Baja Dori

Very nice burger for a lazy night! The burger is good size and katsu is juicy. The sauce compliments the katsu very well. Our favorite burger place.

Back again and they have new menu items! Had to get my usual but hope to try the new item next time. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Was busy when I ordered for pick up but still some seating available. Comfortable to eat there.

We needed a place to eat near Lynnwood and tried Katsu burger on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised by this place! They offer Katsu meat patties and Japanese inspired burger options. I tried the Baja Dori burger, which was quite tasty. The katsu beef patty was crispy on the outside and flavorful. The burger height was huge, but if you keep the burger in the wrapping, it is easy to keep everything together. Overall, it tasted like a regular burger with a twist. I definitely enjoyed it over just a typical burger, but my girlfriend's curry burger was a hit. The curry burger has overarching theme/flavor profile that I appreciated more. The seasoned fries were fresh and crispy. The 12 spices is a Cajun like seasoning. The wasabi coleslaw was fine - kind of a super mid coleslaw with some wasabi flavoring and edamame. The worker was very friendly and offered his recommendations when we asked. The restaurant is very casual and great for hangouts, but there were some dates while we were there.

I tried chicken Katsu burger and the taste was just so good. I also had wasabi based salad and it had a very nice kick to it. The place is rather small but it is decent. I will go here again for just the taste.

Round 2: Baja Dori burger - coming the second time and happy with choice of this burger. The beef patty is succulent and tasty. The seasoning and spicy mayo go great with it. This pairs nicely with the curry sauce. Definitely give it a try.

I love the unique burgers here. I saw recently they were rating pretty high in a poll so I decided to stop by again. The burgers are very big and hard to wrap your mouth around them. Yes, it was messy like last time but this time I kept my wrapper around the burger so it contained the messiness. They could still use a sturdier burger bun that holds in the moist toppings better. I ordered the Ichi-Ban burger and chose Fries with it. I loved the fresh & hot fries. They are nicely seasoned with your choice of spices. I had the 12 spice flavoring which had a bit of heat but not bad. They do give you a lot of fries with the order and a choice of dipping sauce. I chose Miso Honey Mustard this time. Overall, the food is very delicious and you get a lot for the money. Worth a stop every so often.

I stopped by for a quick lunch between appointments. I had heard this place was good, and while I'm generally not a fan of fusion cuisines (I think they're a gimmick to charge more for poorly-executed dishes), I decided to give this place a chance. I was blown away at how good the burgers were, and while I was too full to try one of their shakes, I'll be back to try one. Tokyo Classic - This is their base burger, with a beef patty that's been breaded and fried, and covered with tonkatsu sauce and Japanese mayo. There are also thinly shaved mandolined, red onions, hearty slices of pickles, and a heap of shredded cabbage to round out the rest of the burger. It definitely breaks the 3 finger rule for burgers, but the cabbage is compressible so I guess I'll allow it, The burger patty isn't very beefy in flavor, but tastes more of the breading and the tonkatsu sauce. Surprisingly, it isn't very heavy, but it is substantial. Baja Dori - This comes with bacon, guac, and spicy mayo in addition to the rest of the components of their base burger. There's also mention of 12 spices on the menu, but I couldn't identify it due to everything happening in this burger. The guac and the sauces make this very messy to eat in comparison to the classic burger. The burgers do come wrapped in paper, so it serves as a little catch for the saucier components of this burger. The bacon does get a little bit overwhelmed with the other flavorful ingredients, but overall this is a solid burger.

I am glad I tried this Katsu Burger in Lynwood on my way back to Vancouver from Seattle. I have been wanting to try it since last year! My husband and I ordered a Tokyo tower and Katsu curry burger with combo. They were excellent. We loved them. The Tokyo tower has two Katsu patties. We ordered fries with nori and 12 spices. Yummy!!! Too bad I couldn't be greedy to try more lol each burger was very big that we couldn't finish it and we had to pack them home. There is a big parking lot outside the restaurant. Don't need to worry about parking at all. There are also pops and Calpico (Japanese beverages) for drinks. Many beverage options. Customers must be able to find what they like to eat and drink here for sure!

