We loved this sushi restaurant, been visiting almost every week or every other week. They serve really delicious, fresh seafood sushi and seasonable specials. We went last week. We ordered Tuna Flight, Uni Shooter, spicy scallop and spicy salmon rolls, Tuna chu toro, Tuna o toro, Tako sashimi, Jalapeño Hamashi sashimi. They were absolutely to die for. Reasonable price, very satisfying food. Servers are attentive and friendly. Thank you Nancy for your services!
Delicious sushi spot with modern twists. My friend and I got the Jason, Ryan and Kay roll all served on one platter. my friend got a Yuzu mimosa. We shared the sushi nachos which we a little soggy and something we would pass on next time. The sushi rolls were fresh and tasted great. The Kay roll was the most intriguing since it was all vegetarian with sweet potato being the star of the show. Very delicious and fun for the veggie ppl out there. Good spot, large dining room so you don't feel cramped, service was great. A few parties that came after us were familiar with the servers and it was nice to see the restaurant had returning customers or had some sort of community.
Lovely place with lovely people. In a plaza with parking available. I felt like the prices are a bit too high. Kai roll is not for me, with mango salsa but Ryan roll is exactly what I love! Delicious and would come back here for happy hour. Seared salmon nigiri was $10 for 2 pretty small pieces. Taste was great! Fun fact, their rolls are named after their chefs that created them :)

Came here to try one of their newest rolls. The Kai roll is a sushi roll that is unique, something I never had before. It is a fried sushi roll with 4 different types of fish topped with mango salsa. It was interesting! Staff told me that they have different kinds of sushi named after the chefs and they come up with their own signature ingredients which I thought was super cool. I was glad to try Kai's signature roll. I also ordered the Chirashi bowl. It was the freshest chirashi bowl I've ever tasted and every piece has different types of fish. The bowl was around $40 but it's worth a splurge once a while if you want something fresh. Their sushi rice is cooked to perfection and they also have complimentary miso soup. Staff was super friendly, place was spacious.

I ordered a mix of items, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The crispy rolls we had were perfectly balanced, with a light crunch on the outside and very fresh, flavorful fish on top. The textures were just right, not greasy, not heavy, just clean and satisfying. The crab tempura roll was also excellent, with a nice crispiness and generous portions. One of my favorite parts was how vibrant everything looked. The colors, the plating, the little details like the garnish and sauce all showed care and attention. We ordered the spicy scallop roll, salmon kama and grilled chicken plate, which we enjoyed a lot! Hubby approvingly commented that the spicy scallop roll was indeed spicy. The salmon kama was grilled to perfection - salmon was tender and had a nice char to it. The grilled chicken plate was tasty! Nicely grilled and mild not to sweet teriyaki sauce. The service was outstanding, as was the food we ordered. Friendly staff including our server, Ryan and the owner, Sumin. I recommend Kazoku for dinner and happy hour. It is a little on the spendy side and there is a drink minimum to order HH.
The service was really good. Ti ordered the chicken karage, geso karage, tonkasu don, California roll, miso soup. So far we kinda like the tofu don (though it was brought to us wrongly). The geso karage was also pretty good. We also had the kai roll and it was very refreshing to have a mango salsa on it. The restaurant has ample parking lot which is good. Love the staff too and very attentive.
Four of us went here for dinner the other night and really loved it. The staff was great (Waitress Wendy and the Owner), food was awesome and inside was decorated nicely. We felt very welcome and had great interaction with the staff who all seemed really happy to be there. It definitely shows. We shared a combination of our favorite rolls such as the Spider Roll, Crunchy California Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Salmon sushi and a large decanter of the recommended Kamoshibito Kuheiji Sake. However, the main reason we came here was to experience the Yelp Community Event and the complimentary Kai roll. This roll is a tempura roll with 4 types of fresh fish and topped with a homemade mango salsa. The roll was invented by one of the chefs named Kai. All the food we had was delicious and fun to eat. I will return here one day. I recommend it to all.
