Pork and beef. Chicken skewers
Tim V.

Great teriyaki! The beef and pork is great! Loved eating it. The chicken skewer is a bit dry. I've had better at sushi spots.

Found another tasty teriyaki place in the Lynnwood area, I ordered the Spicy Chicken & Beef Teriyaki w/Brown Rice; however it didn't come with brown rice when I arrived back at the office. Think the brown rice was a simple overlook. The food was very good in my opinion, chicken and beef were cooked very well; steak was not overdone. The spice level was decent, gave the meal a little kick but not over powered. I would recommend Teriyaki Plus if you're in the area. I'll definitely be back for some of the other dishes on their menu.

So happy we tried this place! Preasonably priced for great portions. Katsu from teriyaki places can be a gamble, but these folks did it right for sure. Salad ingredients were fresh, and we like that they served the sauces on the side. The service was also very kind and friendly. Definitely our new go-to!

Good price, good foods I usually can tell if a dish has lots of substitution and msg to make the foods taste good. This is one of the healthiest and closet to home cooking Teriyaki I have had. no extra taste boost ingridient or msg. Great customer serivce, owner always happy and welcome. make you feel relax after a long day. RECOMMENED!

It could be a long wait but honestly totally worth it! The owner is pretty chill and he even remembers every customer. Very nice atmosphere, cute deco for the food. Sadly they don't open on Sunday. Overall I give this 10/10 for the katsu!

The California roll- so good!

We were craving some something warm and since this one was the closest in the area and one of the only places that has ramen, we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Red Volcano Tonkotsu And Tonkotsu Ramen. The ramen noodle itself was good and chewy. Egg was perfectly cooked with yolk on the inside and well marinated on the outside. We thought the broth was okay, it needed more flavor and it didn't really taste like authentic Japanese ramen to us. The red volcano was very very spicy, I do not recommend if you cannot handle spice, I really thought it was just a kick of spice before ordering but it was actually very spicy that it was almost impossible to enjoy the broth. The regular tonkotsu was lighter in flavor. Both ramen dishes had this pickled vegetable and bok choy in there which is not like traditional Japanese ramen but we didn't mind the extra crunch. I wouldn't get the ramen again but I'm open to trying their sushi if I ever go again.

Solid spot for Japanese food that is relatively close to Alderwood Mall! I tried the tonkotsu ramen…read morewhich was good but I did wish the broth was more flavorful. The menu is pretty extensive so I do want to try other stuff on it in the future. The spacing is really plentiful too.

We shared the sushi nachos which we a little soggy and something we would pass on next time. The sushi rolls were fresh and tasted great. The Kay roll was the most intriguing since it was all vegetarian with sweet potato being the star of the show. Very delicious and fun for the veggie ppl out there. Good spot, large dining room so you don't feel cramped, service was great. The wooden partitions and traditional Japanese design elements create a cozy space that is both elegant and relaxed. It is the kind of place where you can take your time and actually enjoy the experience, not just the food. What really stood out to me was the freshness and presentation. You can literally see the quality at the sushi bar, with beautifully cut fish displayed right in front of you. It immediately builds trust and anticipation. I ordered a mix of items, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The crispy rolls we had were perfectly balanced, with a light crunch on the outside and very fresh, flavorful fish on top. The textures were just right, not greasy, not heavy, just clean and satisfying. The crab tempura roll was also excellent, with a nice crispiness and generous portions. One of my favorite parts was how vibrant everything looked. The colors, the plating, the little details like the garnish and sauce all showed care and attention. It did not feel like standard sushi you can get anywhere, it felt curated. The menu itself is also really interesting. There are classic options, but also more elevated dishes like uni, toro selections, and specialty items that make the experience feel a bit more premium without being intimidating. You can go simple or explore more refined flavors depending on your mood. Service was smooth and pleasant. Nothing felt rushed, and everything came at a good pace. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, this is definitely a spot I would come back to. It hits that perfect balance between quality, atmosphere, and price. Whether you are going for a casual sushi night or something a bit more special, Kazoku delivers. Highly recommend. I felt like I was in Japan. I miss Japan .

Yet, it's disappointing to say that we've been sourly disappointed the last 2-3 times we came here. Not sure if it's management change or something happened, but Nakagawa lost its magic with us. 1. The service has been terribly slow and just not inviting anymore. After ordering, we waited easily 35-40 min for the food. I know it takes time to meticulously prep rolls, but after 30 min of just sitting and waiting, you can't help but start feeling hangry. And this isn't just a one-time occurrence - this happened multiple times for us. 2. The bento box quality. I LOVE bento boxes - it was such a treat to dine on so many different Japanese options, like a sampler box of goodness. Ranging from nigiri to sushi, from tempura to the soup, bento boxes have a special place in my heart. Yet, I feel like Nakagawa's bento boxes have sadly missed that mark. The protein (chicken teriyaki/katsu) tastes old and oddly mushy, and the portions are quite small, just leaving me wanting more. Don't get me wrong - the fish is still good. Solid place for seafood, paired with a lengthy wait. But Nakagawa just lost its touch with us, and driving that 30-35 min trek is not worth it for us anymore.
