of the experience. I ordered the black tiger shrimp stir fry with vermicelli. I know exactly what that type of shrimp looks like and tastes like as it's very specific and unique. See picture for what I got instead. Tastes and looks like your medium size frozen shrimp from Safeway or Fred Meyer. I brought this up to the server and he said he would talk to the chef. Came back and double downed and said that they were black tiger shrimp but smaller size - I raised my eyebrows so high at that and he was quick to offer a discount. Immediately gave me the receipt after to pay. I guess they didn't want to deal with being accountable using false ingredients and charging customers premium prices. Also, their "special sauce" for this dish is just the same sweet chili sauce for the wings. -2 Really disappointed as this was us branching out and trying something new in the area.

We walked in about 3:30pm on a Wednesday and ordered three meals. There were two other people waiting for pick up, but other than that the place was pretty empty. It only took about 5-10 minutes for our food to get done and then we took it to go. The chicken teriyaki was pretty tasty, but kind of had a sweet taste to it that we weren't used to. It also seemed that there was much more rice than chicken. The chicken itself didn't have very much flavor to it we noticed. We also ordered a chicken Yakisoba that was tasty. It had a lot more meat to it than vegetables and also included a large side of rice. The third dish we ordered was a Kung pao chicken. This was quite different than we expected because the chicken was breaded and soaked in a sweet sauce with hardly any vegetables or peanuts in it. It tasted OK but I don't think we would buy it again. All in all, this teriyaki place is pretty good. There are a few better ones in the area, but a lot more worse ones.

Northwest Teriyaki experience. While the menu has a broad selection of Japanese-inspired and fusion…read moredishes, the focus remains firmly on the marinated, flame-broiled classics. It's an ideal spot for a quick, filling, and satisfying meal. Featured Dishes & Flavor Profile The Classic: Chicken Teriyaki (Most Recommended) The flagship dish here is the Chicken Teriyaki, and it lives up to its reputation. The chicken is typically cut into manageable chunks, char-broiled to perfection, and coated in a thick, glossy teriyaki glaze. The glaze strikes a fantastic balance--it's sweet without being cloying and has a deep, savory umami flavor. The portions are notably generous, often providing enough for two meals, which makes the value excellent. It is traditionally served over a mountain of white rice and accompanied by a simple side salad with a bright, often ginger-based, dressing. Flavor Highlights: Sweet, smoky, and deeply savory. Best Paired With: A side of fried rice for an extra satisfying crunch. Spicy Chicken Teriyaki For those who crave a kick, the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki is a popular alternative. The heat level is usually moderate, providing a warm tingle rather than a scorch, ensuring the robust teriyaki flavor remains front and center. It's a great way to elevate the traditional dish. Noodle Favorite: Chicken Yakisoba The Chicken Yakisoba is another highly recommended item. It features pan-fried noodles tossed with marinated chicken, cabbage, carrots, and broccoli in a savory yakisoba sauce. The noodles are cooked well, offering good texture, and the vegetable-to-noodle ratio is generally excellent. This dish is hearty and flavorful, serving as a great alternative to the rice plates. Must-Try Sides & Appetizers Gyoza (Pot Stickers): These pan-fried dumplings are often celebrated for their crisp exterior and flavorful pork and vegetable filling. They are a reliable and well-executed side dish. Egg Rolls/Veggie Rolls: Crispy and served with a tangy plum sauce, they make a great starter. Service, Value, and Ambiance Service: Service is typically quick and efficient, catering well to both dine-in customers and those picking up takeout orders. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. Value: This is where they truly shines. The prices are competitive, especially considering the enormous portion sizes. It's common for customers to get two meals out of a single entree, making it a fantastic deal. Ambiance: The ambiance is usually casual, straightforward, and clean--focused on getting great food to the customer promptly. It's the perfect place for a lunch break or a relaxed weeknight dinner. Final Verdict If you're looking for authentic, satisfying, and large portions of classic Pacific Northwest teriyaki, The consistency of the Chicken Teriyaki and the great value make it a beloved local spot.

Still, teriyaki uses pretty simple ingredients and techniques, so I figured most places would be pretty similar and equally delicious. Teriyaki Time seems to do pretty decent business. While there was no one eating in when we arrived, there were a couple of takeout orders picked up during the 10 or so minute wait for our food. The staff is fast and friendly, so I can certainly see why this place is popular. Chicken Teriyaki ($13.99) - The chicken is tender, moist, and wonderfully basted by the sweet and savory teriyaki sauce. There's a bit of a char, adding to the smokiness and complexity. The thigh in particular is tender and moist. Some portions of the breast are a little more fibrous and woody perhaps? Those pieces still taste good, but the texture feels off a bit. They are very generous with the portion size - the chicken almost completely covers the perfectly cooked rice below. The rice absorbs the delicious teriyaki sauce, making it flavorful and delicious. There's a small container of extra sauce if you want to indulge further. I'm not sure if it's the same sauce they use to baste the chicken with - it seems to mainly be soy sauce with a bit of black vinegar added. The teriyaki is served with a pretty typical salad with the sweet, tangy, and creamy dressing. There's shredded carrot and pieces of iceburg lettuce. It's nice and refreshing and complements the chicken and rice well. (4/5) Again, teriyaki is a pretty simple dish and seems to be good wherever you go.