I came here for lunch on a Wednesday. I was greeted warmly once entering the restaurant, and I was seated promptly. The menu has lots of items including appetizers, rolls, hot plate, lunch menu, seasonal/special menu, and drinks, etc. I had the Kai roll (named after the chef), firefly squid roll on the seasonal menu (Hotaru-Iku, freshly shipped from Japan, I learned that it emits blue light and only available 2 months/yr), and Hweh Dup Bap (a poke style salad with Gochujang with rice and miso soup). All the food was fresh and satisfying. The Hweh Dup Bap has a big portion, and I had leftovers to take home. I enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar and watch sushi being made. All of the staffs are very nice. The place is clean with good amount of seating. The food is on the pricier side, but given how fresh it is and the availability of rare fresh ingredients, I'd say it's still worth it.
Amazing food! I loved trying out Kazoku sushi. Our waitress, Wendy, was amazing. She gave us suggestions for saki and explained that the specialty rolls were named after the chefs, which was super cool! We even had a chance to meet the owner, who was awesome and passionate about what she does! We ordered a few different rolls to share between the four of us, including the spicy tuna roll, the crunchy California roll, the spider roll, and the shrimp tempura roll! All the rolls were delicious and came with 5-8 pieces each. We also got the Kamoshibito Kuheiji - Junmai Daiginjo sake, medium size, to split between two people. It was delicious, with a nice fruity flavor, and was served in wine glasses for a better taste. I also loved the sake holder with the ice cubes in it, absolutely adorable! The entire restaurant was beautiful and clean. I would love to go there again one day, especially to try the crispy rice and tuna tartare during happy hour!
Wow! Fresh fish and lovely ambiance. I liked that the music changed at 8 pm for happy hour too, fun touch! Loved the decor and atmosphere. Everything was clean and staff was super nice. Chicken katsu was good and loved how the rack was there to ensure the katsu stayed crispy. Sushi was lovely and we'll definitely be back. Took 1 star off because Seattle roll had way too much rice compared to the spicy tuna roll. Also, I found the smell of the udon to be too umami (wild mushrooms?) but it DID taste good! Will order everything again. Worth visiting.
It's our second time here. We wanted to try other items on the menu that we didn't get yo taste the first time. We enjoyed it the last time. This time was again, super good. So consistency is a great attribute for a restaurant. We had the Chirashi, the Cherried Bento Sushi Set, Hamachi Kama again and a SpiderRoll. All the fish they use are prime cuts and really tasted fresh. The food is artfully presented. The meal was superb! The server was nice, attentive and always asked us how the food was. The ambience is nice and relaxing, with jazz music piped in. This is now one of our favorite Japanese restaurants. read more

We came without a reservation before 5:00 PM and were seated right away. By 5:30, the restaurant was nearly full, so maybe we just got lucky! Next time, I'd definitely make a reservation. I'm a bit of a sushi snob, and the fish here is top quality. Everything is made fresh to order, and you can really taste the difference. They also have bar seating where you can watch the chefs prepare your sushi, which adds to the experience. There's a separate area in the back that's perfect for larger groups as well. Yum! I've been meaning to try this restaurant for the longest time and finally got to try it out! I came for lunch and found out they have lunch specials, yay! There's no 2-4pm happy hour on weekdays, only weekends. I ordered a dish called Hweh dup bap which I'd never tried before, and I loved it! It was a lot bigger than I was anticipating so I had leftovers haha. It's essentially a salad with cubed sashimi, topped with a house made gochujang sauce. The sashimi was buried under other fresh ingredients and I didn't get a picture, but there was a good amount of sashimi chopped up and when you mix it all together and top it with the sauce it was perfection! There was salmon and tuna in the mix so I was a happy camper :) Super authentic inside, looks like a restaurant you'd find in Japan! Friendly service, the owner Sumin came around check in and introduce herself! I'll be back! read more
Came here for Yelp Event to try the Kai roll. Owner stopped by to chat with us and she was super nice and friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious! Will definitely come back again to try more. The restaurant is clean and tables are spaced out nicely - low level noise. There is a parking lot so we got parking fairly easy. read more