Ninja Deluxe Burger, Fries
Yasmine H.

I tried Katsu Burger for the first time after hearing great things about the food... And the food was a fantastic combination of fast food and katsu! The portions are large; we split the Ninja Deluxe with sea salt fries between two people and it was perfect for lunch. The painted walls were interesting but the furniture (i.e. old, unstable tables) made the place feel more like a fast food joint than a restaurant. Another plus is that they serve Stubborn soda and beer!

I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese at least I think so... or at least that's the song that played in my head (sometimes it helps... to drown out the voices... ... ...) as we dined at "Home of the original, Japanese Katsu style Burgers!" (to borrow the phrasing from their own Instagram page)! This is really an amazing burger place, with locations in Georgetown, Lynnwood, Bellevue, Capitol Hill, Kent, Lake Stevens, and Federal way. We dined at the Lynnwood location, in the same center as a Regal movie theater and only a five minute drive from Alderwood Mall. We found their offerings to be very unique and incredibly tasty. The restaurant ambiance and speed in which the food is ready is akin to that of a fast food establishment. You can expect to pay higher than fast food prices but for that price you get very generous portion sizes and creative food not readily found elsewhere. Not many fast food type places can you find seaweed on the menu or fries seasoned with seaweed flakes, the list goes on and on! For today, we ordered the "Tokyo classic", my girlfriend ordering hers with the Beyond Meatless burger and myself, with the Tindle plant based "chicken" burger. Both were really large and the buns superbly overstuffed with cabbage, tomato, red onions, etc. We also ordered seaweed, tofu bonzai bites (think "chicken nugget breaded exterior with soft, melt in your mouth tofu interior", absolutely amazing) and I'm including a picture of their seaweed flavored fries that we had ordered in a past visit. The fries were cooked perfectly, very crispy, and taken to that next level with the inclusion of the seaweed flakes, adding a bit of umami in every bite! We washed everything down with Sapporo beer. If you're looking for great tasting, affordable, creative, amazing vegan options - you can't go wrong at Katsu Burger. Tell them that I sent you! True, they have no idea who I am and will undoubtedly respond with a resounding "who?!" but you'll all be able to enjoy a good laugh at my expense over a great meal! Enjoy!

Katsu Curry Burger

Delicious burgers! One of the unique kinds of burgers offered in the area. If you love katsu and burgers, this is the place for you. There's a variety of options to choose from. My personal favorites are the original katsu and the curry katsu flavor. Don't forget to try the nori fries... it's simple but pairs so well with a burger! The price is decent, which is comparable with the cost of a Red Robin burger. The burger is filling and full of umami flavor. The katsu has a nice crunch to it. The employees are quick to bring out your food. I would say this is a mix between a fast food restaurant and dine-in. Come here if you're really hungry!

So glad we decided to give this a shot. Scrolled past the option many times when trying to decide what to get. Do you enjoy Katsu? Do you enjoy burgers? Then this is right for you! So far, the chicken and beef have been delicious and I love the korokke. I don't think it's a meal I could enjoy often, but I will savor it whenever I do.

We ordered an abundant spread, and every dish impressed. The clear crowd favorite was the Singapore black pepper prawns - fragrant, perfectly spiced, and completely addictive. That black pepper sauce was hands down the star of the meal: rich, peppery, and deeply flavorful. It was my favorite and could easily be eaten on everything. The Mala curry crab and XO crab were both outstanding; layered with complex, indulgent flavors. The Thai green chili clams and saus mentega clams were vibrant and comforting, while the crab fried rice had generous morsels of crab folded throughout the dish. We also really enjoyed the Indonesian chicken wings, which were crispy and flavorful, and the stir-fried vegetables, which added a fresh, well-balanced contrast to the seafood-heavy menu. Everything traveled well, was thoughtfully prepared, and made for an unforgettable catered meal. If you're considering catering from Marimakan Crabhouse, I can't recommend it highly enough. Get the black pepper sauce! Amazing from start to finish, and Chef V or Rachel is lovely to work with.

