Great place, they are really fast in getting your food out to you after your order. The place is always clean. Great pho, love their eggrolls. Staff is always friendly and quick to help. Every time I've been in here is during lunch hour on a week day, so it gets pretty busy. Best pho I have had in Washington state besides my mother's. Restaurant hygiene is kinda sketchy, so I recommend to always get it to go. You can actually taste the various herbs/spices in the broth when tasting it. Food is 10/10. Restaurant hygiene needs some work though. read more

Food was pricy, and not that great but thats okay, i understand it depends highly on personal opinion and what you order. Their idea of "customer service" however is extremely lax. For example- I ordered a thai tea, and my teeth are too sensitive to cold so I requested no ice. For a price of over $3, I got handed less than half full of a small glass. When I asked the server about why that is what I got, I received a shrug and a "hmpf" with a look of complete disregard. (My inquiry was very polite and asked nicely, without attitude, by the way.) The server proceeded to turn around right in front of me and swipe a lot of food pieces and garbage on to the floor off the table right next to me and not bothering to come back and sweep it up. Was never asked if I needed anything or had my near-empty water glass filled. The receipt was handed over without so much as a word before I got through even half of my food and the place was near empty at the time. I am a very unhappy customer, and needless to say I will not return unless the place improves their customer service greatly. read more

I went here last night with my husband, we enjoyed our Pho, and had some rolls as well. Our rolls were slightly cold on the inside still (they are frozen before they heat them up), but it was busy last night and we were starving, and so went with it and ate them still without complaint. I live five minutes away and I was having a hankering for another Pho this afternoon, so I decided to go alone just an hour ago and get some Pho. I also ordered a Thai iced tea. It's my favorite drink in the whole world. Somehow, this one just didn't taste right, after 2 sips I asked if I could return it, that I was very sorry but it just didn't seem right and I didn't like it. The girls told me they had to ask the manager, went behind the scenes, and came back saying that the Manager said "no." I'm sorry, but I wasn't willing to drink something that tasted off, something that I wouldn't enjoy (and perhaps something was wrong with it?). A little peeved, I decided to take my Pho with me, so I didn't have to eat it at the restaurant, leaving my hardly-drunk mystery drink on the table. I feel that it's terrible business practice to insist that a customer pay for a drink they don't like or fear is "off." For the $3.50+ tax they insisted on charging me, they lost at least $200 of business, my family would have gone there at least once a month, but not anymore! read more

Food is decent, but the service is terrible. The waiter practically threw down the menus on the table and took my order wrong. We didn't see him again for the rest of the night. When the food came out, delivered to us by a different waiter, I noticed that they brought out the wrong entree. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with bbq pork and egg rolls, but the dish was missing the egg rolls. I tried to tell this to the waiter, but he insisted that this was the dish I ordered. I think I would know what I ordered. And how would he know what I ordered since he wasn't the waiter who took my order in the first place? Then he asked if I wanted to order the egg rolls as a side dish - no thanks. I'm not paying extra for something that should have come originally with my meal. read more

I was refered to the Bamboo House by a friend. I would have to say the pho is one of the best up here! they change ownership but the food is still good. I used to go here often, but that's it. No more. I'm tired of their bs. Pho is actually not too bad. But unfortunately the owner here sucks. I've been charged anywhere between $1.99 or $2.99 or as high as $3.99 for their sides of rice, and their food is NEVER the same. It's either really good one day or it's just terrible the next day. My "first time" with pho happened here. I'm a newbie. So, I don't have much to compare this place against quite yet, but I have to say it was far better than I was expecting! The broth was deliciously flavorful, and I loved all of the fresh ingredients I could add to my bowl. I played it safe and asked for the same dish as my fiance, but was very happy with the skirt steak he chose. Overall, a very tasty bowl of pho! The only problem I had with the place was the service... it seemed like our order took forever when other customers were getting theirs more quickly... and there weren't even very many people in there! For being so vocal about being a family owned business - something I consider important - I feel like they could take far greater pride in their excellent food. They didn't bug us as much so that we can enjoy our conversation and they were accommodating to those of us were a little late. Love this place. It's nothing fancy but you can tell everything is made from scratch and that their broth doesn't come from a can.

