I've had food from Bam Bam a few times with mixed results. The Beef Soup dish is very bland, but you are given a good meat portion. The bibimbap is fine, but also lacking in flavor. The pork Katsu has been consistently excellent and I highly recommend. Service was excellent, but the music was very loud and jarring.

I wasn't even hungry but the ingredients of the bibimbop were so fresh that I ate almost the whole thing. Husbands food was also delicious. Nice inside, really nice stuff.

Cozy and clean Korean restaurant in the heart of Ardmore! There is parking in a nearby lot, but my friend and I walked from Suburban Square. We walked in for dinner at 8pm, an hour before closing, and the owner was not friendly about it. He seemed annoyed and rushed us out before they closed at 9pm. The food was good! I ordered the stir fried spicy pork sizzling platter with white rice ($20). Thankfully, they still gave us the complementary side dishes (banchan). With their other entrees however, most proteins are in addition to the base price on the main page of the digital menu. Not the most welcoming environment in the late evening. From feeling rushed to watching the staff clean and having the music off, I would not look forward to another visit. tldr Food 4/5 Service 3/5 Ambiance 3/5

10/10 would recommend!! great food, fast service, and great music!! our waiter was so kind!

The place was cozy and the ambiance was very relaxed. The owner Gene was super friendly and was very nice to my son which my husband and I greatly appreciated. The food was delicious! The spicy pork stir fry was generous in portion size and the sauce was flavorful. The veggie scallion pancake was crispy and delicious as well. I have been craving for good Korean food here in PA ever since I moved here from Chicago and I am so happy we found this spot. We will be coming back for sure!

I've been here two times already! The service was great and our food was also pretty good! For the bidimbap we were hoping for more meat but overall everything was delicious. Will be returning!!!

Bibimbab (egg should be sunny side up.. but it was well done :/) No miso soup or anything comes with it

I like the atmosphere and interior Clean and modern looking Menu is kind of limited, and they charge additional for protein in certain food, Ordered bibimbab, which was listed as $15 but i was charged $16, my friend added bulgogi(beef meat) which was additional $3, Cheese fire chicken was $23 i asked alotta cheese without knowing it's $2 extra All came out 63 something after tax Small parking is next the building if you are lucky to find a space and it's metered They give small korean yogurt drink at the end Portion was not big for chicken for $25 and considering chicken isn't that pricy even with inflation, wonder if it's worth it. It will be nice to have some small soup with the bibimbab.. which normally do in most places

Complimentary sampler - so good. The one of the far right has a kick to it, but I love spicy.

The bone I've been picking with their neighbor a few blocks away did me a favor because we would not have discovered this delicious gem. I had the Misugaru since I saw it was a traditional Korean drink and I'm usually told on anything described as traditional... even if it doesn't sound like my cup of tea. Pretty much I will try anything that doesn't have the words cilantro, licorice, and tobacco. Korean traditional multi grain drink based on honey and milk with soybean, brown rice, Indian millet, millet seed, black bean, black rice, rice, peanut, sesame seed, and carrot. I wasn't sure upon my first sip. I think I was indifferent but it grew on me. It is creamy and rich and I can taste the honey, soybean, black sesame, and peanut. It would make an amazing soft serve. I recommend trying it. We started off with a large Mandoo Combo (4 Ribeye Mandoo, 4 Pork Kimchi Mandoo, 3 Veggie Mandoo, 5 Shrimp Shumai). It was served with their house made dipping sauce and they were all so delicious. The sampler is the way to go. There's almost always one thing I'm not cuckoo for when large samplers, but this was not the case. So treat yourself to a combo and get the best four worlds. When the staff brought it out, he took the time to tells which mandoo was what. A lot of people do not take the 10 seconds out if their day to do that unless you're in ultra fine dining (and that's probably or else they'll get fired). Soft tofu soup with diced zucchini and ribeye with an egg. Very delicious but portion is too tiny :(. It was probably the most I've paid for soft tofu soup given the size. I don't think it comes it rice, but I feel like they'd give you some since the staff are so kind and gracious. I definitely do not like egg yolk and I accidentally broke into one because I didn't know there was egg. The broth was so flavorful I couldn't even taste the yolk. Thd soft is great texture, sometimes it is too soft and it disintegrates when you scoop. If this is all you're planning to get, maybe get an appetizer too. I think Korean "sweet and savory" is one of the few sweet/savory I truly enjoy, versus good old traditional American BBQ sauce/pulled pork/etc. LA Galbi - Marinated bone-in prime ribs grilled in house special sauce. Served on cast iron skillet on a bed of fresh onions. Leaner cuts of meat compared to the Honey Pork. Very good, but maybe not for you if you don't like eating around the bones. Honey Pork - Korean marinated pork with "Galbi" sauce and cooked on grill. Served on cast iron skillet on a bed of fresh onions. Pork are a bit on the fatty side, but it is also where all the flavor is. Of the meat entrees, Honey Pork (also recommend by one of the staff) is definitely a good go-to. I cannot wait to come back because I also want to try their Neobiani Bulgogi next!

