He reached into a container and grabbed salad , no gloves placed on his hands, no handwashing once he left the cash register and went to food area. I ordered a meal with no rice just salad. It already comes with a small salad. When I opened my box it was only chicken. No salad inside. They said they gave me a bigger box of salad. How is that equal to two scoops of rice and the salad that they already are supposed to give me. When I called I was wrong because that's a little bit bigger box of salad than what they normally give customers. Got the beef teriyaki. It tasted like something you'd get in a frozen microwavable tv dinner. The beef tasted low quality, dry, chewy, and old. The sauce was a sweet, syrupy, mess - like straight corn syrup and soy sauce. Rice also tasted like it had been sitting out all day. Lots of great teriyaki places in the area for the same price. I cannot comprehend the 1 star reviews on here. This is my favorite choice for teriyaki! There are at least 3 other places near my home, but I walk an extra block every week just to get lunch from here. I am always greeted by the same pleasant gentleman, who I believe is the owner. He knows me, and he remembers the dish I always order. If you like your food extra spicy, then just say so! This place is extra great because the food is fresh and tasty AND it is the only teriyaki place in our area that is open on Sundays!! It does get very busy in the evenings so it is best to call ahead. We have been here many times and the food has always been very good. We usually have the chicken and beef teriyaki combo, the Gyoza's, and the chicken yakisoba. We have never had problems besides sometimes having to wait an hour on a busy evening. read more

Not only is this a teriyaki place, they have outstanding, reasonably priced chinese stir fry dishes. Quick service, fresh ingredients, great flavor. And in-store dining is served on reuseable service (plates, forks, glasses), so a big 4-star on the green rating. I think they still use styrofoam for take out (will try to verify), hopefully they upgrade to biodegradeable. read more

I would not recommend going to this place, the quality of the food is not very good. I ordered chicken yakisoba and wonton soup. The meat in the soup was apart from the noodle, and the noodles with the chicken were stuck together and hard. Had the worst experience here and it was only my first time... I was dying of hunger and couldn't drive down to my original teriyaki spot, so I order from here instead. I should've asked someone about this place before I got here... The venue has ample seating and what appears to be a large menu with a variety of teriyaki and other asian foods. The interior is definitely worn down though like the entry way carpet is sort of nasty, the walls and floors scream 80s era and the bathroom sink faucet isn't even caulked down. The bathroom trashcan looks liked it's never been wiped down on the outside. Anyways I ordered the number 1 chicken teriyaki. It was fine for the most part. I'd say the chicken is a bit overdone compared to other joints around and there is definitely some type of thick clear sugary sauce they put on that's not teriyaki sauce. The salad is standard ice berg lettuce with sweet dressing and the rice is just rice. The price is definitely right at under $8 though. read more

Worst teriyaki in Washington. We ordered 2 pork teriyaki, and a side order of California rolls. The pork was boiled and grey. The sauce was not a teriyaki sauce, but a running yellow sauce with no flavor. The portions were low, even for the price. The California roll didn't have any avocado but made up for it with an abundance of cucumber. We thought about going to get our money back, since we couldn't even finish it, but decided to just call it a loss and write a review. I honestly do not know why they have such a high rating, but the teriyaki place by Fred Meyer is miles better than this place. This is hands down the worst teriyaki place I have ever been to. This is honest to goodness restaurant teriyaki, as opposed to fast food yaki--still "just" teriyaki, but made to order in a real kitchen. Thrasher's Corner is something of a complex of strip malls and parking lots on major arterials. It's not really a place to come for peace and quiet, and, by and large, not really a place to seek distinctive fine dining. So you look for the best of the food that's convenient, and Yummy, as it so often does, moves itself quickly to the top of the list of good convenient food. It's very much a strip mall setting; you walk in and you order at the counter, grabbing a drink from a cooler by the register. They bring out your plate when it's ready. I ordered, as I do in pretty much every yaki joint in the state, the chicken breast, extra spicy. They willingly refactored the order to include steamed vegetables instead of white rice. They had to think about it for a second, but they did it willingly and cheerfully. Awesome! The dining room is plasticized tables and chairs in a couple neat little rows, with the Seattle Times and a couple of magazines you've never heard of before available for your perusal. The food arrives quickly and cheerfully. What I got was a good-sized helping of white meat, still juicy, clearly not held at temp--it was definitely grilled only after I'd ordered it. The extra spicy sauce was enough to make me cough and sweat, which is going some. I loved it. The steamed vegetables were pretty fantastic by yaki joint standards--carrots, celery, onions, sprouts, and other goodness julienned with a mandolin and served warm next to the chopped chicken. It seriously resembled a real meal, as opposed to the typical slung-hash visual effect you get at too many places at these prices. And speaking of the price, it was quite reasonable. With the substitutions, extra spice, a bottle of gatorade, and tax, it was $12. The Redmond store serves you enough food for an army at those prices, and IIRC so does the Edmonds one. But the Thrasher's Corner Yummy is holding its own. read more

