Very tasty teriyaki! I do recommend calling ahead for take-out orders; I got a bit of a glare and that suggestion once when walking in to order--not the most optimal customer service. But, the food was tasty enough to make up for it (though I'd still go to Toshi's first and foremost). If you love combative customer Service than this is your place! Been coming here for over a year for at-home-date night. The food is marginal but easy. The 1 time they messed up my order became the last time I'm going here. Ordered spicy large 1/2 chicken 1/2 beef. walked all the way home to real my order was wrong. Called them. Was asked to bring it back which I did. They replaced the beef in the original container I brought back (full of cold chicken and rice). I asked politely is the other stuff warm, because I don't have a microwav....well. It went downhill from there. The male cook/owner comes out telling y he "hates lies!" I didn't even know what he meant. Then they bring my plate bake with cold rice. I cleaned My hands and checked the rice...ice cold. When I brought that up back come chef/man getting in my face so I sat down to tell him I wasn't being confrontationa. Later after receiving the corrected order in the old container (I had cut the lid off), my wife and I came back to simply get our money back, returning their food. Again cook man approached me almost putting his hands on me. I asked him to back away and again sat down to show I wasn't being confrontational. After he yelled, we did get our money back and left. I have been going here for years. Always call in order chicken and beef teriyaki (2 orders, 1 spicy). Also order chicken yakisoba. Today I went to pick up and lady tried to give me wrong order. Ok I said but I ordered chicken and beef teriyaki. She rudely told me I orders chicken and katsu. I corrected her thinking she has me mixed me up with another order. It takes a pretty egregious error for me to knock two stars off, but I got the lunch portion of the spicy chicken & gyoza and it was COMICALLY small. I guess I should be grateful because I caught my bus due to the time I saved not having to eat a normal sized teriyaki dish. The hostess had the audacity to give me food that was returned DURING A PANDEMIC! My order was gone when I stepped back in the restaurant to pick it up. the hostess had told me they'd make it again. When I saw a lady come back with a bag of food and the hostess taking it to the back, I had doubts but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. She grabbed the returned food, went back in the kitchen, helped a customer at the register and gave me my order. But what doesn't sit right with me is that she decided to pretend that it was not returned and fresh when I was in the restaurant. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this careless establishment. What I love most is that the teriyaki chicken breast has little bits of char on it -- unlike some places where it can taste almost boiled... My first teriyaki experience was here 8 years ago. Since then I've had lots of teriyaki at different places and this place always set the standard, remains solid and is close-to-home. All of their dishes are delicious and the customer service is always respectful and efficient. I love their mayo-based dressing that comes with the side salads. I like that this is within walking distance from home. However, came in for a quick bite. Line is crazy for people who called in to go orders. Took 25 minutes for an indoor order of fried rice. I realize they are busy, but not once checked on us. Kinda strange. I think I will stick to free delivery from Jade, down the road. Their house fried rice is 5 star, this fried rice is maybe a 3.5 stars. Bummer because it is a great location. read more

I am still in shock about the horrible experience I had here!!! I picked up chicken teriyaki for lunch. I got back to work & it was plain chicken & rice with a splash of teriyaki sauce. After work I took it back & asked them to remake it & the owner started screaming at me!!!! I told him there was no sauce & he said he saw me go to my silver car & took the sauce out. First, I don't have a silver car, & I didn't check it till I got back to work, told him that but he continued to yell I was a lier!!! I seriously can't believe it, I just wanted them to remake it with sauce like any teriyaki restaurant do. After asking 3 times & getting screamed out & asked for my money back. He started yelling again about not having money to pay rent. The woman who also worked there did give me my money back. Food was hot, well packaged, and all possible protocols in place for COVID prevention (including a small cup of "clean" pens and "used" pens for signing receipts). It was our first time ordering here, and we had expected the portions to be a little larger. (The teriyaki place closest to our home has ridiculously large portions and has made us a little trigger shy!) However, everything was very good, and we will be back. (When I say portions are small: at our local place, four dinners will more than feed 8 adults. Here, four dinners was not quite enough for three adults and three kids. haha. I love teriyaki and have had a lot throughout the years, and I've yet to find a better teriyaki joint anywhere. The rice is sticky and cooked perfectly (others' rice is too dry). The meat is grilled to order and ends up nice and moist, unlike many other places. The teriyaki sauce is amazing and is a bit more viscous than other places, which I really like. Now all of this is great, but if you really want to be impressed, the yakisoba will knock your socks off. Best I've ever had! read more