Went in kinda late but they were still serving food and there were other patrons around. Inside was fine, modern, typical for a casual meal. Service was fast and super friendly, and the food was tasty. The mushroom soft tofu was good with a nice variety of mushrooms, if a bit thin--they didn't give us an egg to crack into it, which was weird, given that every other Korean restaurant I've ever been to does. I assume they'd give you one if you paid for it? I enjoyed my spicy galbi tang, but not sure it was worth $25. And the honey garlic wings were fried extra crispy with good flavor, if a tiny bit dry inside. For being so close by, it's a pretty good option, but it's more expensive than I'd expect for a casual spot on the Main Line.

I enjoyed my dalgona coffee while watching the kdrama that was on. I've never been here so I wanted to try a few things, I got the Mul Naengmyeon and a Jeyuk Quesadilla. The soup was refreshing; I've had something similar before and enjoyed the chewy noodles and savory broth. The quesadilla had good flavor but was very greasy. I was able to eat about half using chopsticks to eat the filling out of the tortilla. Service was average. I really enjoy the overall vibe of the eatery and would like to come back with friends and maybe try the tteokbokki. Is on the pricier side for three items, I paid $49. Still very cute and would recommend though!

The upside is that it was inexpensive, which is what drew me there in the first place. My very first time eating there in March 2026. I'll start with the good: the Hong Kong wonton soup, the egg drop soup, & the beef chow fun. I would return for these items. The bad: the duck rolls, the shrimp with lobster sauce. The duck rolls, I took one bite, and that was enough. The duck was dry, it didn't have good flavor, I'm not sure if it was particularly fresh. It tasted like it could be the duck that's about to be shrink. The shrimp in lobster sauce was the worst I've ever had. Absolutely no taste. I do not use condiments and I had to put soy sauce in it. I have hypertension, I do not use soy sauce! I had to use it to choke it down. That was the most expensive dish and almost $17 so no way that was being wasted. And there was barely any shrimp in it. The ugly: The egg roll & crispy fried noodles. The oil must be very old. The egg roll was so dark and soft with oil that the oil was dripping off of it and filling the little wax paper bag. The noodles were also too dark and tasted gross like being fried and old oil. I would never get anything fried from this place ever.

Though we hadn't been there in years, Golden Bowl came to mind. Consensus: we spent a bit more than we usually do, but the food was a couple of notches better. As a point of comparison, we ordered our usual soups: hot & sour and egg-drop wonton. Hot & sour was thick and spicy. (To temper the heat, I cut my serving with spoonfuls of egg-drop.) Wontons were nicely filled and less doughy than our usual take-outs. Two thumbs up for the soup. Mongolian Beef is my husband's favorite. We both agreed that Golden Bowl's version is pretty good. Our other dish, Sizzling Triple Delight, is best eaten in the restaurant. Nothing was sizzling, but the components -- beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables -- were well prepared. Broccoli was al dente and the brown sauce was rich and flavorful. All-in-all, branching out paid off. We'll most assuredly do it again.