I've been meaning to post an updated review of this restaurant. At my husband's urging, I decided to give Bamboo House another chance after they changed owners. I ordered the pork vermicelli bowl. It was really good! It's the dish I'll always order now when I go there. The pho has also improved and owner is very nice. She remembers us and always know the usual my husband orders (he's a regular there). Tip: if you decide to try the vermicelli bowl, order some peanut sauce on the side and mix it in with the fish sauce that comes with it - it's so yummy! read more

My husband and I are regulars here - food is flavorful and always on point! We always have to have the tofu spring rolls and my husband is always happy with his pho. I have been here many times, but I don't usually sit down for food and I will explain this later. Food quality is generally great and consistent. Their rice dishes have pretty decent portions, and the grilled pork is actually really good. However the service is usually bad/below par. This is the primary reason why I order to go instead. However after tonight, I have decided not to go here anymore. After finish our meal, we went up to the cashier to pay separately, my friend who isn't that familiar with Vietnamese cuisine forgot what he had ordered, so he asked the lady politely. i've frequented this place more than a few times, probably more than What the Pho across the street and only because they advertise themselves as a mom & pop business. Yet after my last order of chicken pho to go i think it's probably better i stay away. Not sure what happened in the kitchen other than a dirty nuke going off that probably burnt all flavor & spice in a 5 mile radius. This last order of pho was so bad, so bland & so tasteless that i couldn't even bribe my boys to eat it with offers of candy and ice-cream afterwards. to add insult to injury the next day i warmed up another Pho bowl from one of those bottom dollar Costco 6 pack boxes & they lapped every last bit of it up. I cannot say their service is great but their foods were the best. I love their spring rolls. The best roll that I've tasted. The source was delicious and the rolls were crispy. Their pho were also very good. We had seafood pho and pho with well-done brisket. I'd like to recommend the second one. It is good and has many pieces of brisket. There is no doubt that their food is excellent. I have been impressed with both pho, sandwhich and noodle dishes. But the Thai iced tea is not so great, It's made from a bottle. I believe they actually home-make the pho broth with bone because we found a bone once in our soup....instead of other places that just add the ready-made flavour to the water. The service is actually terrible EXCEPT for the older gentleman whom I believe is one of the owners..He is very kind and very helpful and makes me want to return. For whatever reason the lady that works there has terrible service and sometimes leaves me standing there for no apparent reason as I'm waiting to be helped...weird! I have eaten here more than a handful of times and being a vietnamese person I know how real vietnamese food should taste. Many places often skimp on ingredients by adding cheap fillers or ingredients that you would not normally find in traditional vietnamese cuisine which distorts the taste. Bamboo house is decent, not great but not the worst place I've eaten at. If I didn't live close to this restaurant I would not have returned. Their service, particularly from the middle aged woman was the worst I have ever had. I have lived in Miami & NYC so I've had more than my share of bad customer service. However, this woman was atrocious. I wanted to leave a tip, which I always do, not because of her customer service. So I asked to have a $20 bill changed & she gave me $10 back. I told her nicely that I only have $10 in change. I didn't make a big scene out of it, people make mistakes. She proceeded to yell at me & opened the register to show me the ten dollar bill that I had allegedly given to her. Of course I had no proof otherwise unless they had a camera & believed she would be honest. So I had left it at that. She treated me as if I was trying to steal $10 from the restaurant when I only wanted change to give her a tip for her subpar service in the first place!!! BOTTOM LINE: NEVER PAY CASH HERE!!!! If you do, ask for someone other than that middle aged woman to ring you up!!!! I will never spend another dime at this establishment!!! read more

When Bamboo House opened roughly 9 months ago if felt as a tremendous relief. When you have worked in an area for many years and know all the places inside out you are craving for anything new. Of course, it helps that I like Vietnamese food. The Pho is delicious but I am particularly fond of the curry noodles. The interior is tasteful and the service friendly and good. My only beef is that the price is rather high for a lunch place. I rarely end up paying less than $10 (prior to tipping). read more