This is the place to get some tasty terIyaki! Don't waste your time at a lot of the other places around Bothell. My boyfriend and I wanted some good food, and i had had tried this place before, but apparently I forgot just how good it is! They have the best spicy chicken! It is just spicy enough and the chicken is perfectly cooked. I do not eat rice, so they substituted the rice for stir-fry veggie (small extra charge, but worth it). The lady who works at the counter is very nice and happy to help you. This place is clean and has plenty of seating. My boyfriend was a bit giddy that they had so much to choose from (teriyaki, sushi, bubble tea, kimchi...). He tried the California Roll and really enjoyed it. Next time (knowing him) I am sure he will order the bubble tea. The fried rice is super super good. I had a bite of his to check it out, and it was god sent. My favorite teriyaki place ever. I haven't found anyone who can beat them. Fresh, hot, amazing food. I love their bento box, which you can get with salmon, tofu, beef, shrimp or chicken. The tempura is perfectly cooked with fresh vegetables and shrimp. The CA rolls are just outstanding. Comes with a bowl of yummy soup. Besides the very, very good teriyaki, they also have Chinese stir fry dishes. The menu is long and everything I have ever ordered in the years I've gone there has been great. I've never had a bad dining experience. They recognize me and ask me about my family, the last people who accompanied me in, and have a genuine interest in their customers. They bring my order to me when I order in. They get really busy with the takeout orders, but they keep up the pace and don't forget the people who are dining in. You receive a complimentary beverage when you order in with free refills! I've never heard of that anywhere else in my lifetime. They have real dishes and cups. The chopsticks are the one-time use, but I love how this fast food place is green. My only con for the place is the gigantic flatscreen TV that plays all the time, but I see that it is a great pro for many of the men who come in and eat their meal. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to get food, but their quality & consistency of food has gone downhill in the last two years considerably. Their orange chicken has been really old lately, or a very bad quality, mostly dark meat, hard, stale & old tasting. Lots of fat or gristle. Not appealing at all. I want tender chicken inside that crunch! Sometimes it's not even crisp on the outside, & just totally soggy inside & out! Their fried/white rice is either overdone, or not done enough. I've gotten rice sometimes & had it so overdone it was just mush. Or where half the rice is hard/crunchy. The Katsu is also very inconsistent as well, old chicken, & very fatty/gristly. The Mongolian Beef is actually mushy. Like, it practically melts in your mouth & you don't really seem to have to chew it... But NOT in a good way. It's also not even close to spicy. (I can't handle a lot of spice) I will keep coming back here & there, as it's close to my house & sometimes the food is so on pointe! But it's not my first choice anymore. Decided to try this place because it always seemed busy...We were not disappointed. Half the menus is a tasty selection of Teriyaki and the other half of the menu is a nice selection of Chinese food like sweet and sour chicken. The only thing I wish they did better was I like spicy chicken, but they can't replicate the spicy chicken marinade quite the same if you ask for chicken breast vs. dark in your spicy chicken. The kungpao was mushy and bland the teriyaki looked like boiled meat then grilled on one side for show. The fried rice was just steamed rice with added meats and veggies and had no flavor at all. The #1, chicken teryiaki, had great flavor and the employees were pleasant enough to me. There was one customer who had already been seated waiting for her food by the time i sat down. Her soup came and was a little disappointed that it seemed smaller than she expected. She then tried to ask for more tofu but the guy at the counter seemed to brush her off and dismissed her request. I think he could have handled it differently to win her as a repeat customer. She decided to take her soup to go instead. At least she didn't leave the full bowl behind. I had no issues with my food. I liked it and I'll be back. I just hope the staff can think about what is being asked of their customers and at least try to make them happy if something isn't exactly right for them. This place is not yummy! I ordered the teriyaki salmon with fried rice to go. Got home the salmon was so gross, dry and chewy I couldn't even eat it. The fried rice had no flavor & it was so dry. The little salad that comes with it was brown & the dressing was watery. I called the manager to let him know, first of all he was rude said he was going to reimburse me & he hung up on me. It's been two weeks & he has yet to give my my money back. He never apologized either! This was not my first time here either. I have never liked their food personally. My husband and I were really craving teriyaki so we decided to give this place a shot. I'm not sure it's a good thing that they have both Chinese and Japanese together. We ordered orange chicken, spicy teriyaki chicken, and egg rolls. The orange chicken was okay at the least. The spicy chicken was better and the egg rolls were not very tasty. They just gave us prepackaged sweet and sour for the egg rolls which is kinda sad. What happened to making your own sauces? I've been eating here off and on for over two years. I live down the street. The staff has always been kind and helpful to us before and after they figured out we were local customers. I've had this place stay open a few extra minutes just to give us the food we ordered 20 minutes ago several times. I really see the owners go the extra mile to please the customers. Another great feature is they have mexican style coke. Meaning bottled coke with real sugar, none of that fructose coke with the after taste.. ick. Peronally I love the Gyoza they serve here. The taste and flavor seems to be about right. They also serve chinese style dishes, which are great as well. I haven't had a meal here that wasn't tasty! Usually I have one of the Teriyaki style dishes and they are great! Even the seafood dishes I've had were good. I also am a fan of their spicy dishes. It seems like the chef here really knows that hes doing! Overall great place and I recommend giving them a try! read more