We went on a Monday night while visiting my parents in Seattle and were looking for a quiet place with good quality sushi. We're glad we found this spot. The staff were all very kind, and the fish was fresh and high quality. The daily special Sanshokudon was out of uni, but the staff kindly accommodated us by replacing it with extra tuna instead, which we really loved and appreciated. When we arrived, only a couple of tables were occupied, but by the time we were halfway through our meal, almost every table was filled. It felt like a popular neighborhood spot. Overall, it was a family friendly sushi restaurant with great ingredients and a comfortable atmosphere. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area. read more
I want to give more stars but the food was disappointing at these price points. -Salmon Ikura don - something was off about either the rice or the marinated ikura or just the thin five slices of salmon that was $29 -Sushi Cherished Set - each nigiri was bland but the prawn nigiri which was extremely salty, even California roll was bland -seafood udon - underwhelming seafood additions for $29 -pork katsu don - good, one of the lower priced items so it was worth the value -spider roll - fried well and warm when served but bland The decorations are nice and has a separate area for reservation of bigger groups read more
I made lunch reservations 3/26/26 and was greeted with kindness & a smile. It was just me so I sat at the bar where I could watch the chefs make their wonderful creations. The ambience was welcoming, well lit & very clean. The staff was very attentive & kind. I got to chat with Yumin who is the owner & she was very kind, very personable & the customer service was top notch. I started with the Kai Roll which was very good & a unique twist with a mango salsa that was delicious & gave it kinda of a tropical flavor & vibe. My second roll was the Mimi Roll that had spicy crab & jalapeño on it & it was incredible. It all was very fresh & made to order & I will definitely be going back when I am in the area. The fish for sushi was fresh but fish pieces are pretty and rice is also pretty small for the price. Good sushi spot in Edmonds area. I went here as part of redeeming Resy credits as this restaurant is part of the Resy network. I made reservations just in case but very last minute, so they seated us at the sushi bar (which is what I would've preferred anyways). We got the following dishes - Seasonal firefly squid which is a bit pricy ($12) but very fresh and you can only get it March-May - Kazoku roll (6 pcs for $23) which came with a really delicious slightly spicy house sauce that is not overly salty so you can be liberal in dipping it. There is an assortment of sashimi inside, with shiso leaves. Good to try once but I prefer having one focused sashimi in the roll. - Crispy shiso leaves - seasonal menu. Can't taste the shiso leaf flavor here at all, but the top (tuna and ikura) is fresh. - Hamachi collar - don't order. Way overcooked and the skin is burnt - Nacho sushi - quite interesting but not really a fan - the cheese is overpowering in flavor compared to the rest of the dish. It is fairly filling so this is one of the better value dishes. - Sake flight - three 1.5oz pours which is decent pairing with the dishes Service is good as water refills are consistent and they check up on us regularly. It was strange that the appetizers came out last and we had to wait quite a bit for that, so the cadence is quite off, not really acceptable for a restaurant at this price point. read more
Randomly came to this very nice and clean Japanese restaurant for dinner. The staff were super friendly and delivered on all expectations. To the food.... Food was great. Hot dishes were hot and cold were as expected. Their uni was from Hokkaido and tasted super fresh. Tempura was just okay but I'm on the search for the perfect tempura so I have high expectations on what I'm looking for. It was crispy as expected but a bit thick on the tempura coating. All the sashimi was fresh and tasty. All in all I recommend the place. The staff and overall food makeup for the minor imperfections. Definitely worth trying. read more