Took me awhile to decide on what to order lol. Settled with steak bites, steamed clams, crab and artichoke dip, fried cod and salad with salmon. We loved the steak bites! The extra veggies of onion, peppers and mushrooms were delicious. Steak was tender and flavorful. Clams were meaty and tasted good with crispy cheesy bread to dip in that sauce. Crab dip was also good. My fried cod and fries was really good. Crispy outside and juicy cod inside. Slaw and tartar sauce were all on point. My friends salmon salad was really delicious too. Overall was a great meal. And we also had a slice of lemon cheese cake and salted caramel cake and that was all amazing. So happy to know the restaurant is still in business and good still tasted great. Will return soon

We left and never felt compelled to return. A couple days ago, on a lark and searching for some new-to-us takeout to meet our visiting family's lunch needs, we found ourselves again at the Hook. And what we ordered was so good. So. Good. I ordered the salmon burger, a juicy piece of salmon embraced in a toasted bun with simple lettuce, tomato, and mayo along for the ride. Some weeks ago, I'd had a similar sandwich at a reputed spot in Pike Place market. The Hook's was much better, and I have been thinking about ordering it again for two days now. Their fries were also some of the best I've had in town, and I'm not usually excited about fries. My family all had panko-crusted halibut (fish and chips style), and this, too was shockingly good. It was even tasty and crisp as leftovers reheated in the air fryer! (I know, I know, but who is throwing away fish in this economy?) I am but a humble Yelper and have learned my lesson. If, at first, your fish is dry, (maybe) try again!

We were there a bit later, just before 8 p.m. on a Monday, and easily got a table right away. I didn't want too much food - at my age I've learned my eyes and stomach are rarely on the same page - but I definitely wanted some brisket...as an amateur smoker I appreciate how much work goes into beef brisket so always try it when I see it on a menu. So I went with the Happy Hour Caesar Salad & Brisket. For $8.50 it was a great value. The fat of the brisket was rendered PERFECTLY. My wife wanted the baked potato but allegedly someone came earlier and bought TWELVE and cleaned them out. Disappointing! But the two street tacos she got off the Happy Hour menu were tasty. My teenager decided to lean in and get the brisket entree. Fries and Mac & cheese as the sides with cornbread. He added some of his brisket to the Mac & cheese and loved it. Fries were crispy (double fried? Or battered?) but didn't get finished - too much food! I had a couple of beers that were good. The tap listing was available on a screen. Service was well-above average. Very friendly. I can imagine this place getting busy during peak hours but it's small enough that they likely can keep up. I doubt we'll be back. We are from out of town and while we come to the Seattle area often I like to try new places whenever possible. But we were very happy with how tonight went. 4.5/5.0 but it won't let me do a halfstar. Give it a try. This isn't a chain restaurant! We were happy to support this one.

Parking lot was packed- but there was one high-top table when we walked in. We grabbed it. Loud bar/pub atmosphere- I'm sure sporting events are fun here. Big bar on one side and 'family' seating on the other with warnings for the under 21's to not cross the border. I got the half rack of ribs and my partner got the pulled chicken sandwich. Also beers. The food arrived fast: nice thing about bbq is that it has to be already prepared so they just have to plate it. The half rack was huge. 6 big ribs, Cesar salad and fries were my sides. So much food. Glad I got the salad. I didn't try the pulled chicken but she got the Mac and cheese as a side and that was really good. Haven't had decent restaurant Mac and cheese in a while. I'd like to know what they make in-house here. The fries felt bought-in...the salad was...good but...uniform? Like maybe out of a bag? I'm prepared to be wrong about that. The barbecue was good. The ' spicy' sauce was sweet and not vey spicy and the 'sweet' sauce was kind of boring: bbq sauces need work. Add a mustard based sauce? All in all we loved it and will definitely go back. $75 all in with tip for two people.
