    Kurobuta katsu curry rice
    Tania Z.

Greeted and sat promptly. Interior is low lit and cozy. Started with fries which were standard. Son got the pork tenderloin katsu meal which came with miso, rice, and cabbage. I liked that they included a mini Japanese mortar and pestle to freshly grind sesame seeds then mix with the katsu sauce (delicious). Hubby tried the salmon katsu curry udon which was huge but difficult to eat, perhaps scissors would help to cut it table side. I got the kurobuta katsu curry rice which was also large, at least cut up into manageable strips. Our dishes all seemed very high quality and were very tasty.

Excellent restaurant that specializes in various katsu dishes. You can choose the type of katsu dish like curry, oroshi ponzu sauce, regular katsu, etc and also the meat type like chicken, or a type of pork katsu, etc. All the dishes were delicious. Staff were very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a great place to get Katsu for a good price around Lynnwood, Washington! Service was great, large and clean space, they have a huge menu with a lot of different items! The food came out relatively fast. The food was very juicy and flavorful. Parking was a little hard to find. Overall, I highly recommend and I would come back.

overall was happy to finally try this spot and would def go back, it's a cute spot that's clean and bright. The service was pretty nice. All of the food was pretty good. We thought that the curry chicken udon was the best but the others were good too. I would note that the service was definitely a bit slow, and it took a bit to get all of our items. You might be able to tell in the photos, but my group and I share all our items and we were served the curry item first and we completely finished the curry dish before the other two were served. The server even joked that we ate it all already. Overall I didn't mind too much on that bc we were sharing so we all had something to eat either way, but if we weren't sharing I'd probs be a little annoyed.

Great tasting katsu, friendly service and overall a nice experience! We came on a weekend and it was a full house for lunch. Plenty of street parking. Service was welcoming and they were accommodating to our little one with a high chair. We got their gyoza and a side of udon for our one year old and we always bring our own food scissors to cut food up for him. My husband and I had the Nagoya miso style katsu. Very tasty and perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed our meal and would come back again to try their other items!

I have been eyeing this spot for a while and finally had a chance to give it a go. Browsing the menu there was so many options to pick from including what cut of pork we wanted. I quickly settled for the Kurobuta tonkatsu and it was so good. The katsu was hot and crispy, meat was moist and it was not greasy at all. This is a definite must come back to type of spot!

Had such a good experience here! Parking was so easy to find and there was no wait when we came at 7 PM. The food came out pretty quick as well I got the nabe and it was so comforting since it was raining that day. Also got the mozzarella katsu as a side to share and ITS SO GOOD

I came here on a weekday with some friends and had the kurobuta toji w/ chicken katsu on the side. The portion was huge but comparable to Ookami. I would say that it was pretty good, but I definitely think that the meat could be a bit juicier. The sauces for the vegetables were decent as well. The service was great as we were seated quickly and were provided a lot of attention. The ambiance of the place was very clean and pristine. I would definitely come back again, especially with its adjacent ample parking across the street and with a refreshment store next door.

I love katsu and was excited to try Tokuni since it just opened. We stopped by around 2pm for a late lunch -- no line, which was nice. The ambiance was clean and modern, and service was friendly and attentive. Parking was a bit tricky though -- no dedicated lot, just street parking. Ordered the rosu katsu set (fattier cut) and the hire katsu (leaner cut). Rosu Katsu - 3/5 Portion was good, but it wasn't as crispy as I expected. The meat itself was a bit under-seasoned, and the bottom was soft (almost soggy) even though it was on a wire rack which was disappointing. Hire Katsu - 3/5 Meat texture was softer and slightly moist. There was a faint metallic/iron-like aftertaste -- not super strong, but noticeable. Overall, portions were solid. The main thing holding it back was the lack of crispiness. If the batter had more crunch, it would've made a big difference!

Top notch tonkatsu in Lynnwood! I had their kurobuta katsu with Nagoya miso sauce for lunch. What I love is the panko has large pieces that add a huge crunch to every bite, yet the batter isn't so thick that it overwhelms the pork. Speaking of the pork, this was a very generous portion of thick tenderloin, I had to take half home as leftovers. Staff was very friendly and helpful when ordering, the food takes a little while to come out because they make each order fresh and hot. Love the modern styling with traditional elements too. Street parking is hit or miss, I hear there's retail parking in the building somewhere but have yet it. Perhaps the website should give us directions to the entrance of the lot.