In short Low-key elegant in every way, with exceptionally good fish and right on point throughout the other details of the meal. In long I've had dozens of meals in this parking lot thanks to the OG pho spot nearby. I don't even know how long Kazoku has been here but I'll be back often after trying it last night. I got skunked by traffic earlier in the evening, trying to join friends for a jazz show in Seattle and getting unbelievably delayed. Sushi cheered me right up. You feel like you're nowhere special until you step inside--you can tell it'll be nice, but you immediately feel like you've shaken off the cares of the day. There's a little lobby hallway with pleasant, tasteful decor, and around the corner is a clean and welcoming dining room with great subdued lighting. They screen off the windows to allow light without making you look at the parking lot. There were tables and counter spots available when I showed up, and I'll always take a counter spot when I can get one. They had great straight-ahead bebop, my favorite style of jazz, playing in the background. They couldn't have known that this was just what I needed to cheer me up, but there it was. Service here is so sophisticated--they call out a welcome when you walk in, seemingly without raising their voices at all. Everything feels like a relaxed, friendly chat between friends, but they're always making sure they understand exactly what you want and you understand exactly what to expect. You almost can't teach people how to be this good at service, they just have to have it ingrained in their personalities before they even think about it as a job (or career). I checked out monkfish liver and a modern roll (the Jason) with shishito peppers. Monkfish liver really needs to be on more sushi menus around here, I haven't had any in years. It was so good! The Jason roll could have showed a little more peppery flavor--not because anything was missing, but just 'cause I was dying to see how they'd change the overall flavor profile, and they were mild. Or maybe calling it "Jason" makes it seem over the top to me since it made me think of Jason Voorhees. heh The sushi omakase was fantastic, just a grand tour of excellent bites. 10 different fish, all wonderfully flavorful and attention-grabbing. Simple, beautiful presentation. I also had a flight of their 3 Japanese whiskies, which were all completely enjoyable. The Hibiki and Nikka were familiar from past pours, and the Nikka made an excellent finishing touch as the last thing I put away. They have a great sake list with a couple dozen pretty bottles displayed behind the sushi counter. I can't wait to come back, and I hope when I do I have time to sit and shoot the breeze with the staff. They really give this place a refined charm. read more

Nice ambiance, super clean, friendly staff, and very helpful with suggestions. First time here with husband for a date night. Service is quick and on point. Delicious choices we made from tonight's special menu. Had a glass of Sapporo with yuzu-delicious! Both hubby and I enjoyed our first visit here. The sashimi special we had were so good and buttery. Kazoku serves the community with top-notch quality fresh fish and exceptional service, so folks don't have to travel all the way to downtown Seattle or Bellevue to enjoy authentic Japanese dishes. I am all for the more cozy spots, fancy enough to treat yourself but not break the bank, and a place where reservation isn't always necessary. The food was excellent. We're from a family of fishermen and know fresh fish. Dragon roll and Mimi roll delivered a medley of flavors that were discernable. Our server Nathan was very polite and accommodating. He knew when he was needed appearing unobtrusively. The interior is little changed from Sushi Moto, with private spaces and an open dining area where the noise level allows for good conversation. read more

Robert Roll (8pc)-hotate and hamachi $24 Shishito peppers-w/ truffle salt and bonito flakes $9 Chawanmushi-egg custard w/ seafood $12 Chef's choice 5 pc nigiri and zaru soba $32 Shiromi Carpaccio $19 Tensei sake-$24 Special Yuzu beer -$10 Crepe cake-vanilla (from Japan) $10 Kazoku means "family" and their mission is to serve the highest quality sushi while making you feel like family. We sat at the bar and read a book written by Chef Bobby who was a former sumo wrestler! Started off with shishito peppers with truffle salt and bonito flakes. Then got the chawanmushi which was DELICIOUS. It's a steamed egg custard with white fish, fish cake, shrimp, shitake mushroom, and bay scallop. You cannot leave without trying this!!! The Robert roll consisted of hotate (scallop), cucumber, tobiko inside, chopped hamachi with negi on top with lemon zest and ponzu. The hamachi and hotate together was perfect. They make their own unique blend of yuzu beer and it was very refreshing and the balance of sweetness and citrus with the beer was just right. The chef highly recommended we try the crepe cake because it is from Japan and the brown sugar syrup is also from Japan so it isn't overly sweet. Perfect dessert to end your date night! Kazoku's one year anniversary is on August 24, 2024 and they are having a special 21+ all you cant eat AND all you can drink event.
