    Soy garlic wings with rice
    Ben J.

Food was good quality, you could tell it was not from a bag or frozen. Soy garlic had the option of spicy or not spicy. Spicy was not too overpowering. Service was straight forward nothing crazy Open food court so the vibe depends on the day, wasn't busy on a Sunday evening

Quick service. Food was delicious. Perfect place to get homemade Korean food before or after shopping. Will come back

There a couple of Korean BBQ restaurants near me in Ardmore but have a limited selection of the hot post stew style dishes which I crave. Before I did monthly bulk Asian grocery haul at H-Mary I had to get my favorite stew- yukgaejang in the food court. The menu has wide variety of stews, noodle soup and bbq. Watching the other orders- all look so delicious. My stew had tender shredded beef, glass noodles and some dried Vegetable roots and mushrooms ( don't know the types- but delicious.) and green onions in a spicy beef broth. Comes with a bowl of rice, Kim chee and a side of the day( this time it was boiled peanuts) I take a scoop of rice in the broth with the big spoon they give you and it is so comforting. I want to try anther stew but I keep ordering yuk gae jang ! Prices are significantly reasonable compared to the sit restaurants I've been in Blue Bell and elsewhere. I will be back on my next grocery trip! Tip: you return your tray to the counter when you are done eating. Napkins are ice cream napkins - I bring extra ones Lol. Also bring wipes to clean the table- I don't see anyone cleaning up in food court.

Eating at the food court when visiting H Mart is a must! This was my first time eating at Jian and I wasn't disappointed. The portions are well above what I expected for the price. The pancake was enough for the four of us to share and packed full of scallions and carrot. The bulgogi had nice flavor and I had enough leftover for dinner.

I really enjoy the dishes here, great place for some decent and quick Korean Food, inexpensive & great portions.

I usually get the spicy pork bulgogi but wanted to switch it up going with the chicken and thinking it wouldn't be spicy but it is lol it's good though. The wait for the food wasn't long either, just a peaceful and simple feast at the food court, other people are nice too

Atop the H-Mart is a food court where you can find delicious treats including Beef Bulgogi and Spicy Chicken Bulgogi. Our orders included rice, boiled seasoned peanuts, kimchi, miso broth and a variety of sauces to add the heat. My Bulgogi also came with chopped lettuce, pickled vegetables, seaweed, and sauce. The chicken Bulgogi was spicy. There was enough for leftovers the next day. Jian Korean Cuisine is usually busy. If you have to wait for your order you can always grab some S & P bubble tea and check out the houseware section or beauty store on that floor, or check in and prepare to write your yelp review. We did take out, but there are seats if you want to eat in. The tables are clean, but the atmosphere is a food court on top of a supermarket, not upscale and not quiet. The food is affordable and fresh, it tastes good and there is a lot to choose from. Plus the bonus of having all that H-Mart offers just steps away!

09/24/21; Came here during our planned HMart run yet finished food too late that HMart was closed ;/ The environment in the food court is not that ideal. But for Sundubu Jjige, haven't had it for such a long time and this is absolutely satisfying.

One floor above the Upper Darby H-Mart, Jian Korean Cuisine sits in the far corner of the food court. There's a sizable menu of classic Korean dishes -- you got your jjigaes, your pancakes, your bokkeumbaps. I stared at the menu for a solid 7 minutes before settling on the Kimchi Dol-Sot (hot stone pot rice). Uh... it's alright. Banchan (side dishes) of radish (aight), miso soup (ok), and pickles with sesame seeds (not today, not ever). The audible crackle of the stone pot was the best part of the meal lowkey. It was a very average Korean meal, and tasted like a sauce dump. Sadly, Philly seems to be somewhat devoid of good Korean food (someone please change my mind on this!), although this would be considered decent on Philly standards.

Jian Korean Cuisine is located on the second floor of HMart in a food court. It's the stall that's all the way in the corner. There's usually parking in front of the supermarket and there's a lot across the street as well. I got the Yookgaejang ($8.99) and it comes with kimchi, pickles, and water. For the amount of food they give you I think it's not too badly priced. I think some items on the menu are better than others though. I enjoyed my dish and thought it was flavorful, but the dish that my friend ordered tasted odd. My soup definitely hit the spot and satisfied my craving, but this isn't a place that I'd purposefully come to unless I was also grocery shopping. TLDR: Average Korean food but it's convenient place to satisfy your craving for Korean food while grocery shopping.

    #28 - LA Gal-Bi

This is one of my go-to Korean spots. It's located on the second floor of the Hmart, in the farthest left-hand corner. Parking can be a hassle during peak times, because the spots in front of the stores is shared, but there's two parking lots across the street. I either get the #28 (LA Gal-Bi) or #32 (Spicy Pork Bulgogi). Both are super flavorful and the spicy pork bulgogi is pretty mild. All dishes here are served with rice, soup, kimchi, and nuts. When you dine in, the entrees are served on a sizzling pan and everything is placed on trays. There are also small styrofoam cups you can get at the counter and refill at one of the water dispensers. If you want sodas, teas, bottled waters, etc. they do serve them in the fridge behind the counter. Most of the dishes are around $10, but some are slightly pricer. All of the dishes fill me up and I even have leftovers. The LA-Gal-Bi is $14 and the Spicy Pork Bulgogi is $10. I would recommend this place if you want to try new Korean dishes, but don't want to waste too much money in case you don't love it.

I love this little walk up restaurant on the second floor of HMart. The Yukaejong is my automatic go to meal. This is a one pot, deep red broth, spicy soup, thick with shredded beef, scallions and other veggies. The Yukaejong is spicy, and is literally piping hot. The atmosphere is otherwise no frills. Cafeteria style tables, sit where you can. My son loves the less spicy but no less delicious beebimbap. Parking is easy, as is walking from the train.

Number 14. Fish and veggies. Very good, super hot and not too spicy
    Patrick C.

I was working in the area and this place was suggested to me by one of the locals as the "Best Korean Food" in the area. She wasn't wrong. The food was very good. So good that I went back the next day for more. The first day I had number 14. It was a fish and vegetable dish that was freshly cooked and served boiling hot. It was good! The fish was very tasty and the vegetables were great. The menu said it was a spicy dish, and it was, but not too spicy. The second day I had number 33. It was a chicken dish. Again, it was very good. Lots of chicken! The food is ordered at the counter and then cooked. It's served on a cafeteria tray with sides. The seating is shared with other restaurants. They are located on the second floor of the H Market. They are in the far left corner.

If I were comparing this to LA BBQ I would have to give it 1 star... if I were to compare it to NY, GA or even VA K-BBQ then it would get 2 stars. But if you are just judging things from Philly proper... I can give it 3 1/2 stars for the attentiveness of the staff and making sure that all the different meats are available and brought quickly. I just really think for the price, the quality of the meat should be much better. I don't know if people are eating too much and the restaurant needs to compensate for it, but some of the meats were cut too thick and the steak tasted a bit older. The best part of the meal were the 2 stews on the side. They were well seasoned and tasted great! I'll be back to try it again and see if there are any improvements.

The meats were good - in particular I enjoyed the Hawaiian steak, shrimp, and squid. I wish there were more vegetable options than just the mushrooms and onions, since there is just so much meat, but since we ordered the 'unlimited,' we just kept asking our server to bring out more mushrooms and onions. My only complaint is that the same tongs were being used to handle both raw and cooked meat - I always learned growing up to not cross-contaminate, and even when we have hot pot at home and similar dining in other restaurants, there are always at least two sets of utensils for this reason.