Fellow Yelp Elite/IGer Carol C and I met up for brunch at Tokuni right at their 11am opening (2/7/26). Street parking around the vicinity was a bit scarce on this rainy Saturday. Reading other Yelp posts, looks like there is complimentary garage parking while dining onsite. The restaurant interior was sleek with table/booth seating around the perimeter. Our wait person was very helpful and well versed with the menu providing helpful recommendations. The menu provided a variety of preparations: lunch bento, apps, sandos, bowls, noodles, katsu with rice, shredded cabbage, and various sauces like ponzu, curry, as examples. There's also beverages and a few ice cream based desserts. Other staff members worked in tandem taking away dishes and refilling our water glasses throughout our meal. I appreciated their unobtrusiveness during our 90 minute brunch. We both started with the chawanmushi appetizer. This version had sliced fish cake and chicken tendon with a pleasant custard consistency, served hot. Carol selected an impressive entree, one of the katsu nabe. Nicely prepped cutlet with a bubbling hot soup base placed above a heat source. This came with shredded cabbage and black sesame topped steamed rice. I went with a favorite, but with a twist. I picked a menchi katsu don bowl. This was a generous serving of minced pork and beef prepped cutlet, tender egg, and roasted onion atop steamed rice with a balanced sweet and savory sauce. I really enjoyed this and it was very filling. Katsu is having a moment, whether as a sando, burger, bowl, or entree. It is better than Hurry Curry of Tokyo (Seattle/SLU), but I feel Kobuta and Ookami (Seattle/Capitol Hill & Redmond) slightly edges them out. I look forward to returning and trying other menu items. Tokuni is a great northend dining option.

Was craving katsu and decided to give this place a try! It's located near apartment complex's and there's parking in the garage for retail which is really nice if you can't find street parking. I ordered the regular cutlet and it came with miso soup and rice. Best part has to be the cabbage and sesame dressing at katsu restaurants and this place is no different. Food was great but service could have been better. Being one of 2/3 tables dining in, we didn't get checked up on at all. Not very attentive with things like water refills or noticing we finished all the food and want the bill. Interior is nice and small, clean and trendy. Would come again for the food and hopefully there will be more service.

"If you love Katsu, you may try this restaurant." I tried Katsu Toji Kurobuta and Premium Hot Green Tea. It tastes great. The portion is pretty big for me. I enjoyed half way eating it, then it started feel too sweet after awhile. So I stopped and had it for to go. The premium hot green tea was great! I love the taste and perfect temperature. All the staff were friendly from start to finish. I came 30 mnts before close and I can say they all seemed working happily! So I, as a customer, can feel good energy. Love it. The restaurant was clean and neat. I would recommend Tokuni!

We came in the evening after day 2 of Geekfest and it was pretty busy inside. Luckily there was a spot open for two so we were seated and given menus. The inside is a bit dim, there were lots of tables with chairs or booth seats throughout, and there was even bar seating as well. My boyfriend ordered tonkotsu ramen and crunchy salmon roll as well as takoyaki to share while I got their red volcano tonkotsu and a Thai iced tea. I noticed there was a Japanese customer who spoke with one of the waitresses and she spoke Japanese back and it was cool to see and hear that! I wonder if the owners are Japanese as well as it's rare to find actual Japanese owned restaurants. The service here was friendly, courteous and they did check in every so often. The choice of music playing was quiet cafe music which was interesting but it was so hard to hear. My Thai iced tea came first then the takoyaki. Afterwards, our ramen bowls came not too long after that and the sushi roll came in last. I am so happy to say that the takoyaki was the perfect ratio of batter, octopus, and sauces on top. The ramen broth was hearty and smooth. I loved how spicy my red volcano tonkotsu was especially because I love things extremely spicy and it was definitely a fantastic ramen for spicy lovers. My boyfriend said he was very happy with his roll and ramen. He usually doesn't order ramen too often especially on a hot day but he said he was happy he did as it was one of the better ones he's had. My Thai iced tea was the right amount of sweetness and the perfect thing to sip on while handling my spicy ramen. I definitely want to come back to try their other selections.
