We brought our own High chair that attaches to the table. The hostess greeted us, there were several available tables. We asked if we'd be able to use our own high chair and she said she'd need to ask the manager. When they returned, the manager said that we couldn't use the chair because we did not make a reservation for 5 people and they had no available tables to safely accommodate the high chair. We politely asked about the no less than 3 tables that seemed appropriate and safe, he stated that because these were larger tables (for 6 people instead of our now 5), he could not do this. I asked him, "so you can't accommodate the baby at all?" He said "No." We asked if we could hold her and he said sure and sat us at the smallest most inconvenient crammed in table that he could - I'm confident out of spite. Our dinner was miserable as our daughter wanted to be in her own seat instead of confined to our arms. So inevitably we had to take turns just taking her outside. At no point could we all be together. My parents were leaving from this dinner to the airport, it was our last hour together for many months and it was so spoiled by this awful experience. To be clear - the tables that we inquired about that would have "safely" accommodated the high chair were empty for the duration of our meal. Also of note, since there were MANY available reservation times on open table, I could have just walked out and made a reservation for five and walked back in - since his argument this entire time was that I made an inappropriately sized reservation by not including my baby. I did not do this because it felt very clear that I was facing discrimination rather than sensibility. To be clear - our hostess who was also our waitress was absolutely lovely and voiced that this situation didn't make sense to her either. I learned that tuna skin is much tougher than salmon skin so can't be eaten like salmon skin chips. He also said that the trimmed parts can be taken for free if anyone wants them. Apparently they make good crab bait! Medium w/ Rice, Traditional Limu Ahi, Hamachi, Mac Salad ($21.50) - I love the Hamachi poke mix. It's fresh, tender, and buttery fish tossed in a creamy and slightly spicy sauce, filled with little briny pearls and plenty of aromatics giving a super umami bite. The Limu Ahi is very fresh as well - I mean, it's sliced right in front, and there's so much turnover of the food that's it's pretty much guaranteed fresh. The tuna is fresh and tender, but there's noticeably more sinew compared to the hamachi. The Mac Salad is also really good. It's super creamy and the macaroni isn't overcooked so it still has some bite. The rice is unfortunately the weakest item in the bowl. It's a little too dry for my tastes and is only lightly tossed with rice vinegar, giving a tangy flavor. The Hamachi is only available on weekends and the fish is so fatty it almost melts in your mouth with the creamy and tangy sauce. The Shoyu Salmon is incredibly succulent and just a classic knocked out of the park with a great balance of fresh, salty, and slightly sweet. The ambiance is fast-paced and casual. You order from a tablet, and your food arrives via conveyor belt to your table. Most diners aren't here longer than 1-2 hours. It can get a bit loud due to close seating and the conveyor/robot activity, but it's nothing that takes away from the overall experience. As long as the food and service stay consistent, I'll keep coming back whenever I'm in the mood for quick, convenient sushi. TL;DR: Reliable spot for quick, good sushi with a fun conveyor setup. Also, I take people with kids here because the entertainment value is so high with the water delivery robot and the automatic track delivery system. It's a fun ambiance - like we're living in the future. My favorites are the seared garlic salmon, the french roll, and the negi hama roll. For the hot foods, it's hands down the oden udon and the chicken katsu donburi. Definitely highly recommended.
